Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the impact of student learning outcomes with science learning material on energy transformation which was applied using the make-a-match type of learning method. In addition, showing interactive videos and PowerPoint also supports learning activities that can help students in the process of understanding each material that will be provided. The make-a-match method is very efficiently applied to teaching and learning activities in elementary schools. In addition to learning, students can also play games to match question cards. The make a match type of cooperative learning method aims to generate mutual respect between students, form an attitude of responsibility in students, increase self-confidence in solving a problem, find the best solution and demand active and creative students in every teaching and learning activity. This study used a class action method by collecting data through a questionnaire in the form of questions regarding the energy transformation material. Techniques for collecting data in our study were observation, written tests and documentation. The design of this research consists of four main activities that have been determined, namely: planning such as making lesson plans, implementing the intended class action, observing the results of student scores, and finally reflecting. In this realm researchers must focus, because it will have an impact on student learning outcomes and can apply it in everyday life.

Abstract

Learning media is a means of influencing a teaching and learning process.  In the absence of learning media, it is difficult for KBM to be implemented effectively.  Without realizing it, learning media has an important role in addition to teachers and students as the main objects in the learning process.  In this case it can be concluded that if the learning media is minimal/less then it will hinder the creation of real educational goals.  Besides that, the full contribution of the school is also very much needed in creating competent teachers in order to be able to form a conducive and enjoyable student learning enthusiasm that can get encouragement in increasing student motivation in learning.  The effectiveness of the assessment is also necessary in the teaching and learning process, because with the assessment the teacher can determine the abilities of each individual/student.  Assessment does not only focus on the learning outcomes that have been obtained, but also on the process of how students learn.  Assessment also functions as a relationship that influences each other and there is reciprocity between students and teachers, assessment in education also aims to find out the increase in student learning activities, in order to improve and enhance student learning at school and at home.  Problems that often occur related to learning media usually occur in schools located in remote areas, which are far from the reach of the government.  It can be exemplified by the lack of supply of textbooks and infrastructure such as projectors, etc. that can support success in learning.  In this case students have difficulty finding learning resources, so the teacher must contribute to creating learning media to cover these deficiencies, because the teacher has a very big role in changing student learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of video media on learning activities and science learning outcomes for fourth grade students of MINU Kedungcangkring. The research method used is quantitative with a causal comparative research design which is tested in one class. The assessment instrument used is a statement in the form of multiple choice, totaling 10 questions to find out the answers of the respondents. The sample of this study was class IV at MINU Kedungcangkring with a total of 25 students. The sampling technique in this research is sampling. Data analysis used Anova simple linear regression test. Data analysis used a simple linear regression test through the IBM SPSS 24.0 application. The results of the study on the linear regression test of video media on learning activities showed that the significance value of 0.000 was smaller than the significant level of 0.05, on video media on learning outcomes of 0.285 and on learning activities on learning outcomes it had a value of 0.641 where the overall value was significant. > the significant level used is 0.05. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an effect on the application of video media to learning activities but does not affect learning outcomes, learning activities and learning outcomes.

Abstrak Media pembelajaran merupakan sarana berpengaruh pada suatu KBM. Tidak adanya media pembelajaran, KBM sulit untuk terselenggara secara efektif. Tanpa disadari, media pembelajaran memiliki peran penting disamping guru dan siswa sebagai objek utama dalam proses belajar. Dalam hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwasanya jika media pembelajaran minim/kurang maka akan menghambat terciptanya tujuan pendidikan yang sesungguhya. Disamping itu kontribusi penuh pihak sekolah juga sangat dibutuhkan dalam menciptakan guru yang kompeten guna dapat membentuk semangat belajar siswa yang kondusif dan menyenangkan yang dapat memperoleh dorongan dalam meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajarnya. Keefektifan penilaian juga perlu dalam proses KBM, karena dengan adanya penilaian guru dapat mengetahui kemampuan tiap individu/siswa. Penilaian bukan hanya fokus dengan hasil belajar yang telah didapatkan, tetapi juga pada proses cara belajar yang dilakukan siswa. Penilaian juga berfungsi sebagai hubungan yang saling mempengaruhi dan adanya timbal balik antara siswa dengan guru, penilaian dalam pendidikan juga bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan kegiatan belajar siswa, guna memperbaiki dan meningkatan belajar siswa disekolah maupun dirumah. Problematika-problematika yang sering terjadi terkait dalam media pembelajaran biasanya terjadi di sekolah-sekolah yang terletak di pedalaman, yang jauh dari jangkauan pemerintah. Dapat dicontohkan seperti kurangnya pasokan buku paket serta sarana prasarana seperti proyektor dll yang dapat menunjang keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini peserta didik mengalami kesulitan untuk menemukan sumber belajar, sehingga guru harus berkontribusi untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran untuk menutupi kekurangan tersebut, karena guru memiliki peran yang sangat besar untuk perubahan peserta didiknya.

