The results showed that there was an influence of authoritarian leadership style on the performance of health workers at Puskesmas Oesapa Kupang seen from the linear regression equation Y = 2.606 - 0.305X and the significance value was 0.005 < 0.05. There is an influence of democratic leadership style on the performance of health workers at Puskesmas Oesapa Kupang seen from the linear regression equation Y = -1.241 + 1.121X and significance value = 0.007 < 0.05. And there is no influence of free control leadership style on the performance of health workers at the Oesapa Kupang Health Center with a significance value of 0.278 > 0.05. Abstract

One of the efforts to improve the health status of the community is to encourage the utilization of health services. The number of patient visits at Lengkosambi Health Center fluctuates from 2021 to 2023, reflecting the influence of various factors such as predispositions, enablers, and needs in determining health service utilization. One factor that influences the utilization of these services is the community's perception of illness. People may feel healthy and do not need regular check-ups or treatment, even though they have unrecognized health risks. This study aims to determine the factors that influence health service utilization in the working area of Lengkosambi Health Center in 2024. This was an analytic survey study with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 5,023 people with a sample of 95 people selected through simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed that insurance ownership (p=0.002), availability of health workers (p=0.003), and perception of illness (p=0.005) had a significant influence on the utilization of health services at Lengkosambi Health Center. In contrast, accessibility (p=0.163) did not show a significant effect. Therefore, health workers at health center are advised to increase education to the community regarding the correct concept of health and illness and the importance of utilizing health services, even for complaints that are considered mild.

Abstract

Elderly Posyandu is a community-based health service that emphasizes promotive and preventive care for older adults. However, its utilization remains low in some areas. According to data from Noemuke Health Center, the attendance rate at Elderly Posyandu was 60% in 2021, increased to 70% in 2022, but sharply declined to 40% in 2023, falling far below the minimum service standard of 80%. This study aims to identify the factors associated with the utilization of Elderly Posyandu in the working area of Noemuke Health Center in 2024. This is a quantitative study using an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design. A total of 96 respondents were selected through simple random sampling from a population of 5,023 elderly individuals. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed with univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test at a significance level of 0.05. The univariate analysis showed that most respondents had low knowledge (57.3%), negative attitudes (59.4%), lacked family support (58.3%), and lived far from the Posyandu (69.8%). The bivariate analysis found significant relationships between knowledge, attitude, family support, and distance to services with the utilization of Elderly Posyandu (p < 0.05). It is recommended that health centers improve regular education and outreach to both the elderly and their families, especially in remote areas. Family involvement and community engagement are also crucial to enhance participation. Further research should explore other potential factors such as socioeconomic status and the role of community leaders in influencing the utilization of Elderly Posyandu.

Abstract

Chronic disease is a major health problem that causes death worldwide, one of which is hypertension. Based on data from the Oesapa Health Center, the number of hypertension cases in 2024 was recorded at 58.96%, so it has not yet reached the set target. This study aims to determine the review of the implementation of the chronic disease management program (Prolanis) in the working area of Puskesmas Oesapa. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews with 4 informants. The results of this study indicate that 1) input, the quantity of health workers is sufficient. In quality, health workers have competencies equipped with STRs, funds budgeted for prolanis activities are purely from BPJS, medical devices are still lacking, have SOPs on prolanis program services. 2) Process, before carrying out activities, a meeting is held first for planning the prolanis program, the implementation of activities runs according to the SOP, monitoring of recording and reporting is not optimal so that program coverage has not reached the set target. 3) Output, the Prolanis Program is right on target but the program coverage has not yet reached the predetermined indicators. The results of this study suggest that health workers must make home visits and monitor prolanis participants to routinely consume the drugs given and provide an understanding of the importance of maintaining a good and healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, often leading to illness, disability, and death. Sikumana Health Center, Kupang City, recorded the highest TB cases with 140 cases in 2023, indicating that the control program has not been fully effective. This study aimed to describe the planning of the TB control program at the health center in 2023. A qualitative approach was used through in-depth interviews and documentation, involving four informants. Data were analyzed through collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings show that human resources in the TB clinic are still limited, causing service gaps when the person in charge is absent. Facilities and infrastructure are adequate, and the planning stages—preparation, situation analysis, problem formulation, and drafting of RUK and RPK—have been carried out properly. However, challenges such as wide service coverage and community stigma that TB is hereditary may hinder treatment. The output consists of RUK and RPK documents, and the health center needs to strengthen education and counseling to improve public knowledge about TB.

In the process variable, the preparation of the program plan is carried out by the planning team at the Puskesmas every year. There is also a way to determine the status of people with ARI. In addition, there is monitoring of the ARI prevention program which is carried out every 3 months and there is mandatory recording and reporting every month and every year. The Output variable shows that there are strategies so that the program is right on target. In the implementation of the program, there are factors that influence. To improve the human resources of health workers at the Puskesmas, special training is always held to improve the human resources of health workers. The conclusion of this research is that inadequate input affects the process so that the output of ARI disease management at Puskesmas Sikumana has not achieved success. Facilities and infrastructure should be provided, especially ventilators to support the implementation of the ARI program.
