<![CDATA[Abstract. CV Nur Rahmat Teknik is a manufacturing industrial company located on Jl. Garuda Rear No.92 This company was founded in 2005, the products produced are Heating Element, Furnace, Find Tube, Thermo Control, Thermo Couple, Control Panel. The company has established a Make to Order policy, namely carrying out the production process when there is an order from a consumer. Currently, CV Nur Rahmat Teknik is faced with a problem, namely the occurrence of defects in Heating Element products that exceed the established tolerance standards. Therefore, companies can use the new seven tools and 5W+1H to minimize defects that occur in the company. The main aim of this research is to reduce defective products and provide suggestions for continuous improvement. The solution to overcome this problem is that researchers will use the new seven tools of quality and 5W+1H methods. This method can be used to clearly identify problems that occur in the company and can show the relationship between the causes of the problem and the consequences of the problem that occurs. The results obtained using the new seven tools method contain defects that must be prioritized, namely cutting defects. This disability has the highest priority value compared to other disabilities. Treatments that companies can take are tightening supervision of operators, training at cutting stations, carrying out regular machine maintenance, making visual displays and then making Operational Standards (SOP) as a reference for operators when carrying out the production process. Perusahaan ini didirikan sejak 2005, produk yang dihasilkan yaitu Heating Element, Furnace, Find Tube, Thermo Control, Thermo Couple, Panel Control. Perusahaan menetapkan kebijakan Make to Order yaitu melakukan proses produksi pada saat adanya pesanan dari konsumen. Saat ini CV Nur Rahmat Teknik dihadapkan dengan permasalahan yaitu terjadinya kecacatan pada produk Heating Element yang melebihi standar toleransi yang telah ditetapkan. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan dapat menggunakan new seven tools dan 5W+1H untuk meminimalisir kecacatan yang terjadi di perusahaan. Tujuan utama penelitian ini untuk mengurangi produk cacat dan memberikan usulan perbaikan yang berkelanjutan. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka peneliti akan menggunakan metode new seven tools of quality dan 5W+1H. Metode ini dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang terjadi pada perusahaan secara jelas serta dapat menunjukkan keterkaitan penyebab masalah dengan akibat dari masalah yang terjadi. Hasil yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode new seven tools terdapat kecacatan yang harus diprioritaskan yaitu cacat pemotongan. Kecacatan tersebut memiliki nilai prioritas tertinggi dibanding kecacatan lainnya. Penanganan yang dapat dilakukan perusahaan adalah memperketat pengawasan terhadap operator, pelatihan di stasiun pemotongan, melakukan maintenance mesin secara berkala, membuat visual display, kemudian melakukan pembuatan Standar Operasional (SOP) sebagai acuan untuk operator ketika melakukan proses produksi.]]>
