Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to compare the running speed of blind athletic athletes at NPCI Bandung City by disclosing the difference in running speed performance of blind athletic athletes in Bandung City when using a running method assisted by a guide runner and when using technological innovations created by students and a lecturer at the Indonesian University of Education, namely Blind Run. This technological innovation received an award from KEMENPORA of the Republic of Indonesia in 2022 and has been implemented for blind athletic athletes at the Bandung City NPCI. The sampling technique used by the researcher is purposive sampling, namely, athletes who are blind and have adapted to using the Blind Run product. A quantitative research method with the Mann-Whitney test is applied to answer the research hypothesis. The researchers' findings showed that athletes who ran using different methods had insignificant differences in speed. This is evidenced by the comparative test results, namely the sig. (2-tailed) of 0,121 or > 0,05 so that hypothesis can be terminated.

Abstract

This research explores the agility of Phase C students participating in Futsal extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 053 Cisitu, Bandung City. This research is descriptive quantitative research with a survey method. The sampling technique researchers use is purposive sampling, namely, Phase C students who participated in Futsal extracurricular activities with 23 boys. The data collection technique in this research used an agility measurement instrument for Phase C students from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Data were analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The results of data analysis show that the number of agility levels of Phase C students who took part in Futsal extracurricular activities in the poor category was two students (8.7%), in the moderate category was four students (17.4%), in the good category was 12 students (21.7%), and in the excellent category. as many as five students (52.2%). The conclusion of this research shows that the level of agility of Phase C students who participate in Futsal Extracurricular activities is in the "Good" category.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop an innovative device as a replacement for a guide runner for visually impaired runners. The method used was Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE model. The samples of this research were selected through purposive sampling. The sample consisted of visually impaired athletes participating in national sprinting events. The population of this research consisted of three individuals. Data collection techniques involved interviews with athletes and coaches and speed measurements before and after using the microcomputer-based device. The results of the implementation of this activity showed that, by using the microcomputer-based device, athletes could adapt more quickly compared to adapt with a guide runner. The running speed of athletes using the microcomputer-based device indicates faster times compared to running with a guide runner. As a result, the microcomputer-based device can assist visually impaired athletes in running independently without a guide runner.
