Abstract

This study aims to synthesize the effect of ethnomathematics learning on students' mathematical thinking abilities. Data were obtained from primary studies in the form of journals in the 2018-2023 range. Six studies that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed using JASP 0.17.3 software. The results showed that ethnomathematics learning had a very strong influence on students' mathematical thinking abilities (gRE= 1,714; 95% CI [0,983; 2,446]; p 0,001). when compared to traditional learning. As for the results of the analysis of the moderator variable, it shows that the engagement variable (Qb = 7,841; p = 0,005) and education level (Qb = 27,505; p = 0,000) have a significant influence on the effectiveness of ethnomathematics learning on mathematical thinking skills. The results of this study provide important information regarding future meta-analytic research and the application of ethnomathematics in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penggunaan YouTube dalam konteks pembelajaran ekonomi melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data dikumpulkan dari artikel jurnal yang dipublikasikan antara 2017 hingga 2022, dengan sumber yang berasal dari Google Scholar, Sinta, dan Research Gate. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan YouTube secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan minat siswa dalam analisis dan menjadi alat untuk mencari informasi, berita, serta berbagi video guna mengatasi rasa jenuh dalam proses belajar-mengajar di kelas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pemanfaatan YouTube memberikan dampak positif dalam pembelajaran ekonomi. Integrasi YouTube dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, memfasilitasi proses analisis, dan memberikan akses yang lebih dinamis terhadap informasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan YouTube memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran ekonomi dan menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan efektif bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to review the literature on applying dynamic geometry software to improve mathematical problem-solving skills. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which includes planning, implementation, and reporting. Searching for articles using the Publish or Perish tool in the Google Scholar database. There were 100 articles found at the initial stage, with 15 that met the inclusion and exclusion benchmarks. The results of this study show that: 1). The Asian continent is the most widely used location in the application of dynamic geometry software, 2) Secondary school education level dominates research exposure, 3) Geogebra is the most widely used software in the application of dynamic geometry software to improve mathematical problem-solving, 4) The application of dynamic geometry software is dominated by Schoenfield's problem-solving theory where the use of software can meet five stages of problem-solving Schoenfield, i.e., reading, analysis, exploration, planning, implementation, and verification.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a learning design to increase numeracy literacy and critical thinking character of elementary school students based on ethnomathematics using Polya's problem-solving steps. This type of research is library research. The results showed that Polya's problem-solving steps can be used to design learning syntax as follows. Polya's first step is to understand the problem of producing a learning design menu, let's get to know culture, learn to get flat, and learn numeracy through films or videos from the MK Modul NusantaraMBKM Dr Soetomo University. The second step is polya learning planning to produce a learning design menu for identifying flat shapes based on the questions in learning numeracy with number content, geometry & measurement, algebra, and data & uncertainty. The third step is to implement the lesson plan, produce a learning design menu, let's develop alternative answers. The fourth step is to reflect on learning to produce a learning design menu, let's reflect. Increasing numeracy literacy and critical thinking character can be built on the first, second, third and fourth steps of solving Polya's problems.
