Abstract

Pada regresi nonparametrik spline menentukan titik knot optimal menjadi hal yang sangat penting. Model regresi spline terbaik dihasilkan dari pemilihan titik knot yang paling optimal. Terdapat beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan untuk memilih titik knot optimal, antara lain Cross Validation (CV), Generalized Cross Validation (GCV), Unbiassed Risk (UBR) dan Generalized Maximum Likelihood (GML). Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang perbandingan model regresi spline nonparametrik multivariabel dengan menggunakan metode GCV dan UBR sebagai metode pemilihan titik knot optimal. Kriteria pemilihan model terbaik adalah berdasarkan nilai MSE dan R2adj. Selanjutnya akan dilakukan pemodelan menggunakan data Angka Kematian Maternal di Jawa Timur dengan menggunakan regresi nonparametrik spline. Pada hasil penelitian didapatkan menggunakan metode GCV, titik knot optimum adalah menggunakan kombinasi titik knot 2-3-2-2-1 yang menghasilkan nilai MSE 0,002059. Selanjutnya pada uji parameter didapatkan bahwa semua variabel berpengaruh signifikan dan semua asumsi residual terpenuhi dengan nilai R2adj adalah sebesar 92,4%. Sementara, dengan metode UBR didapatkan titik knot optimum adalah menggunakan satu titik knot yang menghasilkan nilai MSE sebesar 0,01315. Pada uji parameter didapatkan bahwa semua variabel tidak berpengaruh signifikan dan asumsi residual distribusi normal tidak terpenuhi dengan nilai R2adj adalah sebesar 52,15%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa pemodelan regresi nonparametrik dengan menggunakan metode GCV lebih baik untuk data angka kematian maternal dibandingkan menggunakan metode UBR dalam pemilihan titik knot.

Abstract

This research focuses on examining the level of effectiveness of mathematics learning e-modules in improving students' abilities in the field of numeracy literacy, especially at the initial level in the secondary school years. Based on the quasi-experimental design used and then using the one group pretest-posttest formula, this research is included in the experimental category. The population group for this study were grade 7 students at SMP Negeri 13 Malang, and the sample consisted of 20 grade 7A students. The sampling technique used is purposive non probability type. Quantitative data in this research was collected through tests using pretest and posttest sheets. Data analysis was carried out using a paired t-test using the SPSS program and the gain value formula. Based on the research results, it is known that the t-test significance level is 0.002, which means that the significance value is less than 0.05. As for the calculation of the gain value, the result was 0.4 or equivalent to the medium level effective category. So it is concluded that the e-learning module is effective in improving students' abilities in the numeracy literacy aspect.

Abstract

The future of a nation depends on how good the quality of education and human resources of the nation is. Higher education is an important part of the world of education that carries the responsibility in an effort to educate the nation's life. This study aims to determine the factors that influence student attitudes in choosing to continue their studies at Islamic Higher Education (PTAI). The background of this research is that there is a significant gap between PTN and PTAI enthusiasts and the lack of student interest in Islamic tertiary institutions is very interesting to be used as research study material to find out things that are considered by students in choosing PTAI. The results of the study indicate that the data used have met the assumption test of validity, reliability, adequacy and feasibility of the data so that it can be continued in the next analysis using factor analysis using PCA. All the variables contained in this study have an extraction value of more than 50%, so it can be concluded that all the variables used can explain these factors. In the "% of variance" column, because the specified eigenvalues ​​is 1, then the value to be taken has eigenvalues ​​greater than 1, there are component 1, component 2, component 3, component 4, and component 5. If you use 5 components then the total factors that can explain the variance are 20.011% + 19.692% + 15.935% + 14.632% + 10.745% = 81.015%

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the whole way we live, especially in the field of education. Distance learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a stressful effect on students. This study aims to model the factors that influence students' stress levels towards distance learning. A total of 256 students of the Faculty of Teacher Training at Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang State Islamic University participated in answering a 4-scale Likert questionnaire that was analyzed using the ordinal logistic regression method. The results of the study prove that there are significant factors affecting student stress levels in distance learning during the pandemic. These factors are: (1) different environments between students and lecturers; (2) frequency of assignments; (3) difficulty in understanding the material; (4) strong internet connection; (5) difficulty in coordinating with groups; (6) non-fixed lecture schedules; (7) the number of activities at home; and, (8) internet quota needs. The power of association score R2 with the Nagelkerke method was obtained by 0.776 (77.6%) which means that 77.6% of the independent variables were able to explain the stress level of students.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Pandemi covid-19 telah mengubah keseluruhan cara hidup kita, khususnya bidang pendidikan. Pembelajaran jarak jauh sebagai dampak dari adanya pandemic covid-19 telah memberikan pengaruh stres pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemodelan terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat stres mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran jarak jauh. Sebanyak 256 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang berpartisipasi dalam menjawab angket Likert berskala 4 dan dianalisis dengan metode regresi logistik ordinal. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat faktor signifikan mempengaruhi tingkat stres mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemi. Faktor-faktor tersebut adalah: (1) lingkungan yang berbeda antara mahasiswa dengan dosen; (2) intensitas pemberian tugas; (3) kesulitan memahami materi; (4) kelancaran akses internet; (5) kesulitan berkoordinasi dengan kelompok; (6) jadwal perkuliahan yang tidak tetap; (7) banyaknya kegiatan di rumah, dan (8) kebutuhan kuota internet. Nilai kekuatan asosiasi R2 dengan metode Nagelkerke diperoleh sebesar 0,776 (77,6%) yang menunjukkan bahwa 77,6 %  variabel bebas mampu menjelaskan tingkat stres mahasiswa.

