The scientific miracle of the Qur'an is also manifested through the statement that all living things are composed of water, in accordance with modern biological findings which show that 80% of the cytoplasmic material of cells consists of water. The Qur'an's view of rainwater reflects the miracle of balanced natural cycles, the amount of rain that falls on the earth is constant, around 16 tonnes of water is estimated to evaporate every second. This is interpreted as a sign of the water cycle regulated by Allah. From a scientific perspective, water has a crucial role in cell formation and biological processes, being the main prerequisite for the function of human organs. Both from a religious and scientific perspective, it is proven that the urgency of water is in maintaining the sustainability of life and the function of the human body. In line with biological principles, the Qur'anic view provides inter

Abstract

Character building, particularly discipline, has become a primary focus in Indonesia's national education system, reinforced by Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017 on the Strengthening of Character Education (PPK). This has become increasingly urgent given the rising cases of juvenile delinquency such as brawls, bullying, drug abuse, and other undisciplined behaviors, with KPAI data showing a 1.1% increase in brawls in 2018, and 24-28% of drug abusers being students according to the BNN in 2019. In this context, the learning of Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Creed and Ethics) in madrasahs, as implemented in MTs. Darussalam Kota Bogor, plays a strategic role in shaping the character and discipline of students, although its implementation still faces various challenges that require synergy between schools, families, and the community to optimize the formation of disciplined student character in accordance with Islamic values and national education demands. Descriptive statistical analysis shows that the level of strengthening disciplinary character education in Aqidah Akhlak learning tends to be in the moderate category with an average value of 66.51 and relatively evenly distributed data. However, previous research indicates that the strengthening of disciplinary character education can reach a high category when supported by factors such as teacher competence, learning facilities, and parental involvement. Meanwhile, descriptive statistical analysis of student discipline shows a tendency towards high and relatively homogeneous levels of discipline. Furthermore, the results of Pearson correlation analysis reveal a significant positive relationship between the strengthening of character education and student discipline, although some previous studies have found different results, indicating that external factors such as family environment and social interactions also play an important role in shaping student discipline. At MTs. Darussalam Kota Bogor, there are several special programs designed to strengthen character education, including: 1. Friday Blessing Program, 2. Dhuha Program, 3. Dzikir Asmaul Husna and Shalawat Nariyah, 4. Extracurricular Activities. The learning of Aqidah Akhlak at MTs. Darussalam Kota Bogor has a very significant implication in shaping the younger generation to be people of integrity, ethics, and responsibility. Although this approach has shown positive results in the formation of student character and discipline, there are still several challenges that need to be addressed, such as the tendency towards cognitive-based learning, formal routines without deep meaning, and the influence of external factors such as social media and social environments. To achieve optimal and sustainable results in the formation of student character and discipline, a synergistic effort between schools, families, and the community is required to support this process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of religious maturity on the tolerance attitudes of the Muslim community in Depok City. Employing a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, quantitative data were collected through a survey of 384 respondents, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs). Statistical analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between religious maturity and tolerance attitudes (r = 0.573, p < 0.001). Simple linear regression showed that 32.9% of the variance in tolerance attitudes was explained by religious maturity (R² = 0.329), while multiple regression analysis identified the intellectual, consequential, and experiential dimensions as significant predictors. Moderation analysis indicated that education level, age, and religious affiliation strengthened the relationship, whereas gender had no significant effect. Qualitative findings identified four patterns of the relationship between religious maturity and tolerance, as well as various influencing factors, including education, socio-cultural context, media, and family. This study underscores the importance of fostering a comprehensive and transformative religious maturity to cultivate tolerant attitudes in a multicultural society. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for developing inclusive policies based on universal religious values.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of religious values in Arabic grammar among students at MA Sa'id Yusuf Depok, focusing on how students learn and apply religious values in the practice of wudhu (ablution). The research adopts a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as participatory observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results indicate that MA Sa'id Yusuf has successfully created a learning environment that integrates religious values with Arabic grammar, ensuring that students not only learn grammar but also understand its spiritual significance. The implementation of religious values is reflected in the students' awareness of heart purity, as they are taught to maintain sincere intentions, cultivate positive social attitudes, and avoid arrogance, self-admiration, and other negative traits. The findings of this research can contribute to the development of Arabic language materials, offering valuable guidance for Islamic educators to strengthen the integration of religious values in language learning. The practical implication of this research is that involving students in religious activities from an early age helps shape their character and provides a strong foundation for their religious and social lives throughout their lifetime, promoting not only academic success but also the development of moral and spiritual values.
