Abstract

As a form of response to the development of existing scientific paradigms, it is not uncommon for criticism to arise between each other. The development of the Islamization of science itself has given rise to criticism that the Islamization of science is only used as an instrument for the sterilization of modern science which is currently developing. So it has not yet emerged the true substance of Islam. In this research, researchers used qualitative research methods. This research is a type of library research, namely research whose object of study uses library data in the form of books, journals and articles as data sources. The results of the research entitled "Kuntowijoyo's Criticism of the Islamization of Science" explain, among other things, the Islamization of Science as a response to the crisis in modern society which is caused by the large amount of science that has developed based on the West. The Islamization of science is also understood as a way to liberate Western assumptions attached to Islamic science which are then replaced with an Islamic perspective. For Kuntowijoyo, science has a revolutionary nature. When Islam is made into a science, it will also become a paradigm, from which the ability to make changes will emerge. Kuntowijoyo tries to make this knowledge something objective, so objective knowledge does not need to be Islamized. He made a breakthrough, namely "Islamic science". The Islamization of Science makes Muslims closed to methods that originate from outside. Keyword: critics; Kuntowijoyo; Islamization of Science   Sebagai bentuk respon dari berkembangnya paradigma ilmu yang ada, maka tidak jarang muncul kritik antar satu sama lain. Berkembangnya Islamisasi ilmu sendiri telah memunculkan suatu kritikan dimana Islamisasi ilmu hanya dipakai sebagai instrument untuk sterilisasi terhadap ilmu modern yang tengah berkembang. Sehingga belum memunculkan substansi Islam yang sebenarnya. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitan kulaitatif. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pustaka (library research), yakni penelitian yang obyek kajiannya menggunakan data pustaka berupa buku-buku, jurnal, dan artikel sebagai sumber datanya. Hasil dari penelitian yang berjudul “Kritik Kuntowijoyo Terhadap Islamisasi Ilmu” ini dijelaskan antaranya, Islamisasi Ilmu sebagai bentuk respon terhadap krisis di masyarakat modern yang diakibatkan karena banyaknya ilmu yang berkembang bertumpu pada Barat. Islamisasi Ilmu juga dipahami sebagai cara untuk membebaskan asumsi-asumsi Barat yang melekat pada ilmu pengetahuan Islam yang selanjutnya diganti dengan cara pandang Islam. Bagi Kuntowijoyo ilmu memiliki sifat revolusioner. Saat Islam dijadikan ilmu maka ia akan sekaligus menjadi paradigma dari situ akan timbul suatu kemampuan untuk membuat perubahan. Kuntowijoyo berusaha menjadikan ilmu tersebut sebagai sesuatu yang objektif, maka pengetahuan yang objektif tidak perlu diislamisasi. Ia membuat suatu terobosan yaitu “pengilmuan Islam”. Islamisasi Ilmu menjadikan umat Islam tertutup dengan metode-metode yang bersumber dari luar. Kata kunci: kritik; Kuntowijoyo; Islamisasi Ilmu

Abstract

The massively growing Salafi-Wahabi movement in Indonesia has received rejection from various elements of society, including within Muhammadiyah and traditionalist groups such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Salafi-Wahabi is considered to bring a different understanding of Islam and is often not in line with local culture and Indonesian values. In the context of Muhammadiyah, resistance arose because of the infiltration of Salafi-Wahabi ideology, which was considered to weaken the decisions and direction of the Muhammadiyah movement itself. Ideological differences and approaches to preaching are the primary sources of tension between the two. Meanwhile, NU firmly rejects the purification ideology adopted by Salafi-Wahabi, because it is considered to damage the diversity of religious traditions in society. Salafi-Wahabi preaching, which tends to blame the practices of NU members, also strengthens the organisation's rejection of them. This study uses a qualitative method, namely library research. The results of the survey show that Salafi-Wahabi, as a transnational Islamic movement, needs to be watched out for because it often does not follow the moderate and tolerant character of Nusantara Islam. Resistance from Muhammadiyah and NU is a form of defence against Islamic values ​​that are contextual and rooted in local culture.

