Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of an LPG stove burner by assessing the flame temperature, fuel consumption, burner power, and thermal efficiency. The method employed is an experimental approach using a water boiling technique. The test materials used include 3 kg of LPG gas and water. The equipment utilized includes an SNI-compliant cooking stove, a pot, a digital scale, a rotameter flow meter, a gas regulator and hose, a stopwatch, a UT320D thermometer controller, an NPT stainless steel thermometer, and thermocouple sensor cables. The results show that during the first test with the stove set to the minimum setting, the average flame temperature at the burner reached 559.005 °C, with a maximum value of 589.2 °C. In the second test, with the stove set to the maximum setting, the average flame temperature reached 714.78 °C, with a maximum value of 769.3 °C. Fuel consumption was recorded at 0.391 kg in the first test and 0.545 kg in the second test. The burner power output was 1.754 kW in the first test and 2.225 kW in the second test. The thermal efficiency of the burner was recorded at 50.07% in the first test, increasing to 52.85% in the second test. The measurement and analysis of thermal efficiency and fuel consumption in this study can serve as a crucial guide in designing and developing burners for Stirling engines.

Abstract

This research was initiated by thinking about the RW Police program, which is actually a program needed by the community, but in reality it has not been implemented optimal. This is shown by the high number of crimes and violations that occur in the Bekasi City Metro Police jurisdiction when compared between before the RW Police Program (in 2021 and 2022) and after the implementation of the RW Police Program (in 2023). On the other hand, the concept of the RW Police program, which facilitates one RW with one police officer who lives in the RW, is a good program because with this concept it is hoped that the police in each RW can get to know more and be closer to the community so that they can become partners in creating public security. So, in order to maximize the implementation of the RW Police program, it is necessary to develop the right strategy and equip RW Police officers in the field with good problem-solving skills in order to maximize partnerships with the community and support the creation of security, especially in the Bekasi Metro Police jurisdiction. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a constructivism paradigm where the author wanted to seek an in-depth understanding of the implementation of the RW Police in supporting the security forces in the jurisdiction of the Bekasi Metro Police, find obstacles in the field and find the right strategy to maximize its implementation.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is a major problem of order and security in the Bali Regional Police as a tourist visiting area. Vandalism, student brawls, drug use and pornography are a number of criminal acts that exist. Basically, teenagers in Bali are not aware of the delinquency and crime that exists. Most of them think all this is normal. Therefore, counseling and socialization about delinquency and crime among teenagers and children at the Bali Regional Police is very important. This activity provides real information about legal regulations regarding delinquency and crime among teenagers. An important finding is the need for strong control over the actions of teenagers and children by various parties, especially parents, schools and villages in the areas where they live. Supervision over the use of gadgets from existing social media must be carried out strictly and filtered well because many people engage in persuasion and incitement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource quality, transformational leadership, ethical compliance, and work environment on the effectiveness of cultural reform in the Indonesian National Police (Polri). Organizational culture transformation is a strategic priority to enhance professionalism, integrity, and responsiveness of police officers to public needs. The study employs a literature review method, analyzing 50 scholarly articles, national and international journals, and official Polri reports over the last ten years (2015–2025). The findings indicate that high HR quality, including technical, managerial, and socio-cultural competencies, significantly contributes to cultural reform effectiveness. Transformational leadership plays a critical role in motivating, inspiring, and guiding officers to consistently implement the new organizational culture. Furthermore, ethical compliance serves as a key pillar fostering integrity and transparency, while a supportive work environment facilitates competence development and collaboration among units. The integration of these four variables creates synergy that enhances the success of Polri’s cultural reform. The literature also highlights that visionary leadership and reinforcement of organizational values can reduce resistance to change. The practical implications of this study suggest continuous investment in HR training, strengthening transformational leadership, enforcing professional ethics, and improving the work environment. These findings provide a foundation for policymakers to design more effective, adaptive, and sustainable cultural reform strategies, enabling Polri to improve public service quality and public trust significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of career development, humanistic leadership, professional integrity, and performance management in the modernization of human resources within the Indonesian National Police (Polri). HR modernization is a crucial component of police reform, encompassing competency enhancement, professionalism, and adaptation to technological changes and societal demands. The study uses a literature review method, reviewing 50 scholarly articles, national and international journals, and official Polri reports from the last ten years (2015–2025). Findings indicate that systematic career development increases capacity and motivation, humanistic leadership fosters an inclusive and supportive work culture, professional integrity strengthens ethics and compliance, while performance management ensures objective and continuous evaluation. The integration of these four factors significantly contributes to HR modernization, enhancing public service quality, operational efficiency, and technological adaptation. The literature emphasizes career planning based on competency, application of humanistic leadership in team management, strengthening integrity through codes of conduct and training, and transparent performance management systems. These findings provide a foundation for Polri policymakers to design effective, sustainable, and adaptive HR modernization strategies in response to social and technological dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of crime prevention through community policing to strengthen the maintenance of public security and order. This research method is This study uses a qualitative approach. A qualitative approach is used to see how policies, programs, and activities reflect the strengthening of crime prevention through community policing in maintaining public security and order. The method used in empirical research. Data collection techniques through document studies and through questionnaires that will be distributed via Google Forms. Next, data analysis is carried out with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study found that the jurisdiction of the Riau Regional Police Headquarters has implemented strengthening of crime prevention through community policing by synergizing with various levels of society. All police ranks from the Polsek level to the Polres level have carried out this task. Strengthening crime prevention has been directed at increasing organizational and personnel capacity. The large number of tasks that are not actually the main tasks of functional units still poses an obstacle in the implementation of the implementation of the strengthening results that have been built and worked on. The crime prevention methods used still tend not to fully adapt to the local context and are still strongly oriented towards the methods developed at the Riau Regional Police Headquarters.

Abstract

Reform of the Indonesian National Police since its separation from the Indonesian National Armed Forces in 1999 has become a strategic agenda in the consolidation of democracy. Transformation efforts through various programs, from Bureaucratic Reform to the Precision Police vision, aim to build a professional, transparent, and accountable institution. However, public perception of Polri performance remains fluctuating, evident in the paradox between the public’s need for security and increasing criticism related to corruption, discrimination, and human rights violations. This study aims to analyze Polri reform from the public’s perspective, assess the transition from criticism to collaboration, and identify forms of criticism and patterns of collaboration. The method used is a qualitative constructivist paradigm with a literature study approach and secondary data analysis from CSO reports, public opinion surveys, and the media. The findings indicate that digital service innovation is appreciated by the public, but integrity and accountability remain weaknesses, resulting in criticism continuing to emerge as indicators of legitimacy erosion. In conclusion, internalizing procedural justice, building social legitimacy, and consistent dialogic communication are key to transforming criticism into a strategic partnership between Polri and the public.
