Abstract

Adapting to technological advancements is a necessity; however, not all schools have the necessary resources, and not all teachers and students are proficient in using them, including those at SMP Negeri 1 Buntut Bali in Katingan Regency. Therefore, it is crucial for students from the National KKN (Community Service Program) on Religious Moderation to assist in the creation and functionalization of a website at SMP Negeri 1 Buntut Bali, where the teachers and students practice Islam, Christianity, and Hinduism, to help maintain and strengthen religious moderation in Buntut Bali village. The service approach used is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) model, involving the community selected through purposive sampling, including all teachers and students at SMP Negeri 1 Buntut Bali. The results of this service during the mentoring of the school's website creation, named EAR.COM (Educated and Religious), have been greatly beneficial to the school. To ensure the website's continued functionality, the facilitators conducted training for all teachers of different religions at SMPN 1 Desa Buntut Bali on using the website to develop materials by adding images, videos, and other content. The website was designed to be simple and easily accessible by students and can be used flexibly as it can be accessed even outside the school, making it easier for teachers to guide students in its use. This has enabled both teachers and students to deepen their understanding of religious moderation through the available materials on the website.

Abstract

Community Service Activities were carried out in Tewang Darayu Village, Pulau Malan District, Katingan Regency. This activity aims to be a form of strengthening religious moderation for the community in Tewang Darayu village. This strengthening can increase the awareness of the Tewang Darayu village community in building harmonious relations between religions. Apart from that, it can strengthen the spiritual aspect of religion among the community as a whole as part of efforts to maintain religious moderation which is born from the diverse realities of life in Tewang Darayu village. This activity uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method by emphasizing the strengths possessed by the Tewang Derayu village community. The impact obtained from this activity is that the Tewang Derayu village community experienced increased knowledge and were able to implement Religious Moderation indicators in socio-cultural dynamics based on a humanist attitude to life. Apart from that, Tewang Derayu village can also be a model model for surrounding villages in implementing the values of Religious Moderation. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk sebagai bentuk penguatan moderasi beragama bagi masyarakat di desa Tewang Darayu. Adapun penguatan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat desa Tewang Darayu dalam membangun harmoni hubungan antar agama. Selain itu, dapat memperkuat dimensi aspek spiritual dalam beragama di antara masyarakat secara keseluruhan sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk menjaga moderasi beragama yang lahir dari realitas kehidupan yang beragam di desa Tewang Darayu. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) dengan menekankan pada kekuatan yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat desa Tewang Derayu. Dampak yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan ini yaitu masyarakat desa Tewang Derayu mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan serta mampu mengimplementasikan indikator-indikator Moderasi Beragama dalam dinamika sosial budaya yang didasarkan pada sikap hidup humanis. Selain itu, desa Tewang Derayu juga dapat menjadi model percontohan bagi desa-desa sekitar dalam implementasi nilai-nilai dari Moderasi Beragama.Kata Kunci: moderasi beragama; penguatan; relasi agama

Abstract

Hurung Bunut Village is one of the tourist villages in Gunung Mas Regency which was inaugurated in 2016. With the Sapta Pesona label in Hurung Bunut village, the community is invited to participate in regional development. One of the problems faced by the Hurung Bunut village community is brand knowledge. This is evidenced by the lack of special packaging used by the public to market cassava chips, banana chips and Kalulut honey, as well as the lack of social media accounts to promote them. The service task carried out by the Community Service (PkM) team of the Missiology Study Program of the Palangka Raya State Christian Institute focuses on packaging production and the use of social media to promote brands in Hurung Bunut Village. The success of a product brand in the market is supported by its packaging. One of the factors that determine the success of a product brand in the market is supported by packaging aesthetics, packaging design, and promotional materials. In addition, the success of a product in the market depends on how much people know about a product, including through packaging and brand marketing communications on social media. The methodology the Community Service Team uses for the Misiology degree program is the ABCD approach. Through this socialization, Hurung Bunut Village can independently and sustainably promote the brand by applying the knowledge gained from the training provided to achieve the dream of becoming Sapta Pesona.

Abstract

Implementing WDEP Group Counseling to Reduce Intolerance and Foster Religious Moderation   Abstract Knowledge regarding religious attitudes that influence social life in schools is essential to be conveyed, not only through religious education subjects but also through activities that promote religious tolerance. This is conducted to realize religious moderation. Group counseling services using the WDEP technique are expected to be a solution to prevent intolerance and enhance students' ability to be tolerant amidst religious diversity. This study employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology. The pretest results showed a high level of reduced intolerance in building religious moderation among students: 4 students (80%) in group 1, 1 student (20%) in group 2, and 2 students (40%) in group 3. Meanwhile, the posttest results indicated increased scores: 5 students (100%) in group 1, 3 students (60%) in group 2, and 3 students (60%) in group 3. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the WDEP technique group counseling prototype design has proven to be effective and feasible in reducing intolerance at SMAN 2. The implementation of the collaboratively designed WDEP technique counseling service resulted in the development of a WDEP Technique Group Counseling Service Guidebook.

