Abstract

Environmental education in elementary schools is crucial in forming children's environmentally caring character. This study draws inspiration from Kampung Naga, a traditional village in West Java, which shows natural sustainability and a relevant learning philosophy. Through an ethnographic approach, this research highlights the sustainable practices of the Kampung Naga community and applies them to learning at school. The results show that environmental care character education can be integrated through routine, spontaneous, exemplary and conditioning activities. This effort aims to form a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has awareness and commitment to environmental conservation. By combining local values, the principles of mutual cooperation, and community involvement, it is hoped that students can become active agents of change in preserving nature. Through the implementation of environmental care character education, it is hoped that it can create a society that is environmentally aware and contributes positively to ecosystem preservation.

Abstract

Pendidikan lingkungan di sekolah dasar menjadi hal yang krusial dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan pada anak-anak. Studi ini mengangkat inspirasi dari Kampung Naga, sebuah kampung tradisional di Jawa Barat, yang menunjukkan keberlanjutan alam dan filosofi pembelajaran yang relevan. Melalui pendekatan etnografi, penelitian ini menyoroti praktik-praktik keberlanjutan masyarakat Kampung Naga dan menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dapat diintegrasikan melalui kegiatan pembiasaan rutin, spontan, keteladanan, dan pengkondisian. Upaya ini bertujuan membentuk generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademis, tetapi juga memiliki kesadaran dan komitmen terhadap pelestarian lingkungan. Dengan memadukan nilai-nilai lokal, prinsip gotong royong, dan keterlibatan komunitas, diharapkan siswa dapat menjadi agen perubahan yang aktif dalam menjaga kelestarian alam. Melalui implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan, diharapkan dapat menciptakan masyarakat yang sadar lingkungan dan berkontribusi positif terhadap pelestarian ekosistem.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of misconceptions that occur in students in solving fraction problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the research subjects being grade VI students of the 2024/2025 academic year at a school in Kosambi District, Tangerang Regency. The instruments used were written tests and interviews. The written test was in the form of questions about ordering fractions, while the interview aimed to explore the reasons behind the misconceptions made by students. The results of the study showed that the types of misconceptions that occurred were generalization, calculation, and notation misconceptions. These misconceptions were found in students with high, medium, and low ability levels. The analysis of the questions showed students' errors in ordering fractions based on their actual values, understanding the value of mixed fractions, and comparing fractions only based on the numerator or denominator without first equating the denominators. Factors causing misconceptions include lack of interest and motivation to learn, as well as ineffective learning methods. To overcome this misunderstanding, it is recommended that teachers provide a more in-depth explanation of the concept of fractions, use teaching aids, and relate the material to students' daily lives to make it more contextual.
