Abstract

To achieve educational goals, an ideal teaching and learning process is needed and an appropriate method is needed to achieve educational goals. This illustrates that method is an important factor in carrying out a teaching and learning process activity. In this way, the author questions what is the concept of the exemplary method according to Islamic Education? What is the interpretation by the interpreters of the Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Ahzab verse 21. The aim of this research is to find out the concept of theexemplary method which is the right way to use as a method in the Islamic education process. The data found shows that the uswah (exemplary) method is an applicable-practical method, a combination of theoretical and practical, a harmony between words and deeds, in its application it is directly in contact with life behavior. Thus it can be concluded that the uswah (exemplary) method contained in Q.S. Al-Ahzab verse 21 is a method which in its use or implementation uses uswah (example) which can be highlighted by an educator so that students can quickly and easily understand the material being taught.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an dan sunnah merupakan sumber hukum Islam. Kedudukan tertinggi sumber hukum Islam adalah Al-Qur’an. The Qur'an and Sunnah are sources of Islamic law. The highest position of the source of Islamic law is the Qur'an. The position of the Sunnah is one level below the Qur'an in Islamic law and the elements that form Islamic law. The statement in the Qur'an that orders Muslims to obey the Prophet Muhammad SAW shows evidence that the Prophet Muhammad SAW is an example and role model for all of us. The Prophet Muhammad SAW has provided forms and examples in implementing the teachings contained in the Qur'an. The ways in which the Prophet Muhammad SAW implemented the teachings of the Qur'an are formed in various sunnahs and become laws for society, especially Muslims. Therefore, if we do not obey or apply the example of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, it is the same as our attitude of not wanting to accept the Qur'an on the other side. In other words, the Qur'an and Sunnah are two things that are interrelated and cannot be separated in Muslims, especially in Islamic law. In many situations, it turns out that the Prophet's Sunnah meets various local Arab traditions that have existed since pre-Islamic times, for example, among others, the glorification of the Kaaba, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Isma'il (AS), respect for the holy month of Ramadan, Friday, deliberation and tahkim, the celebration of aqiqah to welcome births, circumcisions and rituals at death ceremonies, as well as traditions in business law for buying and selling, civil-family, criminal and government.1 This proves that there is a connection or relationship between the Sunnah and culture.

Abstract

Tiga konsep inilah yang digunakan oleh Imam Junaid Al Baghdadi sebagai jalan thoriqoh dalam ber ma’rifat kepada Allah SWT.Sufism, or Sufism, is a spiritual tradition practiced by Sufis for a long time. Sufism is the inner practice of a Sufi who seeks to purify himself by establishing an inner connection with Allah SWT. In Islamic teachings, Sufism is also called tariqah (tradition). Tariqah is a path used as a means of gaining knowledge (ma'rifat) to reach the Creator, Allah SWT. However, among the various schools of Sufism, the path of tariqah used by Sufis varies from one to another, and some even differ, although essentially, all different paths have the same goal: to draw closer to Allah SWT as the Supreme Creator. This article explains how Imam Junaid al-Baghdadi's Sufi thought relates to three main concepts of Sufism: mistsaq (covenant), fana (fusion), and tauhid (unification). These three concepts were used by Imam Junaid al-Baghdadi as the path of tariqah in gaining knowledge (ma'rifat) of Allah SWT.
