Abstract

Abstrak: Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara berkembang memiliki masalah serius terhadap berbagai penyakit menular termasuk kelompok penyakit tropis. Penyakit tropis seperti infeksi cacing, DBD, diare dan infeksi saluran pernapasan atas (ISPA) merupakan penyakit infeksi yang paling rentan pada anak – anak. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan kepada anak sekolah dasar tentang pencegahan penyakit tropis melalui perlaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS). Strategi yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan tanya awab. Secara garis besar kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunujukkan bahwa skor rata – rata pengetahuan responden sebelum penyuluhan masih kurang (48,75) dan setelah penyuluhan meningkat (65,83).Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan anak usia sekolah dasar tentang infeksi penyakit tropis dan pencegahannya.   Abstract: Indonesia, as a developing country, has serious problems with various infectious diseases, including groups of tropical diseases. Tropical diseases such as worm infections, dengue fever, diarrhea and upper respiratory tract infections (ARI) are the infectious diseases that children are most susceptible to. This service aims to provide knowledge to elementary school children about preventing tropical diseases through clean and healthy living practices (PHBS). The strategy used in this service activity is counseling using lecture, discussion and question-and-answer methods. In general, this service activity is carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that the average score of respondents' knowledge before counseling was still lacking (48.75) and after counseling increased (65.83). Thus, it can be concluded that counseling has an influence on elementary school age children's knowledge about tropical disease infections and their prevention.

Abstract

Children's expressive language abilities can be said to be still low because some children are not able to communicate fluently, the problem is that there are some children who are still less interested in the learning process, they prefer to play and have difficulty understanding the lessons taught by their teachers, get bored easily, and there are also children who are still afraid to interact. so teachers experience difficulties in the teaching and learning process. In Nayiatul Ulum Kindergarten, the learning process only involves question and answer activities and LKA (children's worksheet).  learning is only centered on the teacher. So the method of telling stories through picture media is one way to improve children's expressive language abilities. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the storytelling method using picture media on children's expressive language abilities at Nasyiatul Ulum Bajur Waru Pamekasan Kindergarten. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data used in this research was observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. The results of this research show that the effectiveness of the storytelling method using picture media on children's expressive language abilities at Nasyiatul Ulum Kindergarten is good for children's expressive language. This can be seen from how the teacher applies the storytelling method using picture media on children's expressive ability to walk smoothly. , and children are also able to retell what the teacher has said.
