Abstract

Introduction: Low birth weight (LBW) is classified by World Health Organization (WHO) as a weight at delivery of under 2500 g. LBW has now become a substantial public health concern worldwide, and it is connected to a variety of short and long term outcomes. The goal of this study is to identify maternal variables that impact the occurrence of low birth-weight infants. Material and Methods: The research used a cross-sectional study design with descriptive analysis, aiming to explain the characteristics and maternal risk factors that influence low birth weight over a period of 1 year at Soedomo Trenggalek Regional Hospital. Research subjects were women that delivered due to infants weight fewer than 2500 grams at Soedomo Trenggalek Regional Hospital from July 2022 to June 2023. Results: A sample of 105 patients was obtained. The mean age of the mothers were 29, pregnancies at age <20 years (n=6), age >35 years (n=19), gestational ages were at term (n=64), vaginal delivery (n=80), anemia (n=32), preeclampsia (n=16), Oligohydramnios (n=18), premature rupture of membranes (n=30), miscarriage or stillbirth (n=22). Conclusion:: Clinicians are expected to detect early risk factors or comorbid conditions in the mother and carry out appropriate and immediate management to prevent babies from being born with small birth weight.

Abstract

PHBS is a set of behaviors that are practiced based on awareness as an effort to be healthy and actively help the health of the surrounding environment. Clean and Healthy Behavior at an early age is important to maintain personal and environmental health. Early childhood is also susceptible to infectious diseases such as flu and diarrhea if they do not maintain personal and surrounding hygiene. Diarrheal disease is often considered a trivial matter but if it is not addressed it can result in quite serious matters. Therefore, we conducted community services which aims to provide students’ knowledge and understanding about Clean and Healthy Behavior and diarrheal diseases which often attack children at Muhammadiyah 1 Malang Elementary School students. The implementation method is carried out by counseling using power point media and videos. In the initial activity, a question-and-answer session was carried out, then giving educational material, showing educational videos, then evaluating it with a posttest.

Abstract

Introduction: SARS CoV-2 (COVID-19) is a respiratory infectious disease whose cause has been identified as the seventh type of the coronavirus family that attacks humans. Common symptoms among patients with COVID-19 include fever, dry cough, shortness of breath (dyspnea), muscle aches (myalgia), confusion, headache, sore throat, rhinorrhea, chest pain, diarrhea, nausea / vomiting, conjunctival congestion, nose. congestion, sputum production, fatigue (malaise), hemoptysis, and shivering. However, the spread of COVID-19 infection has shown new symptoms of the disease: patients with dysfunction of smell, taste and indigestion. Methods: Literature review by taking libraries from 34 journals and 2 textbook. The journal obtained from the Google, NCBI and Pubmed search engine, as well as processing research materials into new information related to the research objectives. Results: One hypothesis currently developing is that SARS-CoV-2 will cause olfactory changes through direct access and damage to the CNS through its penetration by the cribriform plate. Another hypothesis that is also developing suggests direct viral damage to olfactory cells and taste receptors. Glial cells, neurons, and the oral cavity present the ACE-2 receptor which appears to be a mechanism of cell invasion by viruses. Conclusion: People who have lost their smell or taste are six times more likely to become positive for COVID-19. Likewise, people who have anosmia have a 10-fold higher chance of being diagnosed with COVID-19. Taste and smell disorders with ageusia have a 10 times higher chance of catching COVID-19.

Abstract

Introduction: Urolithiasis primarily affects the kidneys, ureters, or bladder, but urethral stones are rare, making up less than 1% of all urinary tract stones. Their prevalence is 0.3% to 2%, with a higher incidence in men due to the longer male urethra. Symptoms range from asymptomatic to severe pain, dysuria, and urinary retention, often complicated by fever or renal failure. Urethral diverticulum, a rare malformation, can cause recurrent infections and stone formation. Diagnosis involves imaging, urethrography, and cystourethroscopy, while treatment depends on stone size and location. Delayed diagnosis can lead to significant morbidity. Case Presentation: A 68-year-old male presented to the clinic with a painful lump in the left scrotum, which had progressively enlarged and hardened. He reported experiencing painful, incomplete urination along with right-sided back pain. The patient had a history of similar lumps that had been surgically removed. Upon examination, a tender, hard mass measuring 4x3 cm was found in the left scrotum. Urethrography revealed a solitary opaque stone in the posterior urethra, while post-contrast imaging confirmed diverticulolithiasis in the bulbo-cavernous urethra, leading to stenosis and partial obstruction, confirming urethral obstruction due to stones. Laboratory tests returned normal results. Conclusion: Urethral stones are rare, constituting less than 1% of urinary tract stones, mainly affecting men. Symptoms range from asymptomatic to severe pain, with potential complications like fever and kidney failure. Diagnosis involves imaging, and timely management is crucial to prevent morbidity.

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Kesehatan Mental, Korban Kekerasan, Trauma, Psikososial  ABSTRACT Physical, psychological, and sexual violence are still of particular concern in Indonesia. Cases of violence can occur at all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. These cases of violence can traumatize and even depress victims, which can have an impact on the continuation of the victim's life. Based on this description, it is necessary to provide mental health assistance for child victims of violence. The methods used are survivor screening using the Strengths Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) filled out by the victim's parents, providing assistance materials, and evaluation.  The service team conducted a dialog with victims of violence so that victims could open up. The results of this service show that the majority of children have difficulties in the components of emotional symptoms, behavior, and hyperactivity. However, most children still show the ability to behave prosocially, which may indicate a protective factor or adaptability in dealing with trauma. This service emphasizes the importance of appropriate and immediate intervention for children who are survivors of violence to overcome the psychological and behavioral disorders they may experience. At the evaluation stage after the provision of mentoring materials, it was seen that children who were victims of violence had enthusiasm and motivation that could support them to be able to return to normal life in their environment. Keywords: Mental Health, Victims Of Violence, Trauma, Psychosocial
