Abstract

One type of technological development that occurs is the development in video games. Video games are one way to fill free time and can be played by many people. Many companies are strategizing promotions to players to make players interested in the video games offered. The intention of this study is to determine the marketing strategies carried out by Steam and Epic Games, measure the level of effectiveness of video games marketing strategies carried out by Steam and Epic Games, and to fulfill obligations as one of the students majoring in system information at Batam International University. Data collection techniques begin with compiling a research background and formulating an operational definition of variables. Then, continued by looking for quantitative data by making a questionnaire based on the operational variables which is distributed to residents of Batam city and looking for qualitative data By interview. This research result proves either with quantitave or qualitative method discount promotion offers can affect video games sales. While, sales value, discount price factor, competitors offering discount, and bundle product offering does not affect video games sales.conclusions.

Abstract

Modern web application development requires selecting an optimal framework to ensure maximum efficiency and performance. This research compares two leading frameworks, Laravel (using PHP) and Express.js (using JavaScript), in the context of building RESTful APIs. The purpose of this research is to compare the performance of Laravel and Express.js through performance testing, with a focus on the API response to student data access in the MySQL database. The research method used is performance testing which involves realistic test scenarios and performance metrics such as response time. The research results provide a deep understanding of the performance advantages and disadvantages of Laravel and Express.js in API development. This research helps developers choose a framework that suits project needs, considering efficiency and speed in developing RESTful APIs. The test results show the superiority of the Laravel framework with an average response time of 1745.7 ms faster than Express.js. This Laravel is better suited for applications with high concurrent user access, while Express.js is a good choice for applications with a lower number of simulated users. Framework selection must consider both response speed and specific application needs and consider the specifications of the server used. The implication of this research can help developers optimize web application development, increase efficiency, and ensure maximum performance according to the project goals

Abstract

Laporan ini menguraikan pelaksanaan kegiatan magang sebagai Web Developer di PT. Weefer Indonesia, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang teknologi informasi dan pengembangan perangkat lunak. Tujuan dari magang ini adalah memberikan kontribusi kepada mitra dalam menciptakan antarmuka pengguna yang intuitif dan responsif pada aplikasi web internal. Selama program magang, penulis terlibat dalam pengembangan frontend, optimasi performa tampilan, serta integrasi dengan backend melalui API. Metode yang digunakan meliputi perancangan komponen UI, penggunaan framework modern, dan pengujian fungsional. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan kepuasan pengguna internal dan efisiensi proses pengembangan.

Abstract

Di tengah perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat, banyak perusahaan mulai beralih ke solusi digital untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, khususnya dalam proses produksi dan pelaporan data. Di PT. Dynacast Indonesia, pencatatan hasil produksi harian masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga menimbulkan keterlambatan dan ketidakakuratan dalam penyampaian informasi kepada manajemen. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dikembangkan sebuah sistem backend sebagai bagian dari Sistem Output Harian. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mendukung pendataan produksi secara real-time melalui API yang dapat diintegrasikan dengan frontend yang dikembangkan oleh tim lain. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi literatur, wawancara langsung dengan mitra, serta observasi di lapangan guna memahami kebutuhan sistem dan alur kerja tim produksi. Proses pengembangan sistem dibagi menjadi empat fase: persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan pelaporan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem backend mampu menyimpan dan menyajikan data produksi secara akurat serta dapat diakses secara langsung oleh sistem frontend. Selain itu, sistem ini membantu meningkatkan efisiensi proses pelaporan dan mempermudah manajemen dalam mengevaluasi kinerja produksi. Dengan demikian, pengembangan backend sistem Daily Output Production memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan transparansi, produktivitas, dan profesionalisme pada proses produksi di PT. Dynacast Indonesia.
