Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discover various moral principles that can be instilled by teachers outside the classroom, methods that can be used by teachers to teach students character, and obstacles to teaching character in this context. This qualitative study uses interviews, observations, and written notes. Interactive data analysis includes collection, presentation, reduction and drawing conclusions. This research found that scout involvement outside the classroom can help form nine traits, namely commitment to religious beliefs, discipline, caring, concern for the environment, tolerance, honesty, creativity, independence and responsibility. There are four scouting approaches that can help change a child's personality during scout education. Both types of group systems, working together and competing, encourage students to be loyal and able to train themselves to be responsible people, and value time more to complete tasks. Three interesting and challenging activities stimulate students' interest so they try to do it themselves. Learning through action also makes it easier for students to gain knowledge so they can quickly analyze and understand what they learn. The four open environment activities teach children to be independent, survive, adapt, and follow rules. Schools must face challenges to children's character development, including factors such as unfavorable societal influences, the influence of globalization, and the level of parental education.

Abstract

The role of parents in supporting children's learning in the home environment has a substantial impact on children's academic, emotional, and social progress. Starting from the early stages of development, parents' involvement in supporting their children's learning process at home, along with the strategies they implement, plays a crucial role in achieving this goal efficiently. This research applies the literature study method to explore how parents inspire their children to study at home. The research results emphasize the urgency of the role of parents in triggering children's enthusiasm for learning in the home environment. They are not only providers of learning materials, but also as models and facilitators who influence their children's attitudes and enthusiasm for learning. These findings are in line with learning motivation theories which highlight the influence of social and environmental factors in shaping children's enthusiasm for learning internally and externally. Thus, this research emphasizes that parents have an important role in shaping children's learning attitudes and behavior at home. Therefore, it is important for parents to understand their role in stimulating children's enthusiasm for learning at home and to get support in improving the skills needed in this regard.purpose.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian in elementary schools, especially in lower grades, faces various obstacles. This problem includes student learning outcomes that have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) and monotonous teaching methods. This study aims to explore the obstacles teachers face during learning and the strategies they use at At-Taufiq Private Elementary School. The data collection method involved interviews with class I, II, and III teachers. The findings show that the direct learning strategies used, such as the lecture method, are not effective because they make students feel bored. Alternative strategies such as the use of learning media such as storybooks and infocus are recommended to increase students' interest in learning. This research aims to explore the obstacles faced in learning Indonesian in the lower grades of At-Taufiq Private Elementary School and identify effective learning strategies to overcome these problems.
