Abstract

Plancungan village, a small village in Indonesia, has experienced various challenges in developing its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This article discusses the assistance of digitalization of MSMEs products in Plancungan village which is carried out with the aim of increasing competitiveness and market access for MSMEs. The MSMEs products selected are melons, herbal medicine, tempe, crackers, and pottery. This assistance uses training methods for the use of digital technology, website creation and management, and marketing strategies through social media. The results of this assistance show that MSMEs in Plancungan village have experienced increased sales and wider market exposure. In addition, this digitalization assistance also helps MSMEs to be more adaptive to increasingly dynamic market changes. The recommendation that can be given is to continue to develop digital skills and increase cooperation with related parties in order to expand market reach. With the ongoing collaboration and innovation efforts, it is hoped that MSMEs Plancungan village can continue to grow and become one example of success in facing this digital era, and can be an inspiration for other MSMEs to continue to adapt and develop amidst the increasingly tight competition in this digital era. With the increasing development of technology and digitalization, MSMEs Plancungan village is expected to be able to take advantage of existing opportunities to continue to grow and compete in the global market.

Abstract

The emergence of the need for sustainable education, makes waqf a potential solution to support pesantren education by utilizing technology. The role of blockchain as a cutting-edge technology and the development of waqf-based Pesantrens in Indonesia make this study crucial. This article discusses the optimization of waqf as an instrument to support the sustainability of pesantren education by utilizing blockchain technology. This study uses a qualitative methodology to explore the integration of blockchain technology in the pesantren waqf system comprehensively. This study uses a literature study approach from secondary data. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of blockchain in pesantren waqf can increase transparency through irreversible transaction recording, accelerate the distribution of benefits and maintain accountability with smart contracts, even its traceable nature can increase public or waqif trust in waqf management in Pesantrens. In addition, the purpose of this study is to provide an appropriate waqf optimization strategy by utilizing blockchain technology to produce sustainable education. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the use of blockchain which has great potential in optimizing waqf management for the sustainability of pesantren education, but its implementation requires the right adaptation strategy and readiness of waqf managers. The contribution of the study is in the form of literacy of blockchain-based waqf digitalization in Pesantrens and opens opportunities for further research related to practical and policy aspects.

Abstract

Waqf is one of the financial instruments that can improve the socioeconomic status of Ummah. However, the number of waqf assets exceeds expectations due to a lack of proper management. The socioeconomic well-being of the Ummah is among the core principles of waqf management in the form of accountability and transparency. This study aims to unveil the implementation of the Socioeconomic well-being of Waqf Board Management, taking the case of the Muhammadiyah Waqf Council in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This research employs descriptive analysis through structured interviews, passive participation observation, and documentation. The study found that the principles of socio-economics well-being have been implemented by the Waqf Board Management of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in the form of accountability, including compliance and Integrity, Administration, Programs, Practice, and Finance. The principle of transparency includes the level of openness in the delivery of public services, ease of understanding of the rules and procedures for providing services, and the availability of information on various fields of public administration. This paper implies the massive policy direction of Waqf Board Management among the Muhammadiyah Organization in Indonesia, which is the second largest Muslim organization in the country, to ameliorate the way of implementing the socio-economics of waqf management.