Abstract

Pesantren Nurul jadid dengan jumlah santri kurang lebih sepuluh ribu jiwa yang bermukim tentu memiliki kepadatan penduduk cukup tinggi dan lingkungan yang rawan terhadap penyebaran penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD). Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, pesantren ini mengalami peningkatan kasus DBD di kalangan santri dan staf, yang disebabkan oleh kondisi lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangbiakan nyamuk Aedes aegypti, kurangnya kesadaran tentang pentingnya pencegahan DBD, dan rendahnya partisipasi dalam upaya pemantauan jentik. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirancang untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut melalui pemberdayaan siswa sebagai pemantau jentik dalam upaya penurunan kasus DBD di pesantren. Bentuk pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi sosialisasi dan edukasi tentang DBD dan pencegahannya, pelatihan praktis bagi siswa tentang cara mengidentifikasi dan memantau jentik nyamuk, pembentukan tim pemantau jentik dari siswa yang telah dilatih, pelaksanaan kegiatan pemantauan rutin di lingkungan pesantren, serta evaluasi dan monitoring secara berkala. Solusi yang ditawarkan melalui program ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran santri serta staf pesantren tentang DBD dan langkah-langkah pencegahannya, membekali siswa dengan keterampilan praktis untuk melakukan pemantauan jentik, dan menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih sehat dan aman dari ancaman DBD. Kesimpulan dari program pengabdian ini adalah bahwa pemberdayaan siswa sebagai pemantau jentik dapat secara efektif mengurangi tempat perkembangbiakan nyamuk, meningkatkan partisipasi aktif santri dalam upaya pencegahan DBD, dan menurunkan jumlah kasus DBD di lingkungan pesantren. Program ini juga menunjukkan pentingnya kolaborasi antara pesantren, siswa, dan tim PKM dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang sehat dan aman bagi seluruh penghuni pesantren

Abstract

This research aimed to measure the effectiveness of Beelinguapp in enhancing students’ reading comprehension of recount text. This study employed quantitative method with pre-experimental research design. A total number of 38 students of grade VIII SMP Islamiyah Ciputat, South Tangerang, participated as the sample of this research. In collecting the data, both pre-test and post-test of recount text reading comprehension were administered. The results of students’ achievement in these two tests were used as the primary data of this research work. In analyzing the data, statistical analysis of paired sample t-test was used. The results of the analysis revealed that the average pre-test score reached by the students was 55.44, while in the post-test was 79.81. Besides, statistical computation indicated that t-cal > t-table (t-count = 2.204 > t-table = 2.026) in the significance level of 0.05 (5%). These findings confirmed that Beelinguapp was said to be effective in enhancing students’ reading comprehension of recount text. Thus, this research work rejected H0 and accepted Ha.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the positive and significant effect of PBL model on reasoning ability and independence of learning mathematics of students taught in class VII MTS Miftahul Hasan; determine the magnitude of the influence of PBL model on reasoning ability and independence of learning mathematics of students taught in class VII MTS Miftahul Hasan. From the results of the discussion of this study, the average pretest for the class that used the PBL approach was 59.00, while the control class was 56.83. After being given different learning, the average value of students' posttest became 83.3 for the experimental class (PBL) and 70.1 for the control class (conventional). Based on hypothesis testing, obtained tcount = 6.151 at a significant level = 0.05 and ttable = 2.042. By comparing between thitung and ttabel, obtained thitung > ttabel or 6.151 > 2.042, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that learning using the PBL model has a significant effect on the reasoning ability and learning independence of students at MTS Miftahul Hasan.
