Abstract

Abstract: TThis study aimed to explore research trends over the past decade regarding the use of augmented reality (AR) technology in science learning. The study followed the PRISMA guidelines. A total of 154 articles were found at the identification stage and then screened based on inclusion and exclusion criteria so that 50 articles were to be reviewed. The review results show that learning achievement, motivation, and attitudes are the variables most researched in the article. Learning achievement is strongly influenced by motivation and attitude, so it is often considered in research. Mobile applications and AR picture books are often implemented because they are easy to use, fast, and have practical development. The methodological trend is a quantitative design. Data collection tools that are often used are cognitive tests. The frequently used sampling method is convenience sampling, and the sample population often identified is high school students. Researchers often give research recommendations to identify the effect of using AR on students' affective abilities and teacher perceptions. The results of this study will be a reference for researchers interested in implementing AR in education.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to produce a Lake Toba physics e-book that is valid and feasible according to experts, suitable for use by teachers and students in physics learning, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The methodology used in this research is research and development with the ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model. The research results indicate that the product is valid and feasible according to two expert validators in physics content and media, with content validity index and content validity ratio scores of 0.92 and 0.96. The average product score, compared to the ideal average score, falls into the very good category. Limited practicality testing by teachers and students yielded scores of 94.44% and 81.02%, placing the e-book in the very practical category. The effectiveness test of the product showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills by 0.55 and was included in the average category. Therefore, this product has great potential to be used by teachers and students in physics learning

Abstract

Angklung is a traditional musical instrument from West Java that can be used as a learning medium for sound concepts. The study focuses on pentatonic Angklung as a musical instrument commonly used in Ngaseuk ceremonies as rice planting rituals in the Baduy tribe. This study aims to report the integration of pentatonic Angklung into physics experiments and investigate multiple representation skills. Technology-based mobile used as an experimental tool is Phypox. The designed activity aims to identify multiple representation skills using guided-inquiry models in four stages: Open, Explore, Create, and Share. The study participants are 31 8th-grade students at one of the junior high schools in West Java Province, Indonesia. Experiment activities investigate variables that affect the frequency of the pentatonic Angklung. A worksheet guides experiment activities following the syntax of the guided-inquiry model. The study results show that students use different representations at each stage in the worksheet. Students use four representations in this experimental activity: verbal, mathematical, pictorial, and graphical. It can be concluded that integrating pentatonic Angklung into physics experiments can identify students' multiple representation skills in junior high school.
