Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a form of renal failure for 3 consecutive months that can be treated with hemodialysis. CKD patients need to undergo diet according to their kidney condition to prevent complications. On Riskesdas 2018, the prevalence of CKD reached 3.8 percent for population aged ≥15 years. The study aimed to determine the effect of nutritional counseling with dietary journal on the knowledge, attitudes, and dietary compliance of CKD patients who were undergoing hemodialysis at PGI Cikini Hospital. Knowledge and attitudes of samples were collected by asking samples to fill out questionnaire before and 1 week after nutrition counselings. Dietary compliances were collected from energy intake, macro and micronutrients, and IDWG values. The results showed that there were increases in the number of samples with adequate and good knowledge levels, positive attitudes, and in the compliant group to 84.6 percent; 94.9 percent; and 69.3 percent, respectively. Bivariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in the level of knowledge and compliance of CKD patients underwent hemodialysis at RSI PGI Cikini after nutrition counseling with a dietary journal. However, nutrition counseling has no effect on patients’ attitudes towards hemodialysis diet. Abstract

Indonesia has a "Double Burden of Malnutrition". Based on Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data for 2018, the prevalence of undernutrition is estimated at 13.8%, while the prevalence of overweight is reported to be at 8%. Balanced nutrition is crucial for normal growth, physical development, and cognitive abilities. The key to the success or failure of nutritional status in toddlers lies in the mother's knowledge regarding nutrition. Nutrition education is an effort to overcome nutritional problems by increasing mothers' knowledge. The purpose of this study is to examine the difference in mothers' knowledge of balanced nutrition for preschool children before and after receiving nutrition education using PowerPoint slides at biMBA AIUEO Unit Vila Bintaro Indah. The research method employed in this study was a pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test-post-test approach.. The total population in this study is 80 individuals and a total of 31 mothers were included as participants taken utilized purposive sampling. Data was collected through a questionnaire (Google Form). Statistical analysis were conducted using the Paired Sample t-test. The results showed that there is a significant difference in the mother's knowledge regarding balanced nutrition for preschool children with p = 0.000 (p <0.05). The suggestion given is that the school encouraged to collaborate with the local Community Health Center (Puskesmas) to provide continuous nutrition education for preschool children.

Abstract

Stunting is a disorder that occurs in a child's nutritional status, where the child's height is relatively short compared to his age. Based on the 2022 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunted toddlers in South Jakarta is 11.9%. The incidence of stunting is still a concern that must be addressed immediately. South Grogol Community Health Center created a program, namely KPG. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between age, education, employment and exposure to information on the knowledge, attitudes and actions of mothers participating in the KPG program at the South Grogol Community Health Center. This type of research was carried out, namely analytical observational with a cross sectional design. Samples were taken by total sampling. The research results showed that 58.8% were aged 36 – 45 years, 76.5% had higher education, 82.3% had nonworking/domestic status, the level of exposure to good information was 64.7%. The level of knowledge in the good category is 76.5%, attitude in the positive category is 70.6%, and action in the poor category is 58.8%. Obtained significant results on knowledge based on education level with a p - value of 0.022 and significant results on attitudes based on exposure to information with a p - value of 0.028. For health workers, the KPG program can remind respondents to apply the knowledge gained from the KPG program to their daily parenting patterns. This is done to maintain and improve children's nutritional status in a good direction. Keywords : Characteristic, Exposure to Information, Knowledge, Attitudes, Actions

To determine the differences in knowledge, attitudes, and practices of complementary feeding before and after nutrition education with video media for baduta mothers at Posyandu Mawar 03 & 04 West Pademangan, North Jakarta. This study was Pre-Experimental using a One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design with Purposive Sampling, obtained 40 respondents. The Chi-Square test and the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs test were used to analyze the data. There was a relationship between maternal education with attitudes and practices of complementary feeding before nutrition education through video media. There were differences in knowledge, attitudes, and practices of complementary feeding before and after nutrition education with video media for baduta mothers at Posyandu Mawar 03 & 04 West Pademangan, North Jakarta.
