Abstract

DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten are the provinces that were the epicenter of covid 19. Every individual at that time had the potential to be exposed. However, the Badui community that also lived in the epicenter field was not much exposed. The purpose of this study was to determine the construction of social reality in the Badui society against zero percent COVID-19 transmission. The research approach is qualitative with a constructivist paradigm. The research method is descriptive with purposive data collection. The results showed that stakeholders perform effective management of externalization-internalization communication, namely instructions from the central government can be implemented with maximum coordination. The chieftain carried out communication management to legitimize socialization, namely emphasizing that COVID-19 must be overcome by treating the ancestral heritage and following the interacting instructions issued by the government. Communication management institutionalization of objectification is performed, namely, the community must obey the rules and traditional culture and believe in the Almighty. The leaders of the outer Badui conduct socialization of Communication Management, which provides input and warnings to the local community to maintain the health of their respective families.

Abstract

The implementation of political communication strategies requires the need for the right approach so that political messages can be effectively accepted by the public, especially in areas with complex social, cultural, and political dynamics. This research aims to analyze the political communication strategies carried out by Muhammad Sinen in building an image, shaping public opinion, and strengthening political support in the City of Tidore Islands. The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review involving informants from various circles, including community leaders, success teams, and the general public. The results of the study show that the communication strategies used, such as face-to-face communication, the use of social media, social activities, and communication based on local wisdom, have proven to be effective in expanding the reach of political messages and strengthening closeness with the community. The obstacles faced include limited communication infrastructure, resistance from some groups, and local political dynamics that often change. The integration of local cultural values such as family, mutual cooperation, and respect for traditional leaders strengthens communication strategies so that they are more persuasive, inclusive, and able to build public trust. The findings of this study prove that the combination of modern communication media and local cultural values can increase the effectiveness of political communication strategies and strengthen the community's support base.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of business administration in implementing organizational communication within the Warung Tegal (Warteg) franchise network in the Jabodetabek area. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, focusing on analyzing the realities faced by the Warteg franchise network regarding business administration and organizational communication. The findings reveal that although the Jabodetabek Warteg franchise has adopted the franchise model, its impact on elevating the status of traditional Warteg establishments remains insignificant. Several positive factors were identified, including (1) profitability due to the provision of staple foods, (2) an automated operational system that does not require startup or specific marketing strategies, (3) a well-established brand, (4) a clear operational system, (5) a modern 3S (Neat, Clean, Compact) building concept, and (6) an effective application of the GFC (Good, Fast, Cheap)principle. However, there are still some limitations, such as (1) a lack of strong positioning, both functionally (addressing hunger) and emotionally (appealing to a specific consumer segment), (2) the product’s brand character has not achieved top-of-mind awareness among consumers, (3) a lack of differentiation in terms of taste or customer experience, (4) suboptimal location strategy due to limited parking space, and (5) challenges in meeting online order demands. Additionally, the study uncovers opportunities for further development, such as flexible partnership packages that offer a quick return on investment, well-established managerial SOPs, franchisers assisting with location selection, and a cooperative leadership role. A key finding is that, among seven Warteg franchises, the “New Bahari†(WNB) network has successfully implemented digital technology through an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system with real-time control applications, YouTap POS and YouTap BOS.