Abstract

The Palangka Raya City community, initially dominated by the Dayak Ngaju community, now tends to be more diverse. However, this diversity is now disturbed, especially by the issue of religious harmony, where several internal conflicts have occurred between religious communities. Based on this phenomenon, this research examines important elements that can help build unity and relations between religious communities in the Dayak Ngaju community in Palangka Raya. In this research, data collection was carried out through interviews and documentation studies. The study results indicate that six main factors contribute to increasing harmony: local customs and culture, education and counseling, legitimacy and credibility of traditional and religious figures, relations between religious communities and cultures, social and political conditions, and leadership with integrity. These factors complement each other in maintaining a balance between local traditions and the challenges of modernization so that the Dayak Ngaju community can maintain harmony amidst diversity. Collaboration between the government, Damang, and religious figures is the main key to preventing conflict and strengthening social stability. This research contributes to the formulation of national and regional policies related to efforts to increase harmony and mitigate potential conflicts from a socio-cultural perspective.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the social competence of Christian Religious Education teachers in improving the affective domain of students in class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Manuhing. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study stated that the social competence of PAK teachers in class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Manuhing is very important so that Christian Religious Education teachers can manage emotions when teaching in class, can understand students in class, can provide positive self-identity for students, can increase knowledge and understanding school culture, can adopt social values, can behave and act objectively, can adapt to students in class, and can build good communication relationships with students in class. Then, the social competence of Christian Religious Education teachers in improving the affective domain of students in class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Manuhing, namely the teacher builds good communication relationships and understands students with students, understands students' emotions, and tries to help students to be able to live according to values and Christian character.

Abstract

Urban communities living in the Mendawai Social Complex, Palangka Raya City are facing various economic challenges, especially income instability due to odd jobs such as construction workers and traditional miners. Community Service (PKM) activities use the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Considering the large area of the PKM location, researchers invite active participation from the GKE Panenga Congregation, which also experiences the same economic problems, to find solutions to these problems. The purpose of this PKM activity is to improve community welfare through three main aspects, namely independence, social capital, and life skills. The results of this PKM activity show that participants can find references for independent businesses that have the potential to increase income through life skills training in the culinary field. Participants also obtain solutions in managing business groups so that they can be sustainable through business coordination training provided by practitioners. Then, there is a re-strengthening of the social capital of the participants through solutions to social problems provided during the PKM activity. In addition, another quite prominent result of this PKM activity is that it not only has a positive impact on the participants but also on the Mendawai Social Complex community, namely the existence of a reference for a business model that can be developed independently. At the end of this PKM activity which uses the Community Based Development (CBD) approach and produces effective community empowerment activities, the researcher suggests that both the government and other private parties also use the same approach to the Mendawai Social Complex community, or other urban communities who are trapped in poverty.

Abstract

Nusantara Real Work Lecture Program - Religious Moderation (KKN NMB) for Religious Universities in 2023 in Kab. Katingan takes the form of organizing community arts and culture performances for residents of the Malan Island Transmigration Settlement Unit (UPT), Buntut Village, Bali District. Malan Island. The people of UPT Malan Island come from Javanese, Sundanese, Batak, Dayak and Flores ethnic groups who have the potential for regional artistic and cultural diversity, but have not been actively displayed in public performances for a long time. The activity implementation method used Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), namely students identify and look for opportunities for assets owned by the community and then develop and empower them. This method started from an introduction where students approach residents and enter various fields including religion, education and health. Then, identified existing asset opportunities and continue implementing the work program. Every cultural asset owned by the community is developed through cultural arts performances on the eve of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day celebration on August 17 2023. This cultural arts performance activity aimed to bring together and develop a sense of tolerance and respect for local cultural diversity to strengthen religious moderation for the community at UPT Malan Island. This cultural parade activity brought together people who had different principles and did not want to join SP-1 and SP-2 UPT Malan Island. People from various tribes feel proud and touched because their cultural arts are displayed and appreciated by other communities in an atmosphere of harmony.

Abstract

Pelatihan sistem bertanam secara hidroponik direalisasikan melalui kegiatan KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) Nusantara Moderasi Beragama di desa Buntut Bali. Hal ini sebagai upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat sekaligus upaya penguatan moderasi beragama. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). Melalui metode ini, masyarakat menjadi pelaku dan penentu utama dalam upaya pembangunan di lingkungan melalui bertanam secara hidroponik. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui serta memberdayakan setiap potensi dan aset yang dimiliki masyarakat. Pelatihan ini diselenggarakan untuk mengatasi persoalan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat petani dengan kondisi lokasi lahan pertanian yang jauh. Ilmu pengetahuan yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan ini adalah pengenalan tentang hidroponik sekaligus keterampilan melalui pelatihan bertanam secara hidroponik. Selain itu, pelatihan ini sebagai kegiatan kreatif-kolaboratif antar umat beragama. Hal ini berdampak pada hubungan sosial masyarakat beragama yang hidup berdampingan dan harmonis. Dengan demikian, konteks masyarakat yang beragam dalam bentuk penghayatan kepada Tuhan, terus diperkuat dalam kebersamaan yang saling memberdayakan.
