Abstract

The development of information technology encourages micro, small and medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to improve the efficiency of their business processes. However, the application of ERP among MSMEs is still relatively low, especially in East Java. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is known as enterprise resource planning, which refers to managing various aspects of a company's business in an integrated manner. This study aims to determine the factors that influence interest in the use and behavior of using the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system with the Unified Theory Of Acceptance And Use Of Technology (UTAUT) model. The UTAUT model has four independent variables, namely performance expectations, effort expectations, social influence, and facilitating conditions. The UTAUT model has two dependent variables, namely user interest and technology use behavior. In addition, this study adds one other variable, namely software security. In this study, a sample of 100 MSMEs was used. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires and meeting with MSME owners in East Java. The data was then analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The test results indicate that the variables of performance expectations and facilitating conditions have a positive and significant effect on interest in using the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Then, the hypotheses that were rejected, namely effort expectations, social influence, user interest and technology usage behavior.

Abstract

E-commerce is now an important part of the lives of Indonesians, fuelled by the development of technology and smartphones. Recent studies have identified live streaming as a key trend in e-commerce, with particular reference to its use in increasing interaction between sellers and buyers. The most widely used platform for live streaming shopping is Shopee Live. This research focuses on fashion products, which show high purchase rates through Shopee Live. The change in consumer behaviour, from relying on product descriptions to direct interaction with sellers, raises questions about the factors that drive impulse purchases in this context. The present study has been designed to identify the factors that influence the impulse purchase of fashion products on Shopee Live. To this end, the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework has been adopted. Data was collected through a survey of respondents who had made fashion purchases on Shopee Live. The data were analysed using the PLS-SEM method with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that the variables of attractiveness, trustworthiness, and expertise have a positive and significant effect on perceived enjoyment, while product usefulness, purchase convenience, and product price have a positive influence on perceived usefulness. In addition, it was found that perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment contribute significantly to the impulse purchase of fashion products.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital banking services has encouraged users to shift toward applications that offer convenience and efficiency, such as Bank Jago. However, the account breach incident in July 2024 raised concerns about application security and potentially affected customer satisfaction and loyalty. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing customer satisfaction and their impact on customer loyalty in the Bank Jago application. The research model adopts the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), incorporating core constructs—Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU)—along with additional variables: Perceived Trust (PT), Perceived Security (PS), and Perceived Risk (PR). Customer Satisfaction (CS) serves as the mediating variable, while Customer Loyalty (CL) is the dependent variable. Data were collected from 238 respondents and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The results show that PEOU, PU, and PT have a positive and significant influence on CS, whereas PS and PR do not have a significant effect. Furthermore, CS has a positive and significant influence on CL. These findings highlight the extended TAM framework in explaining digital banking behavior and emphasize the crucial role of user satisfaction in driving customer loyalty.

Abstract

CV. Jaya Mitra Chemical is a company engaged in the sale and purchase of chemical products, providing chemicals (chemical maintenance) for industry, shipping, shipbuilding, and offshore oil drilling. The main problem faced is closely related to the length of the cycle time in the business process, particularly in the procurement and management of chemical raw material supplies. This research was conducted to implement Business Process Reengineering at CV Jaya Mitra Chemical to optimize the company's cycle time efficiency by identifying and correcting weaknesses in the business processes of procurement and management of raw material supplies and to determine the percentage increase in the company's cycle time efficiency resulting from the implementation of Business Process Reengineering in the procurement and management of raw material supplies at CV. Jaya Mitra Chemical. The business process reengineering (BPR) process was assisted by BPMN, value-added analysis, and root cause analysis (fishbone diagram), followed by To-Be modelling using a heuristic redesign approach. After implementing BPR in the procurement and management of raw material inventory (using the CV Delivery Section as the collection method), the average business process cycle time decreased from 3 hours 11 minutes 37 seconds to 1 hour 56 minutes 7 seconds, which means that efficiency increased by 39.4% CTE. There was a reduction in time of 1 hour 15 minutes 30 seconds. Then, in the Procurement and Management of Raw Material Inventory Process (using Gosend courier services), the average business process cycle time decreased from 3 hours 9 minutes 11 seconds to 2 hours 18 minutes 42 seconds, which means efficiency increased by 26.7% CTE and experienced a time reduction of 50 minutes 29 seconds.

Abstract

Information security is a critical concern for Internet Service Provider companies due to their high dependency on information systems and customer data. PT XYZ has not yet conducted a formal information security risk analysis, despite its plan to prepare for ISO/IEC 27001 certification. This study aims to assess information security risks at PT XYZ using the ISO/IEC 27005:2018 framework and to formulate appropriate risk mitigation recommendations. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected through literature studies, interviews, and direct observations of information assets, business processes, and existing security controls at PT XYZ. The risk analysis process includes context establishment, identification of critical assets based on confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles, identification of threats and vulnerabilities, risk analysis using likelihood and impact parameters, risk evaluation, and the development of risk treatment plans. The results indicate that out of 27 identified information assets, 24 assets are classified as critical. Several identified risks are categorized as high and very high, which may significantly affect the continuity of the company’s core services, including internet connectivity, web hosting, and Domain Name System services. Based on these findings, risk mitigation recommendations are proposed with reference to ISO/IEC 27002:2022 security controls. This study is expected to support PT XYZ in strengthening its information security posture and to serve as an initial step toward achieving ISO/IEC 27001 certification.

Abstract

Digital learning platforms are widely utilized in higher education to support academic activities, yet student engagement with these systems often varies across contexts. Understanding the factors that shape continued usage therefore becomes essential. This study explores student interaction with the Sinau Digital Universitas Negeri Surabaya (SIDIA) e-learning platform by examining both user-related perceptions and system-related characteristics. Data were obtained from undergraduate students who had prior experience using SIDIA for at least one academic semester, and a quantitative analytical approach was applied. The relationships among the observed variables were evaluated using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that expectations regarding system usefulness and ease of operation, along with social and environmental support, contribute to the formation of user satisfaction. In addition, the quality of the system, the information it delivers, and the services supporting it play an important role in strengthening satisfaction levels. User satisfaction is further shown to influence students’ intention to continue using the platform and their actual engagement with the system. These findings indicate that satisfaction functions as a key connecting mechanism between user perceptions, system attributes, and sustained utilization of e-learning services. The study offers insights for higher education institutions in developing and managing digital learning systems that promote long-term use and effective learning support.
