Abstract

Reading has a big effect on students' ability to accept subject matter, especially text-based learning, students who are unable to read well will have difficulty participating in learning activities for all subjects. This study aims to improve the process and skills of beginning reading through the use of syllable card media for first grade students at Public Elementary School 12 Pahambek. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were 10 students in class I at 12 Pahambek Public Elementary School. The object of research is the improvement of beginning reading skills. This research was conducted in two cycles with each cycle consisting of two meetings. Data collection techniques using observation and tests. Data analysis techniques using descriptive quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that early reading skills through the use of syllable card media in grade I students at SD Negeri 12 Pahambek experienced a good improvement. This is evident from the average achievement in the pre-action percentage of 37.48%, in cycle I increased to 54.66% and in cycle II to 84.19%. Thus the results of this second cycle have fulfilled the predetermined action success criteria.

Abstract

This research method is a type of classroom action research conducted in two cycles. This research place will be carried out at SD Negeri 11 Pudung carried out in class VI totaling 28 students, namely 13 male students and 15 female students.Cycle I consists of 2 meetings and cycle 2 consist of 1 meeting with the results obtained showing an increase in learning motivation and learning outcomes of grade VI students of SD 11 Pudung Researchers concluded that learning activities delivered using Powerpoint Media can increase motivation and learning outcomes. In the initial condition, the average student learning motivation of 52 is included in the low category. In cycle I, the average learning motivation became 74 in the medium category, then there was an increase in cycle II to 89 in the high category. This indicates an increase in student motivation after being given action using PowerPoint media. The average learning outcome in the initial condition was 65.32 and increased in cycle I to 78.45 and cycle II to 84.18. The percentage of learning completeness in the initial condition was 53.58% and increased in cycle I to 78.58% and cycle II to 92.58%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the participation and learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 15 Kapalokoto Kec. Sungaipua is still low. This can be seen that many students are less enthusiastic about learning. The research aims to determine the influence of the Picture and Picture Cooperative Learning Model on the Participation and Learning Outcomes of Class IV Elementary School Students. This research was conducted on fourth-grade students of SDN 15 Kapalokoto Kec. Sungaipua for the 2021/2022 academic year. The experimental research design used was a randomized control group-only design. Participation test data were obtained through student participation questionnaires. The results showed that: (1) There was an effect of student participation being taught a cooperative model of picture and picture type, (2) there was an effect of student learning outcomes taught a cooperative model of picture and picture type.
