Abstract

One important factor that can influence students' learning success is their learning motivation. This research aims to develop the Snakes and Ladders QuizWhizzer Game learning and test the feasibility and influence of using this media on students' learning motivation in the classroom. This research was carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sleman in November 2023. The method used was research and development (R&D) with the Four D (4D) development model taken from four development stages, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The research sample was class VIII students, totaling 5 students. The results of the feasibility test by experts show that the media is suitable for use as a support for learning in the classroom because it can increase students' learning motivation as indicated by the results of the snakes and ladders game and direct interviews. Abstract

Learning media is a tool that can assist teachers in conveying information to students so that the material can be conveyed thoroughly. Physics, which is seen as a difficult subject, requires alternative attractive media such as magazines in order to increase interest in reading and learning. The purpose of this research is to determine the feasibility of E-physics Magazine as an alternative physics learning media. The R&D research method is used with the 4D model which is carried out until the development stage. Feasibility test with 3 indicators was conducted by 1 lecturer and 6 active Physics Education students. The results of the feasibility test obtained are the material indicator getting an average result of 3.43, the media presentation indicator getting an average result of 3.08, and the language indicator getting an average of 3.46. So, it can be stated that E-physics Magazine is feasible to use as an alternative physics learning media.   Keywords: E-physics Magazine, Ohm's Law, reading interest, learning interest

Abstract

AbstractStudent motivation can be influenced by the use of learning media in the learning process. This study aims to determine the feasibility of developing TINKA (Physics Bulletin) on solid matter pressure as a learning companion media to increase student motivation. This study uses the RD (Research and Development) research method with the type of 4D research (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). However, in this study it was only carried out up to the Develop stage because the research objective was limited to the feasibility test. The feasibility test was carried out by two validators, expert lecturer and physics teacher who assessed the feasibility of content, presentation, and language so that the overall mean score for TINKA feasibility was 3.88 which was included in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the development of TINKA (Physics Bulletin) on solid matter pressure is appropriate as a learning companion media to increase student learning motivation.Keywords: bulletin, solid matter pressure, learning media, learning motivationAbstrakMotivasi belajar siswa dapat dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam proses belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari pengembangan TINKA (Buletin Fisika) pada materi tekanan zat padat sebagai media pendamping pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian RD (Research and Development) dengan jenis penelitian 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Namun dalam penelitian ini hanya dilaksanakn hingga tahap Develop dikarenakan tujuan penelitian sebatas uji kelayakan. Uji kelayakan dilakukan oleh dua validator yaitu dosen ahli dan guru fisika yang menilai mengenai kelayakan isi, penyajian, dan bahasa sehingga didapatkan skor rerata keseluruhan untuk kelayakan TINKA sebesar 3.88 termasuk kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pengenbangan TINKA (Buletin Fisika) pada materi tekanan zat padat layak sebagai media pendamping pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.Kata-kata kunci: buletin, tekanan zat padat, media pembelajaran, motivasi belajar