Abstract

Digital technology is a hot topic among students, we cannot be separated from digital technology in our lives. There are still many students who are not interested in mathematics subjects which are considered very challenging to understand, troublesome and boring. This means that researchers consider learning media that make it easier for students to understand the material. Therefore, researchers tried to examine how to increase the effectiveness of GeoMath media in integrative geometry learning. GeoMath is an Android-based ICT media that is useful for assisting students in handling learning, especially geometry material in mathematics lessons. From the data obtained, it was found that using Geomath media was proven to increase effectiveness in improving learning outcomes

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between self-compassion, perceived social support, academic stress, and mental well-being among Fast Track students at UIN Malang. Adopting a quantitative approach, the research employs a correlational design to examine the interactions of these variables in a high-pressure academic environment. Data were collected from a 61% sample of Fast Track students using a structured questionnaire, incorporating validated scales for self-compassion, social support, academic stress, and mental well-being.  The findings reveal that Fast Track students generally exhibit high self-compassion, significantly correlated with their mental well-being. High levels of self-kindness, mindfulness, and an awareness of shared humanity were prominent among the students, suggesting a solid psychological resilience. Perceived social support from family and friends significantly impacted overall well-being, though its direct influence on academic stress was more complex. The research did not find a significant direct relationship between self-compassion and academic stress, indicating that self-compassion aids in managing emotional responses to stress rather than reducing it.The study underscores the need for a holistic approach to supporting students in accelerated academic programs. The findings suggest that enhancing self-compassion and strengthening social support networks can improve students' academic performance and mental well-being. This research contributes to understanding students' psychological dynamics in high-pressure academic settings. It provides insights for developing targeted interventions and support systems to foster a balanced and supportive educational environment.

Abstract

In the pharmacy system, there is a lot of drug data, transaction data, and others that are impossible to memorize. It takes a system that can record the data by making improvements in the management of a data processing system. Improvements that will be made are creating a recording system using a computer-based system, both in terms of inventory data collection, transaction data recording, and other processes related to activities at the pharmacy concerned. In designing this drug sales system using the waterfall method (SDLC) to find out the design for making the system needed. The purpose of this study is to find out the use of information systems based on drug sales, sales management and inventory of drug supply. The test results of this drug sales information system are proven by questionnaire respondents with almost 90% results, the use of this information system proves that it is very necessary and useful for the general public.

Abstract

Mathematical communication ability is a key component of overall mathematical proficiency. Enhancing this skill can be achieved through the application of an effective learning model. The RADEC learning model serves as a promising method to boost students’ mathematical communication capabilities. This study seeks to examine the differences in mathematical communication skills between an experimental group taught using the RADEC model and a control group, as well as to evaluate the model’s effectiveness in fostering these skills. Employing a quantitative approach with a true experimental design and a pretest-posttest control group setup, the research was carried out in a school located in Mojokerto City, involving class XE1 as the experimental group and XE2 as the control. Data were gathered via tests and observations, utilizing instruments such as mathematical communication skill assessments and observation checklists for RADEC implementation. The data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Findings indicated a notable difference between the experimental and control groups, with mean scores of 31.4 and 21.3 respectively. The Mann-Whitney U test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirming the difference was statistically significant. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis revealed that the improvement in mathematical communication skills was moderate. In summary, the RADEC learning model effectively enhances students’ ability to communicate mathematically.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the group investigation learning model on the activeness and understanding of student material in mathematics lessons. This research is a quasi-experimental research using a quantitative approach, while the design of this study is a pretest-posttest control group design, with a research population of class VII at MTs Negeri 1 Malang. The research sample is class VII G as an experimental class and class VII H as a control class. The result of this study is that the group investigation learning model is effective in student activity in mathematics lessons with the average pretest score is 77.97 and the average posttest score is 81.17. The group investigation learning model is effective in understanding student material in mathematics lessons with an average pretest score of 49.1 and an average posttest score of 84.1. The results of the calculation of the t-test of student activeness questionnaires and student material comprehension tests show that H0 rejected and Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that the application of the group investigation learning model is effective for the activeness and understanding of student material in mathematics lessons. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran group investigation terhadap keaktifan dan pemahaman materi siswa pada pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, Adapun desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design, dengan populasi penelitian yaitu kelas VII di MTs Negeri 1 Malang. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII H sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil pada penelitian ini yaitu model pembelajaran group investigation efektif terhadap keaktifan siswa pada pelajaran matematika dengan nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 77,97 dan nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 81,17. Model pembelajaran group investigation efektif terhadap pemahaman materi siswa pada pelajaran matematika dengan nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 49,1 dan nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 84,1. Hasil perhitungan uji-t angket keaktifan siswa dan tes pemahaman materi siswa menunjukkan bahwa ditolak dan diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran group investigation efektif terhadap keaktifan dan pemahaman materi siswa pada pelajaran matematika.
