Abstract

This study examines students' learning motivation during the pandemic in the learning process from home. In the learning process, motivation is needed. Motivation can arise from intrinsic (within the individual) or extrinsic (outside the individual). These two factors are very important and continuous in increasing student motivation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning process is carried out from home, so learning motivation can be influenced by several factors. From the research results obtained, there are many factors that do not support the student learning process during the pandemic. These factors, among others; technological skills, internet network connections, learning media used, student capacity for online learning, and so on. Thus, it can be neglected that student motivation during the pandemic in the learning process from home has decreased.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Efektifitas Metode Klasikal Terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Paragraf dan Penggunaan Diksi pada Siswa UPT SPF SD Inpres Mallengkeri I Makassar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, yakni penelitian yang berupaya memberikan gambaran tentang keadaan yang terjadi di lokasi UPT SPF SD Inpres Mallengkeri I Makassar berdasarkan pada kondisi ilmiah objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode klasikal memiliki efektivitas yang tinggi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis paragraf dan pemilihan diksi yang tepat pada siswa. Faktor internal dan eksternal seperti motivasi intrinsik siswa dan dukungan dari keluarga serta lingkungan sekolah memegang peran penting. Namun, tantangan yang ada, perlu diatasi melalui pendekatan yang lebih inovatif dan penguatan sinergi antara sekolah dan keluarga. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the classical method on paragraph writing skills and the use of diction in students of UPT SPF SD Inpres Mallengkeri I Makassar. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative research, which is research that seeks to provide an overview of the situation that occurs at the location of the UPT SPF SD Inpres Mallengkeri I Makassar witha focus on the scientific conditions of the research object. The results of the study show that the classical method has high effectiveness in improving paragraph writing skills and the selection of appropriate diction in students. Internal and external factors such as students' intrinsic motivation and support from their families and school environment play an important role. However, the existing challenges need to be overcome through a more innovative approach and strengthening the synergy between schools and families.
