Abstract

Blood is an important component for the human body, therefore blood supplies at the Indonesian Red Cross must be maintained. After the Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia, the number of blood supplies at the Indonesian Red Cross decreased. Seeing this condition, lecturers and students from the D3 Midwifery Study Program at the Makassar College of Health Sciences initiated community service activities in the form of blood donations with the aim of attracting public interest and becoming agents of change for the Blood Donation movement to increase the number of blood bag supplies at PMI Makassar City, an effort humanity to help others and a concrete manifestation of community service as one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The activity was carried out on July 20 2022 at Mbuuk Coffee and Resto, Makassar City, while still implementing health protocols and 3M principles. There were 85 participants who registered, and 58 participants met the requirements as donors. The amount of blood collected was 58 bags. Overall, the event ran smoothly and orderly and was expected.

Abstract

Lactation management is needed to support the successful management of breastfeeding. Failure of the breastfeeding process is often caused by some mothers who do not understand the correct way to breastfeed. Based on UNICEF data, only 30% of post partum primiparous mothers provide exclusive breast milk, this shows that babies in Indonesia still receive non-exclusive breast milk. The aim of this service is to increase knowledge about lactation management which consists of how to breastfeed, the benefits of breastfeeding, the correct breastfeeding position. The activity was carried out at the Bara Baraya Community Health Center, Makassar City on December 9 2022. The method used in this service was lecture and question and answer which began with a pre-test then providing information and then a post-test with a total of 7 participants. The results of the activity showed that those who had good knowledge before the counseling were carried out were 3 people (42.85%) and after the counseling it increased to 7 people (100%), this shows that the counseling was effective in lactation management for Primiparous Postpartum Mothers..

Abstract

Pregnancy is a physiological and normal process, not only related to biological aspects but also related to a woman's psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects in life. A woman has a duty to fulfill the role of a mother during her pregnancy. This service activity is carried out with the aim of providing information about pregnancy, various psychological changes during pregnancy and how to make psychological adaptations during pregnancy in achieving the role of mother at the Jumpandang Baru Community Health Center. The number of participants in this service activity was 20 people which was carried out on November 21 2020 at the Tallo District Office using the lecture and question and answer method as well as the sharing method. The results of this activity show changes in behavior in the form of successful adaptation, especially in psychological changes during pregnancy.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommendation that mothers breastfeed for a minimum of 6 months has not been achieved, this is because the psychological condition of mothers after giving birth often experiences disturbances, which will affect breast milk production. This problem can occur due to the transition period to becoming a parent, the anxiety felt during post partum can be one of the factors influencing breast milk production. The aim of this service is to This service activity is carried out with the aim of providing information about psychological adaptation in breastfeeding mothers and how to carry out this psychological adaptation to achieve optimization of the role as a mother at the Jongaya Community Health Center. The number of participants in this service activity was 15 people which was held on July 28 2023 at the Jongaya Community Health Center using the lecture and question and answer method as well as the sharing method. The results of this activity show changes in behavior in the form of successful adaptation, especially in psychological changes during breastfeeding.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Jumlah dan risiko ibu hamil yang terinfeksi Covid-19 semakin meningkat jika infeksi Covid-19 sudah parah yang menyerang ibu hamil dan anaknya, maka perlu dilakukan upaya memvaksinasi ibu hamil dengan vaksin Covid-19. Tujuan: Menilai Profil Ibu Hamil dengan Pemberian Vaksinasi Covid-19 di Puskesmas Kota Makassar tahun 2021 Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan analisis univariat. Hasil: Ibu hamil yang mendapatkan vaksinasi covid-19 yaitu usia tidak berisiko 20-35 tahun 26 orang (86,7%) dan berisiko 4 orang (13,3%), paritas multigravida 19 orang (63,3%) dan primigravida 11 orang (36,7%), umur kehamilan trimester 2 yaitu 18 orang (60%) dan trimester 1 yaitu 3 orang (10%), pendidikan tingkat SMA 18 orang (60%) dan D3/S1 7 orang (23,3%), pekerjaan IRT 18 orang (60%) dan PNS 4 orang (13,3%), munisasi TT sudah lengkap yaitu 18 orang (60%) dan tidak lengkap 12 orang (40%). Kesimpulan: Ibu hamil yang paling banyak mendapatkan vaksinasi covid-19 yaitu usia tidak berisiko 20-35 tahun sebanyak 26 orang (86,7%), SMA/SMK yaitu dengan 18 orang (60%), IRT 18 orang (60%), TT lengkap 18 orang (60%).

Abstract

Latar belakang: Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) merupakan masala yang harus di perhatikan, AKI di Indonesia menempati urutan tertinggi di ASEAN yaitu 307 per 100.000 kelahiran hidup, artinya lebih dari 18.000 ibu tiap tahun atau dua ibu tiap jam meninggal dikarenakan berbagai masalah yang berkaitan dengan kehamilan, persalinan, dan nifas. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui Tingkat pengetahuan ibu nifas tentang status gizi ibu hamil di Puskesmas Soakonora Galela Selatan. Metode: Penellitian ini merupakan penelitian Deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 30 orang ibu, dan sampelnya sebanyak 30 ibu, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 30 responden (100%), terdapat 14 ibu Hamil (46,7%) yang memiliki pengetahuan baik Tentang Status Gizi, 11 ibu Hamil (36,6%) yang memiliki pengetahuan Cukup tentang Status Gizi dan terdapat 5 ibu Hamil (16,7%) yang memiliki pengetahuan Kurang tentang Status Gizi. Kesimpulan: penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar ibu memiliki pengetahuan baik tentang status gizi ibu hamil.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Penyapihan dini adalah penghentian pemberian ASI sebelum anak mencapai usia dua tahun. Penyapihan yang dilakukan terlalu dini dapat berdampak pada tumbuh kembang anak, termasuk risiko stunting. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan tingkat pengetahuan ibu mengenai penyapihan dini dan dampaknya terhadap kejadian stunting di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bara-Baraya Makassar. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain analitik observasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 ibu yang memiliki balita. Hasil: analisis menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas ibu (57%) mengetahui tentang penyapihan dini, dampaknya, cara melakukannya, serta waktu yang tepat, sementara 43% tidak memiliki pengetahuan tersebut. Uji chi-square menghasilkan nilai p = 0.302 untuk semua variabel yang diuji. Kesimpulan: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ibu memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang penyapihan dini, tetapi masih terdapat beberapa yang belum memahami dampaknya terhadap stunting. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu dan kejadian stunting pada anak. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya edukasi lebih lanjut mengenai praktik penyapihan yang tepat agar dapat mencegah risiko stunting.
