Abstract

Sunlight contains UV rays which have a negative impact on the skin. These bad impacts can be minimized by using UV protective materials, both natural and synthetic. Kopasanda leaves (Chromolaena odorata L) contain high levels of phenolic compounds, flavonoids and tannins. This research aims to determine the UV protection activity of kopasanda leaves (Chromolaena odorata L) using Sun Protection Factor (SPF) calculations. The SPF value was measured using the UV-VIS spectrophotometry method in the wavelength range 290-320 nm. The results of the research showed that kopasanda leaves (Chromolaena odorata L) had protective activity against UV rays at a 1, 3 and 5% re respectively of 31,794, 32,902 and 33,737 (the SPF value categories are ultra).

Abstract

This study delves into the role of Sunda local wisdom, specifically the Leuit, as a representation of social accounting in the traditional Ciptagelar village, Sukabumi. Through an ethnographic approach, the research deeply explores how the Leuit functions as a social accounting system in the lives of the local community. The Leuit, as a traditional rice barn, not only serves as a food storage facility but also symbolizes sustainability and harmony with nature, playing a crucial role in maintaining the community's well-being. Additionally, this study evaluates corporate efforts in environmental preservation through the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a form of environmental accounting. A case study was conducted on PT Tirta Investama to assess their CSR contributions towards environmental sustainability and the alignment of these CSR programs with the sustainability principles embodied by the Leuit. By combining ethnographic and case study approaches, this research provides deep insights into social and environmental accounting practices within the context of local wisdom in Ciptagelar Village, as well as the impact of CSR initiatives in the corporate sector. This study aims to offer guidance on integrating traditional values into modern social and environmental accounting practices.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of using interactive learning media based on Wordwall on students' learning motivation in Sociology subject at grade X Phase E of SMA Negeri 16 Padang. The study involved 39 students, consisting of 19 male and 20 female students. The research employed a quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. The results indicated a significant effect of Wordwall media on students' learning motivation, with a significance value of 0.010 (p < 0.05). This suggests that the use of interactive learning media positively influences students' motivation in learning Sociology. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more innovative and effective teaching methods.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing digital interactive e-books on strengthening the reading literacy of elementary school students, while simultaneously identifying factors that influence the effectiveness of their use in learning contexts. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) drawing on data from the SINTA, GARUDA, and Google Scholar databases. A total of 10 scientific journal articles meeting the inclusion criteria were systematically analyzed. The findings indicate that interactive e-books exert a positive and significant impact on improving reading literacy through features such as animation, audio, text-to-speech, video, and educational quizzes. All development studies reported excellent levels of validity and practicality, as well as measurable effectiveness. Nevertheless, limitations in technological devices, internet access, and teacher readiness remain the primary barriers to implementation. It is recommended that the development of interactive e-books be accompanied by strengthening teachers’ digital competencies and the provision of adequate technological infrastructure in schools.
