Abstract

Feelings of inadequacy of learners when facing the problem of environmental damage life that occurs in everyday life can create possible conditions and situations hinder students from doing creative thinking process. Lack of self-confidence students to their abilities as well is an influencing factor creative thinking abilities. This research aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on students’ creative thinking abilities grade VIII on environmental damage material. This research is a quantitative research with statistical test using simple linear regression. The research population was grade VIII students of Junior High School 5 Ponorogo 2022/2023 academic year. Sample that used were grade VIII A and VIII H. Instruments used to collect data in the form of creative thinking ability test instrument on the material environmental damage and self-efficacy scale questionnaire. The results this study are there significant effect between self-efficacy and students’ creative thinking abilities. Self-efficacy is also perfectly and positively correlated with students’ creative thinking abilities contributed as much as 71,2% where the remaining 28,8% influenced by other variables that do not exist in this research. Thus, self-efficacy affects creative thinking ability. This shows the importance of having high self-efficacy, especially in teaching and learning activities

Abstract

The existence of technological developments accompanied by the demands of the times, requires the quality of education that is effective and efficient for the realization of advanced human resources. Therefore Indonesia plans to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to address education problems. One of the things that can be done is through the development of animated video-based learning media through the plotagon application. The existence of animated video learning media is expected to improve the quality of student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the plotagon animated video learning media on science subjects in junior high school class IX on biotechnology in the food sector. The method used in this research is R&D (Research and Development), which is a method that can produce certain products and is tested for its effectiveness through the development of science learning media in the form of biotechnology animation videos. The results of this study indicate that animated video-based learning media through the plotagon application are preferred by students because they are easy to understand. So it can be concluded that if the animated video of the plotagon is used as a learning medium and applied in the learning process, it can improve the quality of learning outcomes and the quality of education in the future.
