Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the relationship between Islamic Social Responsibility (ISR) and Islamic Corporate Governance (ICG) on financial performance using Sharia Conformity and Profitability (SCnP). The research population is Sharia Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority in 2017-2022, totaling 13 Sharia Commercial Banks selected using a purposive sampling method with certain criteria. Regression factor analysis, a hybrid of factor analysis and multiple linear regression, is the data analysis technique used in this study. The results of factor analysis show that each variable's indicator is responsive to the general trend and prepared for additional study. It is possible to conclude that ISR and ICG positively affect the financial labor performance that SCnP has calculated based on the regression analysis of many lines. Sharia banking with strong ISR and ICG reporting will also have strong financial results.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the accounts receivable turnover at PT. XXY, a manufacturing company in Gresik. The study focuses on the efficiency of the company's receivables management in measuring how quickly the company converts trade receivables into cash. The analytical method involves collecting historical data on receivables, financial statements, and the company's receivables management policies. The research results will provide in-depth insights into the effectiveness of the company's receivables policies and offer recommendations to enhance accounts receivable turnover. This study has strategic implications for improving the company's liquidity, optimizing financial resources, and supporting sustainable growth. Thus, the research makes a significant contribution to both practical and academic understanding of financial management in manufacturing companies.

Abstract

Background - People have started to switch from traditional coffee shops to cafes as Gresik's business has grown. According to the data, the number of traditional coffee shops in Bungah District has been declining while the number of cafes has begun to increase. For their coffee shops to remain in business in the future, traditional owners must comprehend the significance of finances. Objective - This study aims to test the influence of financial attitude, financial knowledge and locus of control on financial management behavior through education levels in coffee shops in Bungah District. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study is quantitative in nature. Based on the Krejcie table, the study's population consisted of coffee shop owners in the Bungah District. A total of 181 coffee shops were sampled for the study using incidental sampling procedures, or sampling methods based only on chance. The findings of distributing questionnaires to respondents—coffee shop owners in the Bungah District—serve as the major data source for this study. Subjective data in the form of written questionnaire replies is the type of data that is employed. Multiple linear regression analysis is the type of analysis model that was employed in this investigation. Findings - The findings demonstrate that financial management behavior is influenced by the variables of financial attitude, financial knowledge, and locus of control. The relationship between financial attitude, financial knowledge, and locus of control on financial management behavior cannot be moderated by education level. Research implications - This study helps coffee shop owners maintain their financial behavior by educating them on the significance of financial attitudes, financial knowledge, locus of control, and educational attainment. Research limitations - Because this study was restricted to coffee shops in the Bungah District and employed a number of constrained variables, it was unable to accurately represent the financial practices of coffee shop owners generally.

Abstract

In order to prevent financial difficulties, financial literacy has now become essential for everyone, and the growing range of financial goods demands that people possess sufficient financial literacy. The Gen Z generation will eventually have to manage a growing number of complicated financial difficulties. Gen Z may steer clear of overwhelming debt, handle their finances sensibly, and get ready for a more secure financial future by becoming well-informed about money matters. This service's objectives are to give Gen Z high school students financial literacy skills, assess students' literacy levels, and enhance students' comprehension of literacy through the provision of materials from the service group. This program employs a workshop approach that is broken up into multiple phases of continuing activities. The goal of the program, which was to increase the financial literacy of PGRI Purwoharjo High School students, was accomplished with success. Students can participate in ongoing community service projects that teach them personal financial management skills and financial literacy on a regular basis.

Abstract

Penginapan merupakan salah satu kebutuhan bagi daerah setempat, sehingga pembeliannya juga dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan kartu kredit melalui lembaga keuangan dengan mengajukan Kredit Pembelian Rumah (KPR). Kehadiran KPR ini merupakan fasilitator yang diberikan oleh perbankan kepada nasabah perorangan dalam hal pembelian rumah dan perbaikan rumah. Penelitian ini berencana untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh peningkatan sistem pengakuan pendanaan KPR oleh PT X KC Gresik. Teknik pemeriksaan ini menggunakan semacam eksplorasi subyektif dengan sumber informasi penting, dan pengumpulan informasi melalui wawancara dengan pihak terkait. Informasi yang diperoleh akan diuji legitimasinya dengan uji ketergantungan. Hasil eksplorasi yang dilakukan di PT X KC Gresik menunjukkan adanya berbagai teknik yang dilakukan selama proses pengakuan dana KPR kepada calon debitur, khususnya pada saat pengecekan kepraktisan dan kapasitas pemegang rekening dengan menggunakan investigasi, misalnya, 5C dan BI-Checking. Hal ini perlu dipertimbangkan karena dapat menimbulkan bahaya yang nyata, misalnya kredit bermasalah dan kewajiban yang berat. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapat, maka untuk meminimalisir terjadinya non-performing advance dan kewajiban yang buruk, maka perlu dilakukan pengecekan setelah pengakuan KPR untuk melihat apakah peminjam di PT X KC Gresik dapat melunasinya, KPR atau tidak.

