Abstract

Kata kunci: 3D printing, fabrikasi digital, hunian terjangkau  AbstractThe development of technology and construction methods in the field of architecture is still growing today. Always innovating by using technology is a challenge for a designer. 3D printing digital fabrication technology has been used by several countries in the world to produce housing in a short time at an efficient cost. The fulfillment of the housing needs of the community has been a priority. The existence of digital fabrication methods can be used as an alternative solution in order to face the problems. Therefore, the study of fabrication technology is urgent at this time to explore the various potentials when applied in Indonesia, especially in the scope of the provision of decent and affordable housing on the basis of digital fabrication technology. The results of various literature reviews show that the 3D printing technology in housing production in Indonesia still has a number of obstacles, including the capacity of human resources, the availability of materials and tools, and the limited research on the real application of 3D printing technology in Indonesia and the world. Keywords: 3D printing, digital fabrication, housing affordability

Abstract

Kata kunci: bojongsoang, high tech, sentra pemuda, sustainable design  ABSTRACT This study discusses the design of the Bojongsoang Youth Center in Bandung Regency, which aims to accommodate the activities of the productive young generation and become a contemporary, effective, and environmentally friendly place of expression with an iconic appearance. The productive age population in Bandung Regency is increasing and the urgent need for a place to develop potential and relationships for the young community, especially in the fields of art, sports, and social is urgently needed. The existence of the Youth Center building is expected to be able to facilitate these needs well. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method, integrating the concept of High Tech Architecture—which emphasizes futuristic structures and aesthetics—with the principles of Sustainable Design, which focus on energy efficiency, the use of recycled materials such as containers, and renewable resources. The resulting novelty is the integration of these two concepts in the Youth Center typology, creating construction efficiency, cost savings, minimal waste, and an inspiring space. As a result, the Youth Center building is an example of contemporary, effective, environmentally friendly, and iconic design, contributing to environmental conservation. Keywords: bojongsoang, high tech, sustainable design, youth center

Abstract

Sentra Tahu Cibuntu, a tofu supplier industry in Bandung Raya, is categorized as an informal settlement because it formed spontaneously due to national road infrastructure development in Bandung City. The designation of an ordinary settlement as a center positively impacts the city's economic growth. On the other hand, the high demand for housing for tofu makers became a new problem that resulted in an increasingly unplanned settlement growth pattern. Spatial patterns in informal settlements need to be identified as a benchmark for estimating the direction of settlement development in the future. Both designers and policymakers can determine the design strategy of the area to improve the quality of informal settlements. This research uses the space syntax approach to analyze integration on the Sentra Tahu Cibuntu axial map. Primary data was obtained through field observations combined with mapping from satellite imagery. The mapping data is processed using DepthMapX software to produce an axial map that shows the integration value, which describes the real setting. The results of the syntactic analysis are combined with the results of field observations to obtain an overview of building functions, activities, and environmental characteristics. The lower integration value is interpreted as low accessibility to residential areas, so residents have high vulnerability to security and safety, limited infrastructure, limited social activities, and low quality of occupant health. Designers can use the results of these findings as a consideration in designing inclusive and sustainable residential areas through innovative designs.
