Abstract

Technology can be used to find solutions to learning problems. The learning problems encountered were students who were active at SMPN 2 Sewon on descriptive text material. Teachers need to know the characteristics of students to solve problems. One of the uses of technology to overcome this problem is by looking for the characteristics of students and the results of using the quizizz application in learning descriptive text in class VII E SMPN 2 Sewon. The aims are (a) to find out the characteristics of students and (b) to find out the learning outcomes with the Quizizz application. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method as well as observation and interview techniques, and notes to find data. The results of the data were processed and analyzed according to qualitative descriptive research. The results of the study found that the characteristics of students have a kinesthetic learning style. In addition, it was concluded that the use of the Quizizz application could have a major effect on learning descriptive text in class VII E of SMPN 2 Sewon. The average value reaches 95 when using the quizizz application with a kinesthetic learning style approach.

Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0 which stands out for its technology, learning activities must also use learning innovations. One of these learning activities is a cognitive diagnostic assessment. The assessment aims to identify the basic abilities, strengths, and abilities of students. In learning the new paradigm, diagnostic assessment has an important role, one of which is as material for designing future learning. This study aims to describe the use of the Wordwall website-based application used for cognitive diagnostic assessment. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in the study were obtained from questionnaires distributed to students randomly. The data source is class VII students of SMP Negeri 34 Semarang. In this study it was shown the results of his research, namely the use of Wordwall was able to represent the abilities of students with a percentage of 75.8%. In addition, the use of Wordwall is able to give a pleasant impression to students with a percentage of 100%. All respondents also responded that the use of Wordwall was able to attract students' interest in learning the material to be studied. ‎

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat literasi peserta didik di Indonesia pada uji PISA. Guru yang belum mampu menerapkan metode dan strategi belajar dengan tepat karena tidak dilakukannya asesmen diagnostik. Asesmen diagnostik belum menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk mendiagnosis karakteristik peserta didik. Asesmen ini juga dianggap cukup menyita waktu terkait pemerolehan dan pengolahan data. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan teknologi pendidikan yang dapat mengakselerasi upaya penyelenggaraan asesmen diagnostik. Pemanfaatan teknologi yang dimaksud adalah Google Form. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi teknik. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa ada empat tahap pemanfaatan Google Form, yaitu perencanaan, pembuatan, penyebaran, dan pengelolaan data. Google Form memiliki kelebihan dalam hal kemudahan pengoperasian, penyebaran, pengolahan data, dan aksesibilitas. Google Form menjadi pilihan yang sangat tepat bagi guru untuk melakukan asesmen diagnostik, sebab keefektivan dan keefisiensian penggunaannya.
