Abstract

The main focus in thematic learning is on student understanding and the development of relevant skills along with understanding the concept. The article also discusses the importance of distinguishing between teaching and learning, where teaching refers to the teacher's efforts in facilitating the achievement of students' learning goals, while learning highlights the interactions between teachers and students. There are three main models in thematic learning: Connection Model, Spider Web Model, and Integration Model, each of which has advantages and disadvantages in integrating subjects. The Spider Web Model adopts a thematic approach by using themes as a link between subjects. The Integration Model seeks to create connections between concepts, skills, topics, ideas, and activities within a particular field of study, but requires greater collaboration between teachers and a mature curriculum. The Connectedness Model, basically, creates connections between concepts, skills, topics, ideas and activities in a particular field of study by utilizing themes as a link. ABSTRAKFokus utama dalam pembelajaran tematik adalah overpada pemahaman siswa dan perkembangan keterampilan yang relevan seiring dengan pemahaman konsep tersebut. Artikel juga membahas pentingnya membedakan antara pengajaran dan pembelajaran, di mana pengajaran merujuk pada upaya guru dalam memfasilitasi pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran siswa, sementara pembelajaran menyoroti interaksi antara guru dan siswa. Terdapat tiga model utama dalam pembelajaran tematik: Model Keterhubungan, Model Jaring Laba-laba, dan Model Keterpaduan, yang masing-masing memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan dalam mengintegrasikan mata pelajaran. Model Jaring Laba-laba mengadopsi pendekatan tematik dengan menggunakan tema sebagai pengikat antara mata pelajaran. Model Keterpaduan berusaha menciptakan keterhubungan antara konsep, keterampilan, topik, ide, dan kegiatan dalam satu bidang studi tertentu, namun memerlukan kolaborasi yang lebih besar antara guru dan kurikulum yang matang. Model Keterhubungan, pada dasarnya, menciptakan keterkaitan antara konsep, keterampilan, topik, ide, dan kegiatan dalam satu bidang studi tertentu dengan memanfaatkan tema sebagai penghubung.

Abstract

The research aims to explore the important role of teachers in implementing the multicultural Islamic religious education curriculum at the Ar-Rahmah Makassar Integrated Islamic High School. Through a qualitative approach, data was obtained through in-depth interviews with teachers involved in the curriculum implementation process. Data analysis was carried out using the thematic analysis method. The findings show that teachers have a key role in integrating the values of multiculturalism in Islamic religious teaching. They act as facilitators who create inclusive learning environments, promote a deep understanding of cultural diversity, and facilitate intercultural dialogue in the classroom. Apart from that, teachers also act as models who provide positive examples of tolerance, mutual understanding and respect for differences. The implication of this research is the important role of teachers in building a deep understanding of multiculturalism among students, so that they can become inclusive and tolerant citizens in a multicultural society. ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran penting guru dalam implementasi kurikulum pendidikan agama Islam multikultural di Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu Ar-Rahmah Makassar. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan para guru yang terlibat dalam proses implementasi kurikulum tersebut. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis tematik. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki peran kunci dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikulturalisme dalam pengajaran agama Islam. Mereka bertindak sebagai fasilitator yang menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran inklusif, mempromosikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang keberagaman budaya, serta memfasilitasi dialog antarbudaya di kelas. Selain itu, guru juga berperan sebagai model yang memberikan contoh positif dalam sikap toleransi, saling pengertian, dan menghormati perbedaan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peran guru dalam membangun pemahaman yang mendalam tentang multikulturalisme di kalangan siswa, sehingga mereka dapat menjadi warga negara yang inklusif dan toleran di masyarakat yang multikultural.

