Abstract

Introduction: Quality of service is a service provided by health personnel to make the client or some of the community will feel satisfied with the service received in accordance with their needs. And client will be satisfied if the service they received are in line with their expectations. Based on demography health survey data in Timor-Leste in 2009/2010 showed that the maternal mortality rate was 557/100.000 live births, and the child mortality rate was 45/1.000 live births. Therefore, to reduce the mother and child mortality rate in this country, it is necessary to improve the quality of service to strengthen the trust between client and health worker to keep client closer to the nearest health family. Objective: Is Analysis the quality of service of midwifery through the satisfaction of the post partum mother on midwifery assistance during the delivery at Hospital  Regional Eduardu Ximenes Baucau. Method: The method use in this research is quantitative method. The sample in this study were all pregnant women who gave birth at certain time with a sample size of 72 people and the techniques used to determine this sample is Quota sampling technique. Results and Discusion: based on the result of the study, the majority of mothers have a good perception and are satisfied with the quality of service provided by midwives. Judging from the result that there is a positive correlation between service quality and patient satisfaction level. Conclusion: From the result of 72 respondents there is a positive relationship to the quality of service with patient satisfaction level. Therefore, the study hopes that it can provide benefits to pregnant women to be able to get closer to the nearest health facility in order to get quality services, and for midwives to always provide quality service to clients to strengthen the relationship between health workers with the community, especially to reduce maternal and infant mortality rate in Timor-Lese

Abstract

Stunting remains a critical public health issue in Timor-Leste, significantly impacting child development and future societal progress. This literature review examines various health promotion strategies aimed at preventing stunting in the country. By analyzing key studies and intervention programs, this review highlights effective approaches, including community-based nutrition education, maternal health improvement, and government-led initiatives. The role of public awareness campaigns and the integration of healthcare services also emerge as essential components in tackling stunting. The findings suggest that a multi-sectoral and culturally sensitive approach is critical for the long-term success of stunting prevention efforts in Timor-Leste. Future recommendations emphasize the need for sustained political commitment and enhanced resource allocation to ensure the sustainability of these health promotion strategies.

Abstract

Pre‑eclampsia is a serious complication that affects the mother's body, childbirth, and postpartum. It is characterized by signs such as hypertension, edema, and proteinuria that occur during the 20 weeks of pregnancy. An underweight baby is a baby who weighs less than 2500 grams. According to data from the Timor‑Leste Demographic Health Survey (TLDHS) in 2016, 215 mothers had pre‑eclampsia and 72 babies died with underweight status. Pre‑eclampsia is one of the complications that kills mothers with a high percentage of 25% and a frequency of 42.According to data from Guido Valadares National Hospital in 2021, 174 mothers had pre‑eclampsia and 58 babies were underweight. To understand the relationship between preeclampsia and underweight baby incidents. This is a descriptive quantitative research with a crosssectional approach. The technique used was Accidental Sampling, with a sample of 64 respondents. The results show that there is a relationship between pre‑eclampsia and underweight baby incidents. 46 mothers (71.9%) had preclampsia and 36 babies (78.3%) were underweight. The relationship between preeclampsia and underweight baby incidents had a p‑value of 0.03. Conclusion: This research shows that there is a relationship between preeclampsia and underweight baby incidents. The information obtained can be used to improve the quality of service provided to mothers with specific focus on pre‑eclampsia and underweight babies.
