Abstract

The values contained in the mamapas lewu tradition include willingness to sacrifice, mutual cooperation, respect for God, mutual cooperation, expression of gratitude, self-purification, self-control, eliminating envy, envy and revenge and loyalty to promises. In context, other tribes may just be making small talk as an effort to bring closer relations with others. But the Dayak people need free space to express their culture and traditions. In other words, the Dayak tribe needs traditions to create space for others. If we look closely, each tribe has a different perception of seeing the same reality regarding the placement of themselves towards other people. Dayak people tend to distance themselves and withdraw, while other tribes tend to eliminate distance at the level of social relations. In this way, eating lewu can eliminate social distance between people in society. The aim of the tolerance values contained in the mamapas lewu tradition is that people adapt to a heterogeneous environment and can adapt and relativize their own views on ethnicity and religion, thereby giving space to others. In this way, mamapas lewu can be interpreted as restoring balance between humans and nature, fellow humans and humans with God.

Abstract

The restoration of graves in the GKE congregation in Tanjung Riu Village, also known as secondary burials, is almost similar to the secondary burial of the Ngaju Dayak people who are Kaharingan Hindus, which is called the tiwah ceremony. Tanjung Riu GKE congregation offers an alternative cultural choice (tomb restoration) amidst the established culture, namely tiwah. The practice of restoring tombs became problematic when it was accused by some priests from the Kalimantan Evangelical Church (GKE) of being a form of syncretism. In order not to fall into syncretism, there needs to be a theological review that must bear two models of cross-cultural mission or two options together; This means that the ritual of tomb restoration must show loyalty to the Bible and at the same time be culturally relevant without falling into dualism, namely syncretism and relativism. The research findings show that there is a clash of understanding between the congregation and the church, between theocentric and totalitarian understandings, and while the congregation sees God in the restoration of the tomb as a form of naturalistic theism, it is only suitable in terms of the congregation's immanence.

Abstract

Hurung Bunut Village is one of the tourist villages in Gunung Mas Regency which was inaugurated in 2016. With the Sapta Pesona label in Hurung Bunut village, the community is invited to participate in regional development. One of the problems faced by the Hurung Bunut village community is brand knowledge. This is evidenced by the lack of special packaging used by the public to market cassava chips, banana chips and Kalulut honey, as well as the lack of social media accounts to promote them. The service task carried out by the Community Service (PkM) team of the Missiology Study Program of the Palangka Raya State Christian Institute focuses on packaging production and the use of social media to promote brands in Hurung Bunut Village. The success of a product brand in the market is supported by its packaging. One of the factors that determine the success of a product brand in the market is supported by packaging aesthetics, packaging design, and promotional materials. In addition, the success of a product in the market depends on how much people know about a product, including through packaging and brand marketing communications on social media. The methodology the Community Service Team uses for the Misiology degree program is the ABCD approach. Through this socialization, Hurung Bunut Village can independently and sustainably promote the brand by applying the knowledge gained from the training provided to achieve the dream of becoming Sapta Pesona.
