Abstract

AbstractAssertive ability is behavior that is open, honest about one's feelings, desires in a proportional manner and still respects the rights of other people. Unfortunately, there are children who show less assertive abilities, which hinders their communication and socialization. For this reason, interventions need to be carried out to help improve children's assertive abilities. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the wheel of my emotions game to improve assertive abilities in Kindergarten B children. This research uses the single subject research method, namely experimental research with a single sample. Data was obtained by observation, interviews and psychological tests. Calculation of data before and after intervention using the Wilcoxon test and obtaining a Z score of -2.975 with asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) has a value of 0.003 ( 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is an influence of using the Wheel of Emotions game on the assertive abilities of Kindergarten B children at TKIT Harapan Bunda Semarang. With this research, it is hoped that it can broaden PAUD teachers' insight into learning alternatives that can stimulate students' assertive abilities so that they can be better prepared for the next level of education.Keywords: assertive; early childhood; emotion wheelAbstrakKemampuan asertif yaitu perilaku yang terbuka, jujur akan perasaannya, keinginannya dengan cara proporsional dan tetap menghargai hak orang lain. Sayangnya ada anak yang menunjukkan kemampuan asertif yang kurang sehingga menghambat komunikasi dan sosialisanya. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan intervensi untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan asertif pada anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas permainan roda emosiku untuk meningkatkan kemampuan asertif pada anak TK B. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode single subject research, yaitu penelitian eksperimen dengan sampel tunggal. Data diperoleh dengan observasi,wawancara dan psikotes. Perhitungan data sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dengan uji wilcoxon dan diperoleh Z scor -2,975 dengan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) bernilai 0,003 ( 0.05) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunakan permainan Roda Emosiku terhadap kemampuan asertif anak TK B di TKIT Harapan Bunda Semarang. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan guru-guru PAUD tentang alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulasi kemampuan asertif anak didik sehingga bisa lebih siap menuju jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya.Kata kunci: asertif; anak usia dini; roda emosiku

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to evaluate the use of brain gym techniques in increasing learning concentration in early childhood. The development of early childhood learning will be hampered if students' concentration or attention to the material taught by the teacher is not met, so that students cannot achieve the expected results. Brain gym has various benefits, especially in balancing left and right brain function, and can increase children's enthusiasm for learning. The method used in this research is Single Subject Research, where this method is a research design used to evaluate the impact of a treatment on one individual case. The results of this research show that the brain gym is quite effective in improving the concentration abilities of Kindergarten B students at TK-IT Harapan Bunda, which is indicated by changes in the subject's behavior after being given the brain gym for three weeks.Keywords: Concentrate; Early childhood; Brain gymAbstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan teknik brain gym dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar anak usia dini. Pemahaman tentang pembelajaran anak usia dini akan terkendala apabila konsentrasi atau perhatian siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan oleh guru tidak terpenuhi, sehingga siswa tidak dapat mencapai hasil yang diharapkan. Brain gym memiliki berbagai manfaat terutama dalam menyeimbangkan fungsi otak kiri dan kanan, serta dapat meningkatkan semangat belajar anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Single Subject Research dimana metode ini sebagai suatu desain penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi dampak suatu perlakuan pada satu kasus individu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa brain gym dapat menstimulasi kemampuan konsentrasi siswa TK B di TK-IT Harapan Bunda yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya perubahan perilaku subjek setelah diberikan braing gym selama tiga minggu.Kata kunci: Konsentrasi, Anak usia dini; Senam otak

Abstract

Living a life in a foreign land is not easy, because you have to be far from your nuclear family. However, to achieve a better life, many people migrate to get higher education outside the region. Migrant students will certainly experience a lot of complex mental turmoil. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of social support and academic resilience on psychological well-being in migrant students from outside Java. The method used is quantitative multiple linear regression and simple linear regression. The number of participants was 240 migrant students from outside Java using accidental sampling techniques. Measurements used Oslo Social Support (OSSS-13), Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30), and Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale (RPWBS). The results of the study showed that social support and academic resilience together did not affect psychological well-being (F = 1.796 and sig. = 0.168; p> 0.05). Specifically, social support does not affect psychological well-being (t = -1.716 and sig. = 0.087; p>0.05). Likewise, academic resilience does not affect psychological well-being (t = -0.962 and sig. = 0.337; p>0.05). These results indicate that social support and resilience are not the main factors that influence the achievement of psychological well-being of students from outside Java.

Abstract

Building effective communication between parents and children within the family can be a challenging task. This is also the case for foster mothers at SOS Children’s Village Semarang, who face unique challenges in establishing communication with their foster children from diverse backgrounds and age groups. These circumstances present specific difficulties in achieving effective interpersonal communication in their caregiving roles. This training program aims to improve the interpersonal communication skills of foster mothers when interacting with children. The training was conducted over four sessions using key concepts from the Parents Effectiveness Training (PET) program, namely Active Listening, I-Messages, the Behavior Window, and No-Lose Conflict Resolution. The training program is expected to enhance the interpersonal communication skills of foster mothers. This study employed a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental approach. The research design followed a one-group pre-test–post-test format, comparing scores before and after the intervention within the same group. The analysis results showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores (Z = -2.80, p = 0.0019 < 0.05), indicating that the PET training program had a highly significant impact and demonstrated strong effectiveness in improving the interpersonal communication abilities of foster mothers.Membangun komunikasi yang efektif antara orang tua dan anak-anak dalam suatu keluarga bukanlah hal yang mudah. Hal ini terjadi juga bagi Ibu asuh di SOS Children’s Village Semarang yang menghadapi permasalahan dalam membangun komunikasi dengan anak-anak asuh nya yang memiliki latar belakang dan rentang usia yang berbeda. Hal ini menjadi tantangan tersendiri untuk memiliki komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif saat memberikan pengasuhan. Tujuan program pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal ibu asuh dalam berkomunikasi dengan anak-anak. Pelatihan dilakukan selama 4 kali pertemuan dengan menggunakan konsep kunci yang ada dalam program pelatihan Parents Effectivess Training (PET) yaitu Active Listening, I-Messages, Behavior Window dan No-Lose Conflict Resolution. Ada kemungkinan program pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal pada ibu asuh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest, yaitu dengan membandingkan skor sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pada kelompok yang sama. Dari hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pre-test dan post-test (Z = -2.80, p = 0.0019 < 0.05), yang mengindikasikan bahwa intervensi program pelatihan PET memberikan pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dan memiliki efektivitas yang tinggi dalam peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal ibu asuh.
