Abstract

Improving Social Studies Learning Outcomes Through the Card Sort Method for Class V Elementary School 2 Tongkuno, Muna Regency. Thesis. Elementary school teacher education major. Faculty of teacher training and education, University of Muhammadiyah Makassar. Supervisor I Muhammad Nawir and advisor II Rubianto.The main problem in this study is the low social studies learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Tongkuno, Muna Regency. The purpose of this study was to improve social studies learning outcomes at Tongkuno 2 Public Elementary School, Muna Regency.This type of research is classroom action research (CAR), which consists of two cycles and each cycle is held in three meetings. Research procedures include planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Tongkuno, Muna Regency, for the 2022/2023 academic year, with a total of 20 students. 9 men and 11 women. Data collection techniques through observation techniques, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out through descriptive statistics.The results showed that there was an increase in social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Tongkuno, Muna Regency. Seen in the pre-cycle the average value obtained was 61 with a classical completeness percentage of 35% then in the first cycle the average value obtained was 64.75 with a classical completeness percentage of 35% and in the second cycle it increased with an average value 83.5 with a classical completeness percentage of 90%.From the results of this analysis it was concluded that using the Card Sort method could improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Tongkuno, Muna Regency.

Abstract

Social Study learning will show satisfactory results, if the teacher is able to choose the right media in teaching. So that students have an interest and have high activity to ask in accordance with the expectations of students and teachers, one of which is in the process of delivering social studies lessons using animated film media to improve student learning. Social animated film media is one of social studies teaching media that is used to explain some natural and other phenomena. With this media students know more and are clear about the concepts of social studies learning and its content. Likewise students in the teaching-learning process need to get the learning process so that their learning achievement increases. This study describes social animated films and students' activeness in social studies learning. The results of this study through observation, interviews with fourth grade teachers and fourth grade students at SDI Borisallo, Gowa Regency resulted that students liked learning by using social animated films rather than not using them. They also have a high curiosity about new things and find it interesting after carrying out learning with the help of social animated films. Students also rarely use learning media in social studies lessons, so that if the teacher uses media in learning, students will feel happy and more enthusiastic and active in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is whether there is an effect of using interactive PowerPoint learning media on fourth grade students' interest in learning in social studies subjects at SD Inpres Parang, Ulu Ere District, Bantaeng Regency. Meanwhile, the aim of the research carried out was to determine the effect of using interactive power point learning media on fourth grade students' interest in learning in social studies subjects at SD Inpres Paranga District. Ulu Ere District. Bantaeng. This type of research is pre-experimental research with a quantitative approach. The sample in this research was fourth grade students at SD Inpres Paranga, Ulu Ere District, Bantaeng Regency. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the use of interactive power point media on the learning interest of fourth grade students at SD Paranga Presidential Instruction, District. Ulu Ere Bantaeng Regency. The design used in this experimental research is one group pretest-posttest design. This can be seen from the comparison between the pre-test and post-test scores. The average pre-test score obtained was 55.47. The average score was in the 55-64 interval which was included in the medium category. However. The average posttest value obtained was 81.94 which was in the 65-84 interval, which means it was in the high category. The research results were obtained by researchers using at distribution table with a significance level of a = 0.05 and d. b = N-1 =17-1=16 then we get t0.05 = 1.024. After obtaining t Count = 10.45 and t Table = 1.024, we get t Count > t Table or 10.45 > 1.024 so it can be concluded that the use of Interactive Power Point Media has an effect on the learning interest of class IV students at SD Inpres Paranga District. Ulu Ure District. Bantaeng. So it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant difference in the influence of the use of interactive power point media on interest in learning social studies among fourth grade students at SD Inpres Paranga District. Ulu Ere District. Bantaeng.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SD Inpres Kampung Mejang in Bontonompo District, Gowa Regency. This study aims to determine the increase in social studies learning outcomes through the application of the snowball throwing model to fifth grade students at SD Inpres Kampung Mejang in Bontonompo District, Gowa Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles and each cycle is held in three meetings. Each cycle in this study went through 4 stages, namely, the planning stage, the implementation stage, the observation stage, and the reflection stage. The subjects in this study were 28 grade V students of SD Inpres Kampung Mejang. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the analysis of learning achievement test data in cycle I, out of 28 students, only 7 students passed with a learning completeness percentage of 25% and those who did not meet the minimum completeness criteria (KKM = 70) were 21 students with a learning completeness percentage of 75% with an average score overall students in cycle I is 58.85. In cycle II the number of students who passed increased to 24 students with a complete learning percentage of 85.71% and the number of students who did not meet the KKM was 4 students with a percentage of 14.28% with an average overall student score in cycle II of 80.78. The conclusion in this study is that through the application of the snowball throwing model it can improve social studies learning outcomes in fifth grade students at SD Inpres Kampung Mejang in Bontonompo District, Gowa Regency.
