Abstract

Background: Stunting is a current issue that is of global concern, especially in Indonesia to face a window opportunity in 2030. A number of stunting prevention and management methods have been attempted to encourage knowledge and fulfillment of nutrition in preventing chronic malnutrition that causes stunting, including stunting prevention education for caten , nutrition education in fulfilling energy in pregnant women. Pregnant women are a vulnerable group with nutritional problems, this is related to the process of fetal growth and physiological changes in various organs of the body to support the pregnancy process Objective: This study generally aims to determine the effect of health education on knowledge about stunting in pregnant women in Bangunharjo Village, Kapanewon Sewon, Bantul Regency. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental research method (quasi-experimental) with a "one group pretest-posttest design". This research activity provides treatment in the form of health education regarding stunting to find out a symptom of influence that arises after being given treatment. The subjects of this study were 51 pregnant women in Bangunharjo Village, Kapanewon Sewon, Bantul Regency. Results: The results of the research from the paired t-test showed a t-test value of 7.023 with a p-value of 0.000, which means that there is a significant difference between pregnant women's knowledge about stunting before and after counseling. The data collection tool uses a g-form questionnaire with a Guttman and Likert scale and hemoglobin level values use easy touch GCHb. Meanwhile, the statistical test technique uses the Chi-Square test.Research Results: The hemoglobin levels of respondents who experienced anemia were 37.1%. The research results showed that the relationship between sufficient knowledge about anemia was 85.2% and the relationship between adequate attitudes about anemia was 62.9%. Abstract

The maternal mortality ratio, estimated at around 228 per 100,000 live births, has remained high at over 200 for the past decade, despite efforts to improve maternal health services and every hour one woman dies in childbirth or from pregnancy-related causes. Factors that cause maternal mortality can be broadly grouped into direct and indirect causes. The family has an instrumental support function, namely the husband's support given to meet the mother's physical needs with the help of the family, informational support in this case the husband has an instrumental support function, namely the husband's support given to meet the mother's physical needs with the help of the family, informational support, namely the husband's support in providing information he has obtained about pregnancy, assessment support, namely making the right decisions for his wife's pregnancy care, emotional support, namely the husband fully provides psychological support to his wife by showing concern and attention to her pregnancy and being sensitive to the needs and changes in the emotions of the pregnant woman. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of husband's support on the health of pregnant women. This research method was designed with a cross-sectional approach with an observation form with a sample of 65 respondents. The results of the study showed that as many as 50 (76.9%) husbands supported pregnant women well, and there were 34 (52.3%) pregnant women who had good health status. P-Value of 0.004 <0.005, which means there is a significant relationship between husband's support and the health status of pregnant women.

Abstract

Maternal health serves as a key indicator in assessing the quality of healthcare services and the success of a country's health development efforts. It encompasses not only the safety of mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, but also reflects the accessibility, effectiveness, and coordination within the healthcare system involving multiple stakeholders. Despite various intervention efforts, maternal mortality remains a significant challenge in Indonesia. According to the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI), the maternal mortality ratio (MMR) in Indonesia stands at 189 per 100,000 live births, which is still above the national target set in the 2020–2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), namely 183 per 100,000 live births. A thorough identification of maternal health stakeholders is essential not only to understand the extent of national support for maternal health issues, but also to design effective stakeholder collaboration to accelerate the achievement of maternal health targets. This case study in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), identifies at least seven potential stakeholders for collaboration: the District Health Office, hospitals, community health centers (Puskesmas), the Office of Population and Family Planning, village governments, social organizations, higher education institutions, and the business sector. Each of these stakeholders has a distinct and valuable role to play.

Abstract

Bleeding during childbirth and the postpartum period is partly caused by anemia during pregnancy. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 40% of maternal mortality rates in developing countries are related to anemia during pregnancy. One of the causes of anemia in pregnant women is non-compliance with ron supplement consumption. Compliance with iron tablet consumption by pregnant women can ensure an increase in hemoglobin levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compliance with iron supplement consumption on the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Piyungan Community Health Center. The research method used was a quantitative experimental design. The design used in this study is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population consists of all pregnant women who underwent examinations at the Piyungan Health Center, totaling 668 pregnant women. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the study indicate that there is an association between compliance with iron supplement consumption and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women, as evidenced by the asymptotic significance value of p = 0.000. Health centers are encouraged to continue implementing iron supplementation programs as part of routine antenatal care and ensure that pregnant women regularly consume iron supplements, with a minimum of 90 tablets during pregnancy. Additionally, educational programs should be enhanced to emphasize the importance of iron supplements in improving compliance among pregnant women as a preventive measure against anemia.
