Abstract

These community service activities were conduted at Tambak Rejo Village, Padang Jaya District, North Bengkulu Regency, towards local residences in cooperation with students from Chemistry Education Department, University of Bengkulu, April 27th, 2025. Local residences were very enthusiast with the activities which are socialization of the importance of sustanability act; cleaning activity of waste at local area, and tree restoration as an act of afforestation. These activities are aim to provide green lanscape that can prevent erotion by maintaning the balance between water system and soil strangulation. These act followed the principles of green chemistry concept toward sustainability. Tambak Rejo Village is an areal with vast open field and quite suceptible to draught in dry season. This afforestation project aim to prevent draught, as well as provide green, and beautiful landscape for local residence. These community service activities were done in several steps which are socialization towards local residence, the act of cleaning of local waste, and planting several trees in prepared land. Both local residences and students from Chemistry Education Study Program involved directly in all activities. Keywords: green chemistry, afforestation, sustainability

Abstract

This study aims to determine the problems of implementing business education in Vocational High Schools as an implementation of entrepreneurship at the Vocational High School level. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting and analyzing journals related to keywords. Based on the literature study conducted, it was found that there was sufficient understanding of SMK students in the concept of business education, this was due to the existence of government programs that support and provide facilities for entrepreneurship learning in educational institutions, especially SMKs. In addition to this, the teaching staff also have skills in their fields, but it is still very unfortunate that not many teaching staff have their own business practices, so they are still based on books and other people's experiences. From this, it can motivate students to look for reference materials related to entrepreneurial knowledge and be able to see business opportunities well. Based on the analysis of the subject syllabus on entrepreneurship subjects, the material being taught is very much in line with current conditions and the expected competencies are clear. In addition, learning activities are project-based.

Abstract

Virtue Funds and Zakat Funds are referred to as trusts in the form of deposited funds that will be distributed to parties entitled to receive zakat or to social institutions. Before the funds are distributed, it will add to the value of assets in Islamic banks. The purpose of this report analysis is to adjust the report on the benevolence fund of Bank Syariah Indonesia in the period from January to June with the report stated in PSAK No. 101. This analysis uses a qualitative method that reveals the income of the benevolence fund at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The results showed that the number of Qardhul Hasan funds or sources of benevolence funds at Bank Syariah Indonesia in 2020 was more than in the early 2021 period. Bank Syariah Indonesia distributed these benevolent funds for social activities, such as donations for natural disasters, donations for religious activities, institutional development assistance. education, construction of places of worship, and so on.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the practice of child marriage, which is often legitimized through a literal reading of Islamic texts, particularly the Qur’an and Hadith. Such textual interpretations frequently disregard the Islamic ethical framework that emphasizes justice, dignity, and the protection of children. This study is qualitative in nature, employing library research and utilizing a textual-contextual analysis method. It adopts the mubādalah perspective, a hermeneutic framework that emphasizes reciprocity, equality, and mutual responsibility. This article reinterprets hadiths regarding marriage, specifically the terms syabāb (youth) and al-ba’ah (capacity). The analysis reveals that these terms require readiness, consent, and equal capacity between men and women as dignified subjects. In the context of child marriage, this readiness is clearly not met, as girls face biological, psychological, and social limitations that pose risks of maternal and infant mortality, school dropout, and a cycle of poverty. The research findings affirm that child marriage contradicts the principles of martabah (dignity), ‘adālah (justice), and maṣlaḥah (public interest). The contribution of this study is to offer a reinterpretation of hadith based on humanistic Islam that rejects child marriage, as well as to reaffirm Islam as a source of protection, equality, and respect for human dignity

Abstract

Hair styling is an important part of the beauty field that aims to enhance a person's appearance and self-confidence. One of the techniques commonly used in hair styling is hair curling. However, in practice, the curls often do not last long. Therefore, a curling technique that can produce longer-lasting curls is needed, one of which is the double curling technique. This study aims to analyze the application of the double hair curling technique in improving the durability of curl shapes. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study was conducted on Wednesday, March 12, 2026, at Asnah Salon, Medan Perjuangan, with the salon owner as the research subject. The results show that the double curling technique, which is carried out through two stages of curling, can produce stronger, more voluminous, and longer-lasting curls compared to the conventional single curling technique. Therefore, the double curling technique can be an alternative hair styling method to produce more durable curls.

Abstract

The merariq tradition is one of the traditional marriage customs of the Sasak community that continues to be preserved as part of local cultural identity. However, modernization has brought various changes to its implementation and meaning. This study aims to analyze the transformation of the merariq tradition amid modernization in Praya society and identify the factors influencing these changes. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving traditional leaders, religious leaders, local communities, couples who practiced merariq, and Sasak youth. The findings indicate that the merariq tradition has undergone transformations in terms of implementation procedures, social values, and cultural meanings. Factors influencing these transformations include educational advancement, technological and communication developments, religious understanding, socio-economic conditions, and globalization. Despite these changes, the merariq tradition remains preserved as a cultural identity of the Sasak community through adaptations to modern developments without losing its essential cultural values.
