Abstract

This research focuses on examining the level of effectiveness of mathematics learning e-modules in improving students' abilities in the field of numeracy literacy, especially at the initial level in the secondary school years. Based on the quasi-experimental design used and then using the one group pretest-posttest formula, this research is included in the experimental category. The population group for this study were grade 7 students at SMP Negeri 13 Malang, and the sample consisted of 20 grade 7A students. The sampling technique used is purposive non probability type. Quantitative data in this research was collected through tests using pretest and posttest sheets. Data analysis was carried out using a paired t-test using the SPSS program and the gain value formula. Based on the research results, it is known that the t-test significance level is 0.002, which means that the significance value is less than 0.05. As for the calculation of the gain value, the result was 0.4 or equivalent to the medium level effective category. So it is concluded that the e-learning module is effective in improving students' abilities in the numeracy literacy aspect.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the concept of geometry contained in the monument of Malang City. This research is a qualitative research with ethnographic approach.  Data collection techniques used were observation and literature study. This study concluded that the Malang City monument has mathematical concepts that can be applied in learning activities, namely the concept of flat and spatial shapes.

Abstract

Development of digital-era force teaching and learning situation to have a technology innovation, also in teaching and learning mathematics. Mathematics include an abstract object, so it needs to innovate learning media and learning model to connect from an abstract object to concrete or contextual object so that students can easily understand mathematics. The fact that students’ problem solving skills is still low can be reduced by using appropriate media learning that suitable with students’ characteristics and technology development. This research aims to develop Android-based mathematics learning media with a contextual approach to material on systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) that is valid and practical, and effective in improving students' problem solving abilities. The method used in this research is the ADDIE method (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). This research produced a product in the form of Android-based mathematics learning media called MO SPLDV which was categorized as valid with a percentage of 78.378% and the practicality level of the product was obtained in the very practical category with a percentage of 90.42%. This product is effective in improving students' problem solving abilities based on the results of the N-Gain calculation which shows g = 0.5 which is classified as medium.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Trisakti Veterans Middle School, Mulyorejo. The purpose of writing this article is to explain the impact brought by KKM UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang when trying to increase the learning motivation of students thereby holding a socialization event with the theme “Socialization of Anti Mager Learning Motivation 2023” which took place on January 6, 2023, in the junior high school hall Veteran Trisakti, Mulyorejo. The authors found the fact that students in this junior high school have low to zero interest and motivation in learning. The socialization carried out was relatively simple but effective. The resource person provides interactive material so that students can interact during socialization. After conducting socialization, the author can see the direct impact felt by students at Trisakti Veterans Middle School. Basically, they become more motivated to learn. They also become aware of the problems that often hinder them in learning.
