Abstract

Invasive plants are plants that can reproduce quickly and can pose a threat to biodiversity. An inventory was carried out to determine the types of invasive plants in the Cipadung Permai complex, Cibiru District, Bandung City. Inventory was carried out using a purposive sampling method combined with area exploration. Recording and identification based on relevant sources is carried out. From the results of observations, 14 species from 12 different families were found. Some of the invasive plants found were used by residents as ornamental plants.

Abstract

Butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea L.) is a type of ornamental plant characterized by flowers in shades of purple, blue, pink, and white. Besides being an ornamental plant, butterfly pea is also commonly used in traditional medicine. Several previous studies have confirmed its health benefits. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct phytochemical screening for flavonoids, saponins, and alkaloids using the Wilstater method, foam test, Dragendorff’s reagent, and Wagner's test. This study demonstrates the presence of flavonoid, saponin, and alkaloid compounds in butterfly pea flowers, indicated by positive results in various tests conducted.

Abstract

Apocynaceae is a family of plants with characteristics of producing white rubber, having leaves face-to-face or circular, large flowers of striking colors, slightly fragrant scents, as well as crowns The flower consists of five parts. The family has 155 tribes and more than 2,000 species. The Permai complex is a residential complex located in the town of Bandung. Family inventory Apocynaceae is carried out in the area of the Permai complex plant, considering the plants of this family have various benefits. The method used is the exploration and line transect method. This is done by comparing the morphology of plants with references on the Internet. From Results 3 individuals of Allamanda cathartica L and 8 individuals of the species Catharanthus were found.
