Abstract

This research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the photosynthesis process in plants and how environmental factors such as light can be manipulated to optimize plant productivity. The research method used is a qualitative method with four different treatments. The first treatment involves placing Hydrilla plants and water in the sun. The second treatment involved Hydrilla plants and water placed in a dark room. The third treatment used Hydrilla plants and water placed under LED lights. The fourth treatment used Hydrilla plants and water under incandescent light. The results show that the light reaction will affect the rate of photosynthesis. This research uses Hydrilla verticillata plants, water, LED lights and incandescent lights as the main ingredients. The tools used include a glass funnel, 500 cc glass beaker, wire hook, thread, light fitting and test tube.

Abstract

Climate change refers to changes in the pattern and intensity of climate elements over a specific period, typically compared to a 30-year average. These changes can include shifts in average weather conditions or changes in the distribution of weather events. This research was conducted around Jl. Pancing, Medan, North Sumatra, on December 6, 2024, with the aim of analyzing the impact of climate change on the growth of various plant species in urban areas. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The results show that some plants in the area demonstrate a good ability to adapt to fluctuating temperature, rainfall, and light intensity. Plants such as leucaena, Canna indica, Monoon longifolium, and Bougainvillea glabra exhibit adaptation mechanisms in terms of morphology, physiology, and ecology, enabling them to survive and grow under changing weather conditions due to climate change.

This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The sampling technique is Random Sampling. The sample in this study were 19 Tadris Biology students at UIN-SU. Data collection techniques are through tests and non-tests. The tests are in the form of description questions to measure symbolic abilities, as well as students' understanding of "The Influence of Organized Activeness on Academic Achievement of Biology Students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra". Non-test techniques in the form of questionnaires and closed interviews, namely using the Google Form. The benefits obtained from being active in the organization apart from the influence on academic achievement are adding many useful relationships and increasing a sense of responsibility and good teamwork and adding new experiences that are not obtained in college lessons, and also affecting ourselves for example skill development public speaking, can develop self-potential, train sensitivity to the surrounding environment and increase a sense of concern for others as well as fostering productive, innovative, creative and critical abilities.
