Abstract

Students often experience difficulties in learning biology. This research aims to develop digital booklets based on 3D images in biology learning at SMA/MA as learning media to help students understand the material easily. Methods Research was conducted in a literature review using references from Google Scholar that were relevant to the research. There were 65 articles for development keywords and 10 articles for recapitulation data. The average validity results were in the very valid category. The validity test assesses the feasibility of a product, language, data presentation, and graphics. 3D-based digital booklets have met the requirements as media to be used in biology learning. The results show that the 3D-based digital booklets are the right solution for various problems, especially in biology learning at school. The benefits of development research are to increase the effectiveness of students in the learning process, provide convenience in accessing digital booklet media, and provide concise and systematic explanations that are easy to understand.

Abstract

Pathogenic insects such as Asilidae or robber flies can eat other insects, causing a decrease in the number of insect populations, namely grasshoppers. Decreasing the locust population will have a positive impact on the agricultural ecosystem. Research to determine the effect of Asilidae on decreasing grasshopper populations in agricultural ecosystems. The research method was carried out in a meta-analysis using references from theories relevant to the research. Meta analysis is a quantitative analysis using certain data to obtain information from 5 accredited articles. The results of the study showed that flies are small to very large (body length: 4–65 mm; wing length: 4–40 mm), are predatory, eat other insects on their wings. The results of the research that has been done show that there is an influence of Asilidae insects on the decline in locust populations in agricultural ecosystems.

Abstract

Learning media is something that is used to increase student’s interest in learning activities. Limited learning media makes biology material difficult for students to understand. Virus material is a type of biological material that has a lot of material and images that are difficult to understand. So, learning media needed that is concise and has attractive images in the form of booklet 3-dimensional image-based digital as a learning medium for viral material for Senior High School. This research aims to test the feasibility and practicality booklet 3-dimensional image-based digital as a learning medium for virus material at Kartika High School 1-5 Padang. This research is a development using Thiagarajan's 4-D development model. Based on the research results obtained as follows: material expert validation results 90.15% in the very good category, media experts 94.69% in the very good category, teacher practicality test results 95.83% in the very good category, student practicality test 89.10% in the very good category. Can be concluded that booklet digital material developed on viral material is feasible and capable of increasing student interest..
