Abstract

The purpose based on this research was to find out whether or not the hypercorrection approach reduces the student’s fossilization in English pronunciation at SMA Negeri 7 Selayar. The researcher used a pre-experimental design and quantitative method using one class for a pre-test and post-test.In the 2022–2023 academic year, the population of this study were 32 students of class 10 IPA at SMA Negeri 7 Selayar. To determine the research sample, cluster sampling method is used. The speaking test is used a data collection method.The results show of the study show that the application of the hypercorrection approach can reduce the fossilization of students’ pronunciation in vowels (/i:/, /I/, /e/, /æ/). This is evidenced by using pre-test scores (39.53) and a post-tests score(72.18), which shows that in addition to the test scores, students’ pronunciation in the post-test is higher than the pre-test. (29.10) which is higher based on the t-table value (1.696). As a result, the Null hypothesis was refuted and the alternative hypothesis was adopted. In the study the researcher came to the conclusion that Hypercorrection reduces student’s fossilization of pronunciation.

Abstract

This research purpose to find out improvement of the students’ speaking skills used social interaction at the eighth grade students of SMAN 5 Selayar. The design of this research used a classroom action research which consisted of two cycles. Each cycles consisted of three meetings. The procedure of this research in every cycle consisted of four phases They had plans to action, observation, and reflection Subject matter for the research of class were the pupils XI which consisted of 20 students. The instrument of this research used interview. The result of students speaking skills in terms pronunciation and vocabulary in D-test, cycle I, and cycle II had improved in different scores. The research demonstrated there were was a significant improvement of the students speaking skills used by social interaction models. This statement could prove by the students’ mean score of diagnostic test was 44, but it had increased to 62.6 in cycle I. And in Cycle II was 77.5. it means that the students’ speaking skills from cycle I to cycle II was classified successful. Social Interaction could improve the students’ speaking skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out whether or not Task-Based Language Teaching method improve the writing skills of class X AP students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bontoala in terms of grammar and mechanics. The research method used was quantitative with a pre-experimental design. The population in this study were students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bontoala. The number of samples used was 20 students and the sample class were selected using a purposive sampling technique.Based on the results, the pre-test score of students' writing skills in terms of grammar was 65.8 and the post-test score was 81.4. While the Pre-test score of students' skills in terms of mechanics was 64.0 and post-test is 83.0. After analyzed the results of the pre-test and post-test data, the researcher found that in writing skills, p-value (0.000) less than α (0.05), this indicates that the null hypothesis is rejected and alternative hypothesis is accepted.The researcher concluded that Task-Based Language Teaching through descriptive text at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bontoala improved students' writing skills. There is a significant difference in students' writing skills in terms of grammar and mechanics with the use of Task-Based Language Teaching methods.

Abstract

Guru harus menemukan teknik pengajaran yang memotivasi dan menggairahkan siswa tentang belajar kosa kata. Salah satu teknik yang dapat membuat siswa bersemangat dan memiliki motivasi untuk belajar bahasa adalah dengan memanfaatkan permainan. Salah satu alasan utama menggunakan permainan untuk mengajar adalah bahwa permainan itu sangat menyenangkan bagi guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peningkatan kosa kata siswa melalui penggunaan permainan tebak kata untuk siswa kelas dua SMA Negeri 13 Pangkep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kosakata siswa ESP dengan menggunakan Game tebak kata pada siswa di SMA Negeri 13 Pangkep. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Pendekatan PTK dipilih karena pendekatan ini sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menambah kosakata siswa ESP dengan menggunakan permainan tebak kata. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas dua SMA Negeri 13 Pangkep tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Penulis menggunakan dua siklus dari dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik permainan tebak kata meningkatkan pencapaian kosa kata siswa. Ini menyiratkan bahwa teknik permainan tebak kata membantu siswa mempelajari kosa kata dengan lebih mudah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul” Gaya Bahasa pada antalogi puisi siswa-siswi SMAN 13 Pangkep ”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya bahasa yang digunakan oleh siswa SMAN 13 Pangkep. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penulis berusaha  mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa perbandingan pada antalogi puisi siswa-siwi SMAN 13 Pangkep dalam  pembelajaran  sastra  di  Sekolah. Hasil penelitian  ini  terdapat gaya bahasa perbandingan jenis Gaya bahasa perbandingan dalam penelitian ini yaitu alegori, alusio, hiperbola, metafora, personifikasi, simile, dan sinekdoke Pembelajaran sastra di SMA bahwa antalogi puisi tersebut dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran.Simpulan dalam penelitian ini, pengajaran mengenai  gaya  bahasa  dalam  antalogi  puisi  tersebut  dapat  mengembangkan  kreativitas siswa dalam memilih kata dan merangkai kata-kata sampai menghasilkan karya sastra yang memiliki nilai estetika
