Abstract

The most important developmental aspect in determining student success is social development. In fact, currently some elementary schools still do not understand the pattern of development of their students (Anisah & Hakam, 2022). In line with the previous statement, Syukri (2021) argues that teachers do not really understand the solution to overcome the shortcomings of their students. This is also felt in SDN Duri Kosambi 06 Pagi, teachers have not been able to understand the pattern of social development in children so that it hampers the learning process. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The population of this study were all students of SDN Duri Kosambi 06 Pagi. From the total population, researchers took samples using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were 30 students in class V. Based on observations, this is proven by the existence of several social problems for children, including (1) students are still reluctant to participate in group work activities; (2) students still often choose friends; (3) there are still students who are excluded; (4) students only want to work in groups with close friends; (5) students have not been able to express and share feelings with their peers; (6) students have not been able to take responsibility for their obligations; and so forth. The low social aspect needs attention from all parties.

Abstract

English is referred to as the second language after Indonesian, because English is the language of instruction used internationally. therefore English is very necessary for students to equip them in facing global challenges and as a supporting tool in their lives. However, there are still many students who have difficulty mastering and understanding English vocabulary in supporting learning activities. Because there is still a lack of use of learning media in the process of learning activities, especially in learning vocabulary in English. This has an impact on the lack of understanding and mastery of vocabulary because learning takes place without any supporting media. One of the learning media that can be used in the effectiveness of learning English vocabulary is with Flash Card learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using flashcard learning media to improve English vocabulary mastery in class 2 of SDN Karawaci 5. So the results obtained from this research in the first meeting had not achieved maximum results, at the first meeting it was seen that students were unable to pronounce vocabulary or understand vocabulary in English and even at this time students still looked confused in using Flash card learning media . And in the first cycle students get an average score of 68 with a learning completeness percentage of around 72%. By looking at the predetermined minimum completeness criteria (KKM) at SD Negeri Karawaci 5, namely 75, there were 13 people who reached the completion criteria. Which means only 72% while according to KTSP a lesson is said to be complete if the completeness score obtained by students is approximately 75% of the number of students. And in the second cycle there was an increase with an average value of 80, with learning completeness around 100%.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning pattern changed from doing face-to-face learning, while now doing screen-to-screen in the form of zoom, google meetings or using WhatsApp as was done by teachers at SDIT ASDU, while some of them used limited face-to-face learning, giving rise to several challenges. But behind the regulations given by the government, of course, it aims to protect all Indonesian citizens, especially people who are very vulnerable to exposure to the Covid-19 virus such as small children and elderly people, but this time we will not only discuss learning problems that arise. only due to the pandemic but we will also discuss the solution. According to the dictionary of education, education itself is defined as follows: 1) the process of a person developing abilities, attitudes, and other behaviors in the society in which they live, 2) the social process that occurs in people who are exposed to selected and controlled environmental influences (especially those that affect them). come from school), so that they can obtain optimal development of social skills and individual abilities. In other words, education is influenced by the environment of the individual to produce changes that are permanent (permanent) in behavior, thoughts, and attitudes.
