Abstract

Big data is a new and important technological development that allows storage and integration of very large volumes of data from various sources. Regardless of location, you can use secure, easy and timely data thanks to this technology. The Covid-19 pandemic has made the use of distance learning very important. To collect information and data in this study, which used a qualitative methodology with a literature review approach, information and data were collected from various sources in the library, including books, scientific papers, magazines, historical records, and others. The purpose of this research is to understand how big data is used in online education in general and in Indonesia. The findings of this study, based on literature and media sources, indicate that the use of big data in education has not gained wide acceptance. Therefore, policy makers have the opportunity to provide guidance to educational institutions in implementing big data for distance learning. However, there are also obstacles in implementing big data for distance learning, such as differences in data rates in various regions in Indonesia, which require efforts to accelerate the implementation of big data in each region.

The learning process experiences many innovations along with very fast digital developments and technological advances. At the beginning of the industrial revolution 4.0 there were many new innovations, especially in the education sector, one of which was the Ruangguru application. The progress of the country depends on good education. This research uses a qualitative approach and library research as methods, with researchers as the main tool. The data collection method is qualitative, and data analysis is inductive. Problems are discovered and explained through research. At first, the researcher only understood the problem in general, after that, the researcher concluded more specifically. By using the literature review method, the researcher diligently examined the required documents. The existence of "Ruangguru" changes the teacher's work to be more productive and positive.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial technology, financial self-efficacy, and a hedonistic lifestyle on personal financial management among Generation Z in Medan City. Generation Z, as digital natives, are highly exposed to technological conveniences that often encourage impulsive consumption and hedonistic tendencies. The rapid growth of financial technology (fintech) has transformed the way individuals manage their finances, creating both opportunities for efficiency and risks of excessive spending. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 respondents representing Generation Z through questionnaires distributed online. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques with SPSS. The results show that financial technology, financial self-efficacy, and a hedonistic lifestyle each have a positive and significant effect on personal financial management, both partially and simultaneously. Among these, financial technology has the strongest influence, followed by financial self-efficacy and hedonistic lifestyle. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.761 indicates that 76.1% of the variation in personal financial management can be explained by the three independent variables. These findings highlight that while technological advances enhance financial accessibility, strong self-efficacy and awareness are essential to maintain responsible financial behavior amid hedonistic lifestyle pressures.
