Abstract

Online transportation applications are vital in meeting daily mobility needs in today's world. The fierce competition between transportation apps like Maxim and Indrive demands a deep understanding of user satisfaction factors to ensure preference and loyalty. This study aims to recognize and compare elements that impact user satisfaction of the two applications. User satisfaction with both applications. Using the quantitative method of data for the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) was gathered via an online survey. from 89 respondents. These questionnaires are designed to measure specific aspects of the user experience. The data analysis findings indicate that Maxim achieved a superior user experience score over InDrive because it excelled in attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. These findings indicate that service availability and the quality of user interaction with the application determine user satisfaction. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of understanding user preferences and providing services that meet their needs and offer a superior user experience. These results can potentially guide the development of strategies to increase user satisfaction and loyalty in the ride-hailing industry.

Abstract

Internet technology evolution has catalyzed transformative shifts across industries, reshaping digital business operations. This research examines EmcoToys, a hypothetical toy industry case, demonstrating web application development for market expansion and product promotion enhancement. The study applied the Waterfall methodology to design and construct a website through sequential phases: requirements gathering, system design, implementation, verification, and maintenance planning. Requirements analysis distinguished between functional and non-functional specifications, while the design phase utilized Entity Relationship Diagrams and use case modeling alongside low-fidelity interface prototypes. The implementation phase leveraged Laravel and Bootstrap frameworks for front-end architecture, with SQL managing database operations. Verification procedures through black box testing validated all system functionalities with complete success rates. The maintenance strategy prioritized content management accessibility and sustainable technical architecture through contemporary frameworks. This research advances existing literature by applying the Waterfall model specifically to toy industry e-commerce development, addressing a notable research gap. The resulting system delivers measurable advantages to EmcoToys: streamlined operational workflows, expanded product market visibility, and optimized user interactions. From a practical standpoint, this work provides a structured framework for companies undertaking similar digital initiatives. Theoretically, the findings affirm the continued applicability of the Waterfall methodology for projects with well-defined parameters and moderate complexity. The project addressed inherent challenges, including restricted user input during initial development stages and database structural inconsistencies, through systematic design refinements and collaborative testing protocols. These strategic adjustments facilitated the delivery of a robust, accessible, and sustainable system aligned with organizational requirements.

Abstract

The success of educational apps is closely tied to the quality of user experience (UX). This study compared the UX of two Japanese language learning apps, Poro and Obenkyou, to examine the impact of different instructional designs. Sixty-five respondents, all of whom had used both apps for at least one week, rated six UX dimensions-Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty-using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Data analysis using the official UEQ tool and independent t-tests showed that both apps received positive ratings on all dimensions, but Poro consistently achieved higher mean scores (e.g., Attractiveness: 1.83 vs. 1.18; Stimulation: 1.89 vs. 1.13). These results indicate a significant difference in user perceptions, with gamification contributing to better UX. This study highlights the importance of design strategies in educational apps.

Abstract

Color blindness is a hereditary vision disorder that impairs the ability to distinguish certain colors, significantly affecting daily activities and quality of life. This study aims to develop a web-based application using Flask and OpenCV to assist individuals with color blindness in identifying colors accurately. The application incorporates image processing technology to enhance color contrast and simulate real-time color perception adjustments. Employing the Waterfall model of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), the study encompasses requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Key features include Camify, for real-time color adjustments via device cameras, and Pickerify, for detecting colors in uploaded or live images. Testing reveals the application's effectiveness in providing improved color perception for users with various types of color blindness (e.g., Deuteranopia, Protanopia, Tritanopia). Despite minor limitations under extreme lighting conditions, the intuitive user interface and robust functionality make the application accessible to diverse user groups. Future enhancements include integrating AI for personalized filters and expanding compatibility with emerging technologies.