Abstract

The purpose of establishing a company is to develop, make a profit, ensure survival, and satisfy customers through its products and services. This research aims to understand and analyze the accounts receivable control system at PT ABC and to find appropriate solutions. The method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results of the study indicate that the average accounts receivable turnover at PT ABC fluctuates and tends to increase, from 10.89 times in 2019 to 10.45 times in 2021, driven by increased sales. The accounts receivable collection period (ACP) also varies, from 34 days in 2019 to 35 days in 2020 and 2021. To minimize bad debts, the company can evaluate aspects such as character, capital, and collateral, and also consider external factors such as customer bankruptcy and internal factors from the provider of accounts receivable.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to examine the effect of financial knowledge, attitudes, and experience on financial behavior, with locus of control serving as a mediating factor.Design/Methodology/Approach: This study employs a deductive research design with a causal-associative approach, targeting traditional market traders in the Gresik Regency area. A total of 100 respondents were sampled. The main data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS).Research findings: The study findings reveal that financial knowledge, attitudes, and experience positively influence locus of control. However, financial knowledge has a negative effect on financial behavior, while financial attitudes, experience, and locus of control have a positive effect. Notably, locus of control successfully mediates the positive relationship between financial knowledge, attitudes, experience, and financial behavior.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research uniquely expands the financial literacy model by incorporating the variable of financial experience. Practitioners/Policy Implications: The study findings are expected to serve as a reference model for the development and mentorship of small and medium enterprises in the Gresik district. Abstract

Digitalisasi telah mengubah lanskap sektor perbankan, menciptakan peluang sekaligus tantangan bagi bank tradisional, terutama di tingkat lokal seperti Bank Gresik. Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi pemasaran Bank Gresik menggunakan pendekatan SWOT untuk mengevaluasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi di era digitalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bank Gresik memiliki kekuatan utama berupa sumber daya manusia yang terlatih, biaya administrasi gratis, jaminan LPS yang lebih tinggi, dan pendekatan pelayanan proaktif. Namun, keterbatasan teknologi, fasilitas keuangan, dan cakupan jaringan layanan menjadi kelemahan yang signifikan. Peluang terletak pada pengembangan teknologi informasi, pembukaan cabang baru, dan kemitraan dengan fintech, sementara ancaman terbesar berasal dari persaingan fintech, rendahnya literasi keuangan, dan risiko keamanan siber. Berdasarkan temuan, penelitian ini mengusulkan strategi pemasaran yang mencakup penguatan hubungan dengan nasabah melalui program tanggung jawab sosial, peningkatan kapasitas teknologi informasi, serta edukasi keuangan untuk meningkatkan literasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada literatur dengan memberikan wawasan strategis bagi bank lokal dalam menghadapi persaingan di era digital dan memperluas pemahaman tentang inklusi keuangan. Abstract

Community Service was held for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik who taught the Financial Report Analysis course entitled "Improving Financial Report Analysis Literacy: Loan Analysis". This activity aims to improve students' understanding and ability in analyzing financial reports regarding loan / credit analysis. This community service activity was carried out at the Sang Pencerah Hall, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik which is located at Jl. Sumatera No. 101, Gn. Malang, Randuagung, Kec. Kebomas, Kab. Gresik, East Java. This community service activity was carried out on June 27, 2024. This activity was attended by approximately 100 students by presenting expert speakers in the field of finance who were also members of the FEB UMG Community Service Team. The material presented included the concept of preparing financial reports, the basic nature of financial reports, the purpose of preparing financial reports, financial report analysis, credit / loan analysis and calculation of credit / loan analysis. Participants showed enthusiasm and positive responses and felt that this material was very relevant and useful to support student knowledges

Abstract

People with sound financial planning abilities can steer clear of excessive debt, make better financial judgments, and get ready for a more secure financial future. Students in high school still have a poor level of awareness regarding the significance of financial planning. Through outreach, this community service project seeks to educate youngsters about the value of sound money management from a young age. Since financial planning promotes investment, it aids in kids' education. Through engaging lectures and lively debates, the outreach strategy pushed students to establish financial objectives and recognize the value of investing and saving. The activity's outcomes showed that students' comprehension and desire to learn more about investments had grown. This demonstrates that financial planning and investment are appropriate approaches to increasing students' financial interest and awareness.