Abstract

This research aims to review the importance of interfaith collaboration in improving the quality of education, explore cooperation models that have been successful, and highlight challenges that need to be overcome. Education is the foundation for human and societal development. Through a literature review, this article identifies several successful cooperation models, such as interfaith student exchange programs, joint school construction, and inclusive curriculum development. The success of these models highlights the great potential of cooperation between religious communities in creating inclusive and diverse educational environments. However, despite the positive potential, there are also challenges that need to be overcome in strengthening cooperation between religious communities in the field of education. These challenges include differences in ideology and beliefs, lack of resources, and resistance to change. Therefore, a strong commitment is needed from the government, educational institutions and civil society to overcome these obstacles. Taking into account the importance of education in building an inclusive and peaceful society, cooperation between religious communities is the key to overcoming complex challenges in education. This article hopes to provide insight for policy makers, educational practitioners, and the general public about the importance of interfaith collaboration in achieving inclusive and sustainable educational goals. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau pentingnya kerjasama lintas agama dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, mengeksplorasi model kerjasama yang telah berhasil, dan menyoroti tantangan yang perlu diatasi. Pendidikan merupakan fondasi bagi perkembangan manusia dan masyarakat. Melalui tinjauan literatur, artikel ini mengidentifikasi beberapa model kerjasama yang berhasil, seperti program pertukaran pelajar lintas agama, pembangunan sekolah bersama, dan pengembangan kurikulum inklusif. Keberhasilan model-model ini menyoroti potensi besar dari kerjasama antar ummat beragama dalam menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang inklusif dan beragam. Namun, meskipun adanya potensi positif, terdapat pula tantangan yang perlu diatasi dalam memperkuat kerjasama antar ummat beragama dalam bidang pendidikan. Tantangan tersebut meliputi perbedaan ideologi dan keyakinan, kurangnya sumber daya, dan resistensi terhadap perubahan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan komitmen yang kuat dari pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, dan masyarakat sipil untuk mengatasi hambatan-hambatan tersebut. Dengan mempertimbangkan pentingnya pendidikan dalam membangun masyarakat yang inklusif dan damai, kerjasama antar ummat beragama menjadi kunci untuk mengatasi tantangan-tantangan kompleks dalam pendidikan. Artikel ini berharap dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pembuat kebijakan, praktisi pendidikan, dan masyarakat umum tentang pentingnya kolaborasi lintas agama dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The aim of this research article is to describe how the Multicultural Islamic Religious Education curriculum is managed at the Ar-Rahmah Makassar Integrated Islamic High School. Through a descriptive analysis approach, this article discusses the meaning, urgency and role, this article highlights the importance of students' awareness of the diversity of society. Multicultural Islamic Religious Education curriculum management aims to integrate Islamic values with the principles of multiculturalism in learning, so that students can understand and appreciate diversity in society. The urgency of this approach is emphasized in the context of globalization and the complexity of modern society which requires a deeper understanding of cultural and religious differences. Its role in raising students' awareness of the diversity of society includes, among other things, increasing tolerance, strengthening an inclusive Islamic identity, and preparing students to become cultured citizens. Thus, this article underlines the need to implement Multicultural Islamic Religious Education curriculum management as an effort to form an inclusive generation and strengthen social harmony in society. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian artikel ini untuk menggambarkan bagaimana manajemen kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam Multikultural di Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu Ar-Rahmah Makassar. Melalui pendekatan analisis deskriptif, artikel ini membahas tentang pengertian, urgensi, dan peranannya, artikel ini menyoroti pentingnya kesadaran siswa terhadap keberagaman masyarakat. Manajemen kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam Multikultural bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dengan prinsip-prinsip multikulturalisme dalam pembelajaran, sehingga siswa dapat memahami dan menghargai keberagaman dalam masyarakat. Urgensi pendekatan ini ditekankan dalam konteks globalisasi dan kompleksitas masyarakat modern yang membutuhkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang perbedaan budaya dan agama. Peranannya di dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran siswa terhadap keberagaman masyarakat, antara lain, meningkatkan toleransi, memperkuat identitas Islami yang inklusif, serta mempersiapkan siswa untuk menjadi warga negara yang berbudaya. Dengan demikian, artikel ini menggarisbawahi perlunya implementasi manajemen kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam Multikultural sebagai upaya untuk membentuk generasi yang inklusif dan memperkuat harmoni sosial dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

