Abstract

Introduction: Tuberculosis is a desease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis, this desease transmitted by people who affect tuberculosis positive thtough the air. Mycobacterium tuberculosis invades the body’s respiratory tract and affects others organs through blood circulation. Objective: To know the factors that influence the occurrence of the disease tuberculosis in the  clinic of tubercolosis Klibur Domin Tibar, Liquisa Municipality, Timor-Leste in 2023. Method: The method used by the researcher is analytical quantitative with a Cross Sectinal approach. Sampling technique: The sampling technique that the researcher uses is non probability sampling with a total sampling approach. Instrument: The instrument that the researcher uses in this research is the questionnaire. Data analysis technique: Data analysis technique using spearman rank correlation formula, using spss formula, version 23.0. Result and Discussion: Based on the results of the pearson correlation analysis, the probability value of 0,5 is greater than the value of sig (1-tilled) 0,05> 0,000, this result show  that two variables are ralated. Conclusion: Based on result of te research the researcher concludes that; enviroment factors is retated with occurrence of tuberculosis disease, attitude factors is retated with occurrence of tuberculosis disease, nutritional factors is retated with occurrence of tuberculosis disease

Abstract

The development of preschool children is very important because children will be able to adapt to the environment with physical development and psychosocial development, Sigmud Freud (2019) to know the relationship of the mother's role in the development of preschool children in the holsa, Administrative post Maliana, Bobonaro, Timor-Leste 2022. Research methods: The researcher used the quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The research sampling technique used non-probabilistic and intentional sampling. The instrument used by the researcher was a questionnaire and observation of the DDST. Researcher ensures that the information used is an additional skill for mothers and preschool children aged 4 to 6 years. the research shows that there is a relationship between the role of the mother and child development, using SPSS version 24.0. The analysis of the cross-spearmen ranks test showed that the P value was 0.001 < 0.05, with the spearmen's correlation 0.619, the strength of the correlation index. The role of mothers in kindergarten is almost half that of the moderate mother. The development of preschool children in kindergarten is almost entirely normal and there is a relationship between the role of the mother and the development of preschoolers in early childhood education.

Abstract

Pre‑eclampsia is a serious complication that affects the mother's body, childbirth, and postpartum. It is characterized by signs such as hypertension, edema, and proteinuria that occur during the 20 weeks of pregnancy. An underweight baby is a baby who weighs less than 2500 grams. According to data from the Timor‑Leste Demographic Health Survey (TLDHS) in 2016, 215 mothers had pre‑eclampsia and 72 babies died with underweight status. Pre‑eclampsia is one of the complications that kills mothers with a high percentage of 25% and a frequency of 42.According to data from Guido Valadares National Hospital in 2021, 174 mothers had pre‑eclampsia and 58 babies were underweight. To understand the relationship between preeclampsia and underweight baby incidents. This is a descriptive quantitative research with a crosssectional approach. The technique used was Accidental Sampling, with a sample of 64 respondents. The results show that there is a relationship between pre‑eclampsia and underweight baby incidents. 46 mothers (71.9%) had preclampsia and 36 babies (78.3%) were underweight. The relationship between preeclampsia and underweight baby incidents had a p‑value of 0.03. Conclusion: This research shows that there is a relationship between preeclampsia and underweight baby incidents. The information obtained can be used to improve the quality of service provided to mothers with specific focus on pre‑eclampsia and underweight babies.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of work-life balance and time management on the academic achievement of part-time university students in Yogyakarta, with social support as a moderating variable. The research addresses the growing challenge faced by students managing both academic and professional responsibilities. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey of 155 purposively selected part-time students. Validated instruments measured work-life balance, time management, academic achievement, and social support. Moderated regression analysis (MRA) in SPSS revealed that the final model accounted for 98.4% of the variance in academic achievement (R2 = 0.984). Both work-life balance (? = -0.292, p < 0.001) and time management (? = -0.344, p < 0.001) had significant negative effects. However, social support positively moderated both relationships, reducing their negative impact (interaction effects: ? = 0.926 and ? = 0.880, respectively). The finding emphasizes the importance of institutional support and training to help students manage dual roles effectively.

Abstract

Stunting remains a critical public health problem that affects children’s physical growth, cognitive development, and long-term human capital, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Increasing evidence suggests that stunting is not solely a nutritional issue but a multidimensional condition influenced by family practices and community environments. This study aims to systematically review the role of family and community in preventing stunting among toddlers. A systematic literature review was conducted using ten peer-reviewed articles indexed in the Scopus database. The review followed a structured search, selection, and thematic synthesis process to identify key family- and community-level determinants and interventions associated with stunting prevention. The findings indicate that family-related factors—such as parental education, caregiving practices, household food security, and health-seeking behavior—play a central role in reducing stunting risk. At the community level, supportive health services, nutrition education programs, sanitation infrastructure, and social support networks significantly strengthen family capacity and promote sustainable behavior change. Importantly, the review highlights that integrated family–community approaches are more effective than isolated interventions, as they align household practices with enabling community environments. This study contributes to the literature by reinforcing the importance of multi-level, socially grounded strategies for stunting prevention and provides evidence-based insights for policymakers and practitioners seeking to design holistic and sustainable child nutrition interventions.

Abstract

Maternal and child health remains a major public health concern, where health outcomes are shaped not only by medical and socioeconomic factors but also by sociocultural contexts. This study aims to examine the effect of local wisdom on maternal and child health using a quantitative approach. A total of 150 respondents were surveyed using a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25, including descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that local wisdom has a positive and statistically significant effect on maternal and child health (β = 0.683, p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.386) shows that local wisdom explains 38.6% of the variation in maternal and child health outcomes. These findings suggest that culturally embedded values, beliefs, and community practices play an important role in shaping maternal and child health behaviors. Integrating local wisdom into maternal and child health programs can enhance community acceptance, strengthen preventive care, and improve health outcomes. This study provides empirical evidence supporting the inclusion of cultural dimensions in the formulation of maternal and child health policies.
