Abstract

Nurses who have a caring attitude have an impact on increasing confidence which has an impact on patient and family satisfaction in the condition of patients who are being treated in the ICU room, the family remains in a controlled mood so that caring is effective in reducing family anxiety. The purpose of this literature study can explain the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the level of anxiety of patients and families in the ICU room. The method used was in the form of a literature study or literature review with a procedure for searching and selecting articles based on meta analysis (PRISMA) so that 16 selected articles were obtained that were worthy of analysis. The databases used in this study are Google Scholar, Pubmed and SCIENCE DIRECT with a publication span of the last 5 years, namely from 2019 to 2024 with fulltext article types. The results of the review of the 16 articles reviewed stated that the results of the statistical analysis test found that there was a correlation between the respondent's perception of nurse caring and the level of anxiety felt by the patient's family with a p-value of 0.05. The conclusion of this literature review is that there is a relationship between nurse caring and the level of anxiety of patients' families in the ICU room

Abstract

Background: The final semester exam for students is a stressor that causes anxiety. The semester’s final exam can be theoretical and practice exams. The practice exam is an evaluation to know nursing students' skills before practicing in healthcare facilities. The method to evaluate students’ skills is Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) Purpose: To determine the effect of modified deep breathing relaxation techniques on the anxiety levels of (OSCE) participants through a randomized controlled trial design. Method: A randomized control trial of the parallel groups. The number of samples was 36 respondents. Data analysis using shapiro wilk, Levene test, paired t-test, independent t-test, and Cohen’s d. Results: the mean of anxiety decreased from 66.72 (3.2) to 53.72 (5.8) in the experimental group with a p-value is 0.000. On the other hand, the mean of anxiety increased from 43.17 (7.5) to 48.39 (9.3) in the control group with a p-value of 0.017. Additional data showed that the p-value of experimental vs control is 0.000, meaning there is a difference in score anxiety between the experimental and control group with an effect size is 0.5 (medium). Conclusion: A significant effect of modification of deep breathing relaxation on the anxiety level of students facing the OSCE exam.  Keywords: Anxiety; Deep Breathing Relaxation Technique; Dzikr; OSCE.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kondisi kegawatdaruratan dapat terjadi dimana saja dan kapan saja. Tindakan Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP) merupakan intervensi yang menjadi penentu dalam kelangsungan hidup korban henti jantung. Pemberian demonstrasi dan simulasi tindakan RJP diiringi irama lagu dilakukan untuk mengenalkan penanganan kegawatdaruratan henti jantung dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan pengetahuan. Sehingga penolong dengan sigap meminta bantuan ketika menemukan korban henti jantung. Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan irama lagu Baby Shark terhadap metode pembelajaran (pengenalan dini) tindakan RJP di SDIT Al-Khoiriyah Al-Husna. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimental two group pretest posttest with control group design dengan sampel sebanyak 70 responden yang diambil menggunakan total sampling. Analisa data menggunakan Paired Sample Test. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukan rata-rata nilai pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi pengenalan dini disertai penggunaan irama lagu Baby Shark  mengalami peningkatan dari 10,17 menjadi 39,06 dengan p 0,000 ( 0,05) dan rata-rata nilai pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan pada pre dan post pada kelompok kontrol 8.49 menjadi 18,11 dengan nilai p 0,000 ( 0,05). Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan irama lagu Baby Shark terhadap metode pembelajaran (pengenalan dini) tindakan RJP pada anak usia sekolah di SDIT Al-Khoiriyah Al-Husna.

Abstract

Background: Academic examinations, especially practical exams such as OSCE, often trigger high levels of anxiety among nursing students. Anxiety arises from environmental pressure, limited time, and strict regulations, which negatively affect students’ performance. Non-pharmacological interventions, particularly breathing relaxation techniques combined with spiritual elements, are considered effective to reduce anxiety before examinations. Purpose: To identify the effect of modified deep breathing relaxation techniques with dzikr on the anxiety levels of nursing students facing OSCE at Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi. Method: This research was a randomized control trial with parallel group design. A total of 36 nursing students were recruited and divided equally into intervention and control groups using simple random sampling. The intervention group received modified deep breathing relaxation combined with dzikr prior to OSCE, while the control group did not receive the intervention. Anxiety was measured using the Zung Self Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) before and after the OSCE. Data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk, Levene test, paired t-test, independent t-test, and Cohen’s d. Results: The findings showed a significant reduction in anxiety in the intervention group, with the mean score decreasing from 66.72 to 53.72 (p = 0.000). Conversely, the control group experienced an increase in anxiety, from 43.17 to 48.39 (p = 0.017). The difference between groups was statistically significant (p = 0.049) with a medium effect size (0.682). Conclusion: Modified deep breathing relaxation combined with dzikr is effective in reducing anxiety among OSCE participants. Nursing education institutions are encouraged to apply this technique as part of routine preparation to help students manage anxiety before practical examinations.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Adolescence is a time of searching for character. There are many factors that influence its growth and development. One of them is nutritional intake, insufficient nutritional intake can result in stunting which then affects children's motoric, psychological and cognitive development. One of the psychological problems that arises is mental health problems and cognitive problems, namely learning achievement. This research is to determine the relationship between mental health and the learning achievement of stunted adolescents. The research used a quantitative approach with Spearman Rank correlation analysis, a sample of 73, total sampling method. Measuring tools use the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), anthropometry and documentation of report cards. This research has a Spearman correlation coefficient value of 0.669, indicating a strong positive relationship between mental health and the learning achievement of stunted adolescents. Good mental health will support good learning achievement.  Keywords: Mental Health, Learning Achievement, Teenagers, Stunting  ABSTRAK Masa remaja adalah masa mencari karakter. Ada banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya. Salah satunya adalah asupan gizi, asupan gizi yang kurang bisa mengakibatkan stunting yang kemudian berpengaruh terhadap penkembangan motorik, psikologis dan kognitif anak. Salah satu masalah psikologis yang muncul yaitu masalah kesehatan mental dan untuk kognitif yaitu prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesehatan mental dengan prestasi belajar remaja stunting. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisa korelasi Spearman Rank, sampel sebanyak 73, metode pengambilan sampel total sampling. Alat ukur menggunakan Strenght and difficulties Questionnare (SDQ), antropometri dan dokumentasi nilai rapot.  Penelitian ini memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi Spearman 0,669, menunjukkan hubungan positif yang kuat antara kesehatan mental dan prestasi belajar remaja stunting. Kesehatan mental yang baik akan mendukung prestasi belajar yang baik. Kata Kunci: Kesehatan Mental, Prestasi Belajar, Remaja, Stunting
