Abstract

Bullying of students is a problem that is widespread in Jakarta. This bullying is caused by several factors such as parenting patterns, school, self-esteem and group norms. The aim of this research is to socialize to stop and prevent bullying at Sejahtera Vocational School. The research method uses quantitative descriptive to describe the conditions that occurred during the research. The focus of the research was Sejahtera Pare Vocational School, Kerdiri Regency, East Java with 40 students as respondents. Sampling was carried out through random sampling and data collection using a questionnaire as a tool. Quantitative Research Methods are used to research certain populations or samples. The data analysis technique uses frequency distribution. Research results Based on the analysis of the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the bullying that occurred at Sejahtera Pare Vocational School, Kadiri Regency, East Java, when viewed as a whole, is in the moderate category. This means that bullying at Sejahtera Pare Vocational School, Kediri Regency, East Java needs to be watched out for so that it can be minimized as much as possible.

Abstract

This research examines the analysis of the implementation of the scientific learning approach in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at PKPPS Minhajurroosyidiin Jakarta with the aim of enhancing students' critical thinking. The study utilizes a qualitative method, focusing on a series of stages in scientific learning, including planning, design, observation activities, questioning, experiments, data analysis, presentation of results, and learning evaluation. The research findings indicate that this approach successfully increases student engagement, enriches the learning process, and develops critical and creative thinking skills in understanding the teachings of PAI. The effectiveness of the scientific learning approach is evident in several key aspects, such as placing students as active subjects in the learning process, fostering the development of critical thinking skills, increasing student engagement, achieving in-depth learning outcomes, and receiving positive responses from both students and teachers. Factors influencing the implementation of this approach include teacher readiness, the availability of learning resources, school leadership support, student participation, curriculum and evaluation alignment, school culture, as well as understanding and implementation of Islamic values. The synergy among these factors is crucial for the successful implementation of the scientific approach and the enhancement of students' critical thinking in the context of the PAI subject. This research contributes to understanding the practical application of the scientific learning approach in the PAI subject and its impact on improving students' critical thinking. The holistic implementation of this approach requires teacher readiness, school support, student involvement, and a deep understanding of Islamic values. The research results are expected to serve as a foundation for developing more effective learning strategies oriented towards the development of critical thinking skills in students within the context of Islamic education.

Abstract

Majlis Taklim sebagai media pendidikan dan media penguatan terhadap karakter masyarakat secara historis telah hadir sejak zaman nabi yang digunakan untuk membimbing, membina dan mengkader umat. Sampai saat ini majelis taklim menjadi wadah efektif pendidikan dan penguatan karakter masyarakat. Tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah memberikan penyuluhan edukatif kepada masyarakat tentang peran dan fungsi majelis taklim sebagai wadah pendidikan dan penguatan karakter masyaraka. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Ciwaru, Kecamatan Ciemas, Sukabumi, dengan metode berbasis penyuluhan, diskusi, sesi tanya jawab, analisis respons peserta, dan dokumentasi aktivitas. Sasaran dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat setempat, termasuk tokoh agama, pengurus Majelis Taklim, guru, dan orang tua. Dengan melibatkan kategorisasi data berdasarkan tema-tema utama, seperti toleransi, pengembangan ekonomi, dan penguatan silaturahmi. Dengan kegiatan ini peran dan fungsi majelis taklim meningkat di masyarakat sekaligus memberikan wawasan yang mendalam tentang dinamika sosial dan keagamaan masyarakat Desa Ciwaru, yang menjadi dasar untuk merancang rekomendasi peningkatan peran Majelis Taklim.

Abstract

Background: The rapid advancement of knowledge and technology in the 21st century necessitates a shift in educational methods, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Observations reveal a concerning gap in critical thinking skills among students at PKPPS Minhajurrosyidin Jakarta. Purpose: This study seeks to explore how a scientific approach can address this deficiency effectively. This study focuses on the application of the scientific approach in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at PKPPS Minhajurrosyidin Jakarta, aiming to enhance students' critical thinking skills. The background highlights the low critical thinking skills among students, supported by pre-survey data. Method: The research method employed is a qualitative approach, including document studies, interviews, observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). Result: The findings indicate that the scientific approach effectively improves student engagement, understanding, and motivation. The average student score increased from 70 to 85, and 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration developed well. Conclusion: The study concludes that the scientific approach not only enhances academic understanding but also non-academic skills, such as communication and collaboration. Suggestions for future research include applying the scientific approach in other educational contexts to test the generalization of these findings and developing more innovative learning strategies to improve the effectiveness of Islamic religious education in various educational settings