The research aims to examine interfaith marriages from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence and legal analysis, as well as exploring the challenges that arise in the multicultural context in Indonesia. Through an Islamic jurisprudence literature approach, this article explores the views of various scholars and schools of thought regarding the validity and conditions of interfaith marriages. In addition, Islamic legal analysis is used to understand how marriage is regulated in the laws and regulations that apply in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative methods by analyzing various sources of classical and contemporary jurisprudence literature, as well as relevant legal documents. The research results show that there are various views in Islamic jurisprudence regarding interfaith marriages, which reflect the dynamics of ulama's thinking in responding to social change. On the legal side, there is a tension between fiqh norms and state regulations which often requires a more flexible and contextual approach. This article concludes that a comprehensive understanding of Islamic jurisprudence and legal literature is needed to handle the issue of interfaith marriages fairly and inclusively in Indonesia. ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pernikahan beda agama dari perspektif fikih dan analisis hukum Islam, serta mengeksplorasi tantangan yang muncul dalam konteks multikultural di Indonesia. Melalui pendekatan literatur fikih Islam, artikel ini menelusuri pandangan berbagai ulama dan mazhab mengenai keabsahan dan syarat-syarat pernikahan beda agama. Selain itu, analisis hukum Islam digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana pernikahan ini diatur dalam undang-undang dan regulasi yang berlaku di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber literatur fikih klasik dan kontemporer, serta dokumen hukum yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beragam pandangan dalam fikih Islam mengenai pernikahan beda agama, yang mencerminkan dinamika pemikiran ulama dalam merespons perubahan sosial. Di sisi hukum, terdapat ketegangan antara norma-norma fikih dan regulasi negara yang sering kali membutuhkan pendekatan yang lebih fleksibel dan kontekstual. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemahaman yang komprehensif terhadap literatur fikih dan hukum Islam diperlukan untuk menangani isu pernikahan beda agama secara adil dan inklusif di Indonesia.

Abstract

This article is motivated by learning Arabic for class IV MI Miftahul Ulum Cepokolimo which has problems causing >50% to fail in the UAS. This article aims to describe the application of Arabic learning methods in class IV MI Miftahul Ulum Cepokolimo. This research uses a qualitative research approach with the type of case study research. With data sources from teachers, students, and the learning process. Collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data is collected, reduced, presented, and then concluded. The results showed that the Arabic language learning process only applied two learning methods, namely grammar translation and audiolingual with a ratio of >75%: <25%. The selection of learning methods is not in accordance with the competencies to be achieved. Learning Arabic uses limited methods and media, so the result is that students are less motivated in the learning process. The application of learning methods that are less systematic and thorough. Evaluation of learning at the end of the meeting is not always carried out.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of multicultural education in forming students who are broad-minded and able to contribute to creating a harmonious society. In the era of globalization, cultural diversity is a wealth that needs to be appreciated and protected. Multicultural education not only teaches students about diversity, but also equips them with the ability to interact positively with individuals from different backgrounds. Through this approach, students are expected to develop attitudes of tolerance, empathy and appreciation for differences. This article also examines various educational strategies that are effective in instilling multicultural values, such as the use of an inclusive curriculum, diverse extracurricular activities, and a school environment that supports intercultural interaction. The results of the implementation of multicultural education show that students with a multicultural outlook tend to be more able to resolve conflicts peacefully, are more creative in thinking, and have better social skills. Thus, multicultural education is an important key in building a harmonious and just society, where every individual feels valued and accepted. This article emphasizes that investment in multicultural education is an investment in a more peaceful and harmonious future. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas pentingnya pendidikan multikultural dalam membentuk peserta didik yang berwawasan luas dan mampu berkontribusi dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang harmonis. Di era globalisasi, keberagaman budaya menjadi salah satu kekayaan yang perlu dihargai dan dijaga. Pendidikan multikultural tidak hanya mengajarkan peserta didik tentang keberagaman, tetapi juga membekali mereka dengan kemampuan untuk berinteraksi secara positif dengan individu dari latar belakang yang berbeda. Melalui pendekatan ini, peserta didik diharapkan dapat mengembangkan sikap toleransi, empati, dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Artikel ini juga mengkaji berbagai strategi pendidikan yang efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai multikultural, seperti penggunaan kurikulum yang inklusif, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang beragam, serta lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung interaksi antarbudaya. Hasil dari implementasi pendidikan multikultural menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik yang berwawasan multikultural cenderung lebih mampu memecahkan konflik secara damai, lebih kreatif dalam berpikir, dan memiliki keterampilan sosial yang lebih baik. Dengan demikian, pendidikan multikultural menjadi kunci penting dalam membangun masyarakat yang harmonis dan berkeadilan, di mana setiap individu merasa dihargai dan diterima. Artikel ini menekankan bahwa investasi dalam pendidikan multikultural adalah investasi dalam masa depan yang lebih damai dan harmonis.
