Abstract

The prevalence of anemia in teenagers in DKI Jakarta reached 23% which adversely affected the health of teenage girls, mostly due to iron deficiency. The effects of anemia not only cause fatigue and decreased concentration of learning, but can affect the growth and reproductive health of adolescents in the future. Youth's lack of knowledge and awareness of the importance of preventing anemia is a challenge in itself. Therefore, interesting and easy - to - understand health education needs to be provided to teenagers, especially in the school environment. This activity aims to provide education on anemia to teenagers and improve students' ability to convey health information effectively. The activity was carried out at SMK Negeri 2 Central Jakarta with a target of 34 students aged 15-19 through educational stages with video animation, Q&A, discussion, evaluation. The results of the activity show that SMKN 2 students have good insight and can be concluded that video media has proven effective in attracting attention and conveying information about anemia clearly and interestingly.
