Abstract

Self Management Education using leaflet media at the Cimacan Regional Hospital, Cianjur Regency. Hypertension is a disease called the "silent killer" with complications from stroke, heart and kidney disease. This research aims to determine leaflets in increasing self-efficacy in hypertensive patients. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design involving 86 patients undergoing outpatient treatment at the Cimacan Regional Hospital, Cianjur Regency. The research results showed that the average self-efficacy value of respondents before being given the intervention in the intervention group was 5.8 with a standard deviation of 4.638, while the average value after being given the intervention was 9.89 with a standard deviation of 1.526. Meanwhile, the average value after being given intervention in the control group was 7.00 with a standard deviation of 3.058. The results of further analysis using the Wilcoxon Test obtained a p-value of <0.05. In conclusion, there was an increase in hypertension sufferers after the leaflet.

Abstract

Various health problems that occur in the elderly result from the deterioration of body cells, resulting in decreased function and endurance. One of the physical health problems that often occurs in the elderly is falls. The consequences of falls experienced by the elderly have psychological, sociological and emotional impacts and will result in physical injury, limited movement and death. This exercise program involves the balance center in the brain and increases the balance response so that it can reduce falls. The aim of this report is to provide an overview of the implementation of comprehensive nursing care for elderly people at risk of falling. Health services in the Cianjur area tend to encourage accelerated changes in the care environment in the health environment, one of which is through counseling services by nurses. Or the implementation of counseling by health workers. Community service activities with the topic Strengthening the Prevention of Fall Risk in the Elderly Age Group in Cianjur Regency is an effort to increase nurses' knowledge in supporting the acceleration of family health independence in Cianjur Regency, especially for the elderly. This research uses quantitative, descriptive methods. Sampling with total sampling. The total research sample was 37 elderly people accompanied by their families. Results: most of the elderly (78.5%) or 25 people were in the risk category for falls around the family. Meanwhile, 21.5% of elderly people are not at risk of falling or as many as 12 elderly people are not at risk of falling.

Abstract

Introduction: Etymologically, gadget is a term in English which means a small electronic device that has a special function. In Indonesian, gadgets are referred to as "acang". One of the things that distinguishes gadgets from other electronic devices is the element of "novelty". Purpose: of this study was to determine the impact of gadgets on the development of pre-school age children. Methods: used in this study is a literature study with a narrative method from research results published in 2017-2021. Literature search using a strategy with the keywords gadget and pre-school age development with the Google Scholar data base with the criteria used, namely the title of the article that discusses the relationship of gadgets to the development of pre-school children, availability of full text, samples, year of publication in the last 5 years. Results: From 10 articles, it was found that the influence of gadgets on the development of pre-school children was positive or negative. Conclusion: this study found an imbalance between positive and negative impacts where more negative impacts were obtained from using gadgets because pre-school age children could not use gadgets according to their needs. Therefore, the role of parents is needed in this case because it is to limit their children from using gadgets with the recommended time of 1-2 hours per day.