Abstract

The complexity of modern life has generated profound psychological, social, and spiritual pressures that require a multidisciplinary response. This article analyzes the interrelation between the Islamic concept of tawakal and the philosophy of Stoicism, focusing on both their conceptual foundations and practical implications. Using a literature review method, the study examines relevant books, scholarly articles, and academic works. The findings reveal significant intersections between tawakal and Stoicism, particularly in the principles of self-control, acceptance of what lies beyond human power, and cultivating composure in the face of adversity. While tawakkul is grounded in theological submission to God and Stoicism in rationality and virtue, both can be integrated into a spiritual-philosophical framework that strengthens personal resilience. This study introduces the notion of the “Stoic Muslim” as an integrative model that combines maximum effort, spiritual surrender, and rational emotional regulation. The primary contribution of this research lies in advancing multidisciplinary Islamic scholarship by creating a dialogue between Islamic theology, Western philosophy, and modern psychology. Nevertheless, the study remains limited due to its reliance on theoretical analysis without empirical validation. Future research is recommended to employ qualitative or quantitative methods—such as case studies, in-depth interviews, or psychological surveys—to test the applicability of integrating tawakal and Stoicism in contemporary contexts. Such an approach may provide a more practical framework for enhancing spirituality and psychological resilience in addressing the challenges of modern life.

Abstract

Rasul Paulus merupakan tokoh yang paling terkenal dalam Kitab Perjanjian Baru. Pelayananya sudah melampai batas geografis dan bangsa. Paulus banyak mewartakan Injil dan ajaran Yesus ke banyak bangsa dan tokoh. Ajaran yang dibawa Yesus adalah ajaran tauhid begitu pula ajaran yang diwartakan oleh Paulus tentu tidak sedikit dalam surat-suratnya mengandung konsep tauhid seperti yang telah diuraikan dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengalisis konsep tauhid dalam Surat-Surat Rasul Paulus. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menganalisis konsep tauhid dalam beberapa surat yang ditulis Rasul Paulus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kulaitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka atau library Research dan dengan analisis hermeneutika Paul Ricoer, yang dimana hermeneutika ini cocok digunakan dalam interpretasi teks-teks suci keagamaan.

Abstract

This research aims to explain K.H. Abu Dardiri is an inspirational figure for the Muhammadiyah Association in Purbalingga Regency with a historical approach. The sub-discussion in this research consists of, the history of the founding of Muhammadiyah in Purbalingga Regency, the life history of K.H. Abu Dardiri, The legacy and progress of K.H. Abu Dardiri in Purbalingga Regency, and the exemplary role of K.H. Abu Dardiri as an inspirational figure for the Muhammadiyah Association in Purbalingga Regency.. The method used by researchers in compiling this research is the historical method. A brief conclusion to this research is, K.H. During his lifetime, Abu Dardiri gave many dedications to the people and nation, especially to the Muhammadiyah Association. When Muhammadiyah Purbalingga was first founded, he was elected chairman. The success of the Muhammadiyah Association in Purbalingga Regency cannot be separated from its successors who inherited the spirit and militancy of K.H. Abu Dardiri as an inspirational figure.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah, at its inception, was a religious organization that sought to provide answers to the problems faced by the community at that time. Al-Ma'un Theology is a concept initiated by KH. Ahmad Dahlan, the spirit of the Al-Ma'un letter became Muhammadiyah's support in carrying out social transformation as a form of implementing "Progressive Islam". This type of research is included in the library research category, where the object of study uses data sources from literature. In the research entitled "Muhammadiyah's Social Contribution: From Theology to Real Action" the researcher concluded that Al-Ma'un Theology plays a role as a social, humanitarian, and liberation theology, which emphasizes real action rather than merely classical theological discourse. This makes religion a force that drives social development and societal change. Al-Ma'un Theology functions as a social foundation that integrates religious values with real social action. Muhammadiyah's Amal Usaha (AUM) is a concrete form of action from the Muhammadiyah da'wah movement which acts as a medium for the concrete implementation of Islamic values in various areas of community life. Muhammadiyah responds to contemporary social issues by adopting educational approaches, social services, and religious fatwas that are relevant to the times to respond to current social, cultural, and technological challenges.
